Nerf Wife
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 10 ธ.ค. 2012
Wife of a #Nerf collector. This is me documenting my journey into the Nerf world.
Fly-wheel cages.
Short mega darts.
FPS.
Those are terms that I never thought I would use. Yet, here I am.
How did I get here, you might ask. Well, it all started with the words, “I do.”

The Hollander (3D printed blaster from GenCo Megaworks)
มุมมอง 18521 วันที่ผ่านมา
Today is all about the Hollander blaster from Genco Megaworks. This is a fully automatic, compact, top-loading blaster... with, my favorite - LEDs. I recently reviewed the Rail Cleaner, also from GenCo Megaworks, and people seemed to like it. So I am hoping you enjoy this review as well! #NerfWife #Nerf #NerfGun #nerfornothing #nerfwar #nerfnation #nerfmods #nerfmod #nerfguns #nerfblaster #nerf...
The Nerf Gjallarhorn (Destiny)
มุมมอง 35928 วันที่ผ่านมา
I was always looking at this ginormous, 4-foot blaster in my husband's collection and finally asked what it was. The Nerf Gjallarhorn, a replica blaster from the video game, Destiny. (I recently did a mini-review of the Destiny Ace of Spades too, so if you haven't checked our that short, please do!) But today is all about the Gjallarhorn. #NerfWife #Nerf #NerfGun #nerfornothing #nerfwar #nerfna...
The Rail Cleaner: 3D Printed Electronic Blaster
มุมมอง 491หลายเดือนก่อน
Today we look at the Rail Cleaner. It is a 3D printed electronic flywheel blaster created by Genco Megaworks (Esty). This blaster is unique from other electronic blasters in that it fires multiple darts per shot in one trigger pill. This shotgun effect has been seen on springer blasters before, but rarely on flywheel blasters. #NerfWife #Nerf #NerfGun #nerfornothing #nerfwar #nerfnation #nerfmo...
Nerf Blasters for Kids: Holiday Guide
มุมมอง 581หลายเดือนก่อน
So today I jump from Nerf Wife to Nerf Mom. As I start my holiday shopping for my own kids, their friends, kids in the family, etc., I was trying to find some kid-friendly blasters to put under the tree. Many of the blasters in my husband's collection are not age appropriate for kids and they could get hurt. So it's my goal to have some kid-friendly blasters in the house as well. I talk about t...
Jurassic Park Movie Tie-In Blasters
มุมมอง 1.3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
With my husband being a Nerf and dinosaur nerd, it is not surprise that his favorite movie is Jurassic Park and that he has the movie-tie in blasters. Today we are talking about three Jurassic Park blasters: The Pyroraptor Blaster, the Adventure Force Jurassic Pro Tranquilizer Blaster, and the T-Rex Tranq Blaster. #NerfWife #Nerf #NerfGun #nerfornothing #nerfwar #nerfnation #nerfmods #nerfmod #...

Best channel on youtube! Happy Holidays!
Thank you!!! Happy Holidays!
Again a cool video. i like the style of the older blaster. fun and not performance. :)
Thank you!!! Happy Holidays!
That whiptail scorpion was what started it all for me. Man that takes me back.
That one is one of my favorites. Thank you for watching, as always. Happy holidays!
I fully agree. Eye protection is a must have! Nice blaster. :)
Now that is what I would love to wake up to Christmas morning!
i wish they made some cool blasters again
The vintage ones are becoming my favorite blasters!
@ they have fun ideas etc
What a wonderfull nerfy time. :)
(gasp) Razer Fin!!! I totally bought one of those and shoved it in my closet and forgot about it. I think I want to mod it.
That is such a cool blaster. I bet it would be really fun to mod!
That manta ray had some power!
Cool video. :) When you shpwed the gator, you mentioned "Micro Darts". I think they are called Mega Darts. :) i love with how much fun an joy you show the blasters. Please don´t stop. :)
There are two different dart sizes that the blasters in the Max Force series use. The smaller micro darts and the larger mega darts (both suction-cup style darts that Nerf has now moved away from). The Gator, being a smaller blaster, does use those smaller vintage style micro darts. As always, thanks for watching. Hope you are enjoying the series.
@@NerfWife Oh. Sorry, Didn´t know that. :)
No worries at all! I just learned it too, lol! Thank you for paying so much attention to the videos and actually listening to the content!
The only one of these I have is the Electric Eel, but it fell from its shelf as I was moving things around and cracked down both sides. Really sucks, it was totally functional too. Now its just for display.... Keep yours safe!!!
Oh no! That is such a cool one.
I so wanted the Eagle Eye back in the day but my income wasn't sufficient to justify buying it. 😿
I had a Gator as a child in the 90’s. What did all that cost with their boxes?
My husband got lucky on eBay with a lot of them and got them pretty cheap. Some were a little harder and pricier like the Manta Ray and Electric Eel. If you are looking to collect, he said look on eBay because there are some pretty good deals.
I don't know how you got that to work, I tried and ended up messing the entire blaster up
It was trial and error for my husband. It wasnt a one and done. He broke the first blaster, needed to fit a couple cages and adjust flywheel height to get it operational. Definitely some tinkering. If there is interest in a video, we could show the internals in a short and explain few of the hurdles.
@NerfWife update I fixed it I somehow messed up a motor, I have fixed this issue
Yea! Glad you got it to work!
Some of them were completly unknown to me
Well, they all were completely unknown to me before this video. 🤣 My husband couldn’t wait to tell me about them!
WOUW. You two have a blaster museum. :) Cool video
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
So many bright colors! Definitely the best nerf series theme. The Gator is probably my favorite.
