@@TheTransportTH-camryou can do that with any E40D though, if the boost builds up enough and the engine is revving high while the handbrake is on it will rev high when you launch it, got two vids of it on snap somewhere on 2 euro 5s and a Euro 6

@@stearmaster6.756 yeah the half handbrake launches are normal all e400s do that i mean like if u put your foot down 307 will rev higher than the rest of them which is why it had the power mode

@@TheTransportTH-camr only thing is that we do it with the handbrake fully on, oppose to half handbrake, we tend to use the half handbrake to force the vehicle to downshift between gears, which you would normally use in topodyn vehicles when you want to activate the powermode when it’s in ecomode

@@TheTransportTH-camr Is it any good?? Dear sir 'tis the absolute biblical standard of works on that subject. I have long scoured antique bookstalls countrywide seeking out a copy, but of no avail. I regularly consult it in the British Library as I am lucky enough to live nearby, but truth be told, I would traverse continents just for the honour of turning its pages...which by the way you are not allowed to do unless wearing cotton gloves.

@@SWTE728 any veg claim that the SL14s were awful, they are just average slow E40Ds just like the other batches. ive seen them for years they were nothing special livery red and white was nicr

@@TheTransportTH-camr I'm just going off the drivers' opinions posted online - they could've been a lot worse like the First SN12 batch, some of them can barely get out of the depot! (I've heard someone compare the reliability of Streetdecks favourably to the SN12s at their depot - yep, Streetdecks!) Not forgetting the tendency of many late 2000s/early 2010s ADL buses to frequently go into DPF regeneration and go really slow as a result.

@@TheCardiffTransportChannel no no no, thats not happening. there is no replacement for the omnidekkas though i think we may buy the U11DD to replace the omnicities+remaining om idekkas Imo cardiff shouldve kept the white E400s and not the omnidekkas, this would ensure a standardised fleet and not second hand ex london buses (anyone knows not to buy a ex london bus, they are battered)

@@TheTransportTH-camr Let's just hope that the X45 comes back one day! Really missing the X59 too, have great memories of driving into the P&R and catching the 63-reg Citaros into the city. Remember getting an Olympus once as well.

@@SWTE728 i agree! Even for me south of the city, the X45 provided great connections with the north side of town, and for many others! The 7 is simply a unsuitable replacement, X45 was well used as well, needs to come back!!

@@TheTransportTH-camr I was wondering that myself, you might be right with the ratio stuff, I remember a channel named GloriousWater mentioning that some of the SN darts never had their kickdowns or something, but they would smash through the gears really quick. So they would do what is happening in the video with the foot down. :)

@@dangerousdeo5113 I could FEEL the vibration on the seat, the bus was definetly being pushed back on the seat a little bit, it was a flying rocket, maybe MB175 is a exception to the rest of the worn out Citaro 2s after years of raggings
