3-turns roller skates. Here's an example of 3-turns on artistic inline roller skates. Roller skates are an amazing way to keep fit and have fun!
Artistic Inline Skating Practice April 2017

A few clips of me on Artistic Inline Roller Skates. Just like Ice without the ice! I'm skating on a few injuries and I did 5 sets of squats earlier that day so my legs were not in a jumping mood.
Rollerskating Jump and Spin Practice March 2017

Got back into Rollerskating late last year and here's some of my progress over the past few months.
Fabulous skating, fabulous teaching
Thank you so much ❤ one been looking for this information
This is great. Thank you so much, the crazy muscles I felt activating the first ones are crazy
Are you in the Chesapeake Bay area?
No. I used to live in Newport News, VA but now live in California.
Was stationed and skated in Hampton, VA. Can't recall the name of the compition ring or the name of the award-winning/championship couch/owner of the ring. My time spent skating there remains valuable and will be remembered. Thank you.
I believe you're referring to Nickie and I think his wife's name was Barbara at Plaza. I skated many competitions there. My home rink was Peninsula Family Skating Center.
@thezenofrollerskating Thank you, I currently reside in a geographic area where there are very few poor quality rinks with staff members who know nothing about skating or skating equipment, which makes perpetual artistic skating most discouraging for serious skaters. Your video tutorials are the next best thing to working with an outstanding will experienced and award winning skating couch in person. Please continue to shear invaluable and excellent assistance through your comprehensive online skating techniques. Thank you
This was exactly what I was looking for, thank you for making such a helpful and informative video ⭐️
You should come back to skating
What are you doing today we need more of you
Nice spins!😊
Please post more videos. I like how you breakdown the mechanics of the move. Thank you!
Love it
that was excellent thank you
Very nice! Next time add in the salchow! If you can do any tutorials, please do. Im learning my single jumps now.
Are you still in the area??
I'm still around and still skating every week. I plan on making videos again soon and putting together an online course.
please continue making more videos.... this will help many people thanks for this valuable video.
I could listen to this guy all day. I really appreciate your videos.
This can be done with out having those big brakes on right
All of the spins, the loop and euler jump can be done without toe stops. However, when it comes to the mapes and flip jumps you need a toe stop as they are toe assisted jump takeoffs.
your double mapes, or toe loop is bad ass. double takes some effort and bravery for sure. at first i just did not believe it. seeing is believing.
I don't know where your video sprung from considering I thought I'd seen every skating channel going, but this one video changed everything for me. I'm now pulling off a relatively smooth one foot spin (but with only one rotation, it's very early days cos I've only been skating for 6 months) but I'm doing it entirely on the big toe wheel. I want to get the entire inside edge next. Thank you!😃
Excellent explanation i keep in my mind the fact that i was wrong about my left shoulder
That's a Hamill Camel!!!! I love it!!!!
Hi! Can you tell us how to do a spin with crossed legs and an outer back spin please and also a mape jump??
You’re awesome!!!!!!
Love this!! Thank you!
I Am Wondering What Wheels Are You Specifically Using To Do Your Spins?
thanks this was really helpful
Thank you!
Which wheels are u using here? I just for mine today but mine are for concrete. Does yours work for both??
I'm learning the 3 turn, but try so hard and still can not do it, what is the sequance in order to pratice? Thank You!
Impressive height on your jumps! Your sit spin has great positions, and good speed and flow out. It’s so much harder on wheels than on ice. Great job! I’m very inspired
❤️ your videos! Thanks for posting them
Where do you skate? This place reminds me of a rink I frequented as a kid. Sunrise Roller Land.
You're right! That is Sunrise!
@@thezenofrollerskating Amazing that it still looks the same. I skated public sessions there in the early to mid 80s.
Thanks, great advice, I can do a two foot spin but not one yet so will try to keep an eye on the shoulder balancing. Great video!!
Very nice!
Nice!
Back in the early 1980s I competed in Freestyle rollerskating. I made it to nationals in 1980. I used to do a very unique version of this spin. At that time I don't think anybody else was doing this particular spin in competition except me. I am getting older and would like to pass this technique on. It was an inside back spin with my behind touching the back of my boot while clasping both hands on my right foot jump bar , with the skate rocked over on the two inside wheels , and then touching my nose to my left knee spinning like a top. I nailed this in competition every time. Would you be interested in discussing this with me sometime ?
Isn't that a cannonball sit spin?
Wow. You have a great sit spin! fast centered, low.
Just found your channel. Are you an adult roller skater? I was an adult ice skater. Now I am quad skating. Not a lot of quad FS skaters mostly dance. I hope you will make more vids.
Found the answer myself on your website. Starting at 17 is an adult skater for all intents and purposes.
@@claudianowakowski Yep I started late in the game but at the age of 44 I'm now skating better as an older adult then when I first started. I plan on making a course and updating a lot of my content in the coming year.
@@thezenofrollerskating Looking forward to seeing more from you. I miss the spins I used to do on ice. Most of what I do on quads is MITF. I also skate figures and loops. I did some quad FS when I was a kid (rec skating only).
Thanks for the pointers! Really helpful 👌
I want to learn a scratch spin which is easier the inner back spins or the scratch spins
I love how you do your inner back spins
So helpful!!
Glad you found this helpful! I plan to add more videos and update my website over the next few months so stay tuned for more great tips!
Which one is better: quad or snow white for figure skating?
You're an incredible skater, I really want to skate as good as you
Look what I found. This is a pretty great explanation.
I really love your explication. 🤗
Hey Mark, thanks for the video. I retired from long distance cycling after complete thirteen 100 mile events. My retirement from cycling, and competitive kickboxing, at 60 years of age, led me to re-discover long distance inline skating. I only want to learn how to skate injury free and love skating my 18 mile route which takes a little more than two hours to complete. I started feeling pain in my knee and realize, like kickboxing, that i have to do a lot more tweaking of stretching and strength exercises. So thanks for your vids.
I love the sit spin! I’ve been working on this one for years. Been a while since I’ve skated and having to get back in to it.
Very helpful! Glad I found this! What kind of skates do you skate in? And plates and wheels?
Thanks for the skating and exercise videos you do! Please make more!
Do you know if it's possible to do a scratch spin (the one in ice figure skating) on roller skates?
inner back straight pretty much is a scratch spin, just the leg is different