They are really awesome blasters. Not sure of my favorite yet! Thanks for watching!
Absolutely love this! I'm glad you are enjoying the hobby!
Thanks for watching! I am definitely enjoying the world of Nerf!
Scary cool! Haha
Super cool!
the LED´s are so cool
That was something I wanted so bad when I was a kid!
I can see why! It’s awesome! Thanks for watching.
That is such a neat blaster!
So how does the primong work now?
Electric power spins the gears which primes the spring. Once the spring is primed to a certain length, it fires.
Your the man ryan! And your wife is the !@#$
I love your enthusiasm! Long may you enjoy your husband and his Nerf collection!
Thank you so much! We definitely enjoy the collection!
LOVE! Those blaster are amazing. :) THX for sharing and showing it to us.
Glad you like them!
Well done. Nice crossbow.
Thanks! Stay tuned, more vintage blasters to come!
That thing is huge! Wouw THX for sharing
Stop using the wrong side of the ramrod
this is the nerf bfg we need and it is the nerf bfg we want
Doom guy approved. 👍🏽
@ ah man i wish i had doom eternal, all i played now was doom 1, 2 and 3
My husband plays Doom Eternal now and loves it. He said it is worth picking up now if you can get it on sale. He also said Doom 2016 is also very good, if you haven’t played it.
@ too young sadly lol i am 14
Ahhh! Well, something you can look forward to then! Lol.
i need this now thanks to you
How does a flywheeler shotgun work? I know with normal fly wheelers the bullets its gripped by both wheels, but when you have multiple bullets coming from one barrel, how would it work?
According to the husband… the flywheels grip half the dart and squeeze the top two darts and bottom two darts together when firing. So the flywheels are very concaved to grip as much of the dart as it can to hold them in place so they don’t pop out on the top and bottom when firing. A very clever firing mechanism.
@ Yea that is very neat!
I agree that I haven't seen that effect in flywheel blasters even once
The husband did say he knows of one other blaster… the final condition blaster. He doesn’t own it so he has not seen internally how it operates, but from what he can tell, it seems to operate in a similar manner to the Rail Cleaner. Hopefully at some point, he will be able to build one and we can review it on the channel.
@NerfWife Hey I look forward to that too.
That thing is crazy. I can't believe I met a girl who likes Nerf😂😂
My husband can’t believe it either! 🤣
This thing is beast. i love the designs from genco megaworks. And every blaster has a inique backstory. THX for review
Yeah, it’s a neat blaster! I always like when they light up too! Thanks for always watching!
Looks super sci-fi, that’s a head turner for sure at any Nerf meetups. 👍
100% agree!
on my maker world, I've released some ease of life upgrade for the wasp 77. I'm sure you'll like them.
Thanks Nerf Wife/Mom! I just added 2 of the nerf guns to my cart through your links. One for my Grandson and one for his Dad. haha Now they can run around like a couple of knuckleheads shooting each other while Mom goes to a spa day, (which is what she's getting; don't tell)! :) Thanks again!
Haha. So glad it was helpful. Which two blasters did you end up picking? Thanks so much for supporting the channel!!!
@@NerfWife I got him the Junior Explorer and the Junior Rookie Pack. Plus some extra darts and safety glasses. That should keep them busy! :) Thanks for your help.
W
Ddn´t know this versions exists. I say it again, you are a true blaster lexicon.
Haha! Have to thank my husband for that!
the spacer gimmick is cool
best of two worlds. :)
100%! Or should I say 65 million percent! Lol
NERF, a hobby for the whole family. :) Cool video again.
Thank you! Glad you my Nerf Mom mode! Lol
this blaster it just looks, not power. But i like it. :)
I agree. Looks nice but not very powerful! I was kind of surprised when I fired it!
Terrible blaster.
Hoping to do a longer review on it. I’ll be honest, I’m not familiar with the video game (my husband is the gamer), but he did like that it seemed to be a decent replica appearance-wise from the game.
The wasp 76 is my first AEG. It is very reliable and easy to operate/ maintain. The recoil is fun but redundant. I have a 3D printed shroud concealing/ stabilizing the pulsating barrel so it handles so much better. Great content, you have a new sub! 👍
Very cool and thank you so much for watching/subscribing! Lots more content to come!
Your husband is a very lucky man. I hope he knows that.
😊
@@NerfWife Wow, that was fast! I guessing you 2 don't have kids yet. The reason I discovered your channel was I was looking for a nerf gun for my 4 year old grandson for Xmas. Any suggestions?
I’m a mom to 12 year old and we have a 14 month old. Glad I don’t look as tired as I actually am on camera lol. I was actually talking to my husband this past weekend about doing a holiday episode about kid friendly blasters. I don’t have anything for you yet, but as I look into it, I’ll keep you posted. I would love to do a holiday episode like that.
@@NerfWife I'll be watching! Thank you very much.
I just posted a kid-friendly blaster episode. After looking at different nerf junior blasters, and some other brands, those are my top picks. We have so many kids come in and out of the house who want to play with my husband‘s collection. We need to get a supply of kid friendly ones to keep in the house too! Hope it helps!
Absolutely love Jurassic Park! Not as much as Star Wars though 😂! Unfortunately I don’t own any JP blasters, yet. Do have all the Dinosquads, even the microshot. Wow, 1997! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! My husband was thrilled to have me talk about these blasters… Even gave me that quote to say at the end of the video lol. Glad you enjoyed it!
the T-Rex was absolut new to me. THX for showing this to us. And big THX for your husband for sharing his collection with us.
Thanks so much for always watching!
