The good times, and the bad!
Well, look at the cow I saw one wasn't looking really good. Did my best to help her out. On the upside, the animals are looking good. I gave a little insight to the farm since it has been a while.

Project tractor update.
มุมมอง 128หลายเดือนก่อน
Since I was not diligent with the filming of the assembly for the majority of this project, I decided to put together a simple and quick update on where we are now in the build. There is still a lot of work to do. I hope to have it done in the next few months.

Trying to sound like the guy from Just a Few Acres
lol. It must be a farming thing.
Oh that’s very sad😢
Definitely not a good day.
Did you check the ring gaps by putting them into their respective cylinders & checking with a feeler gage?
Absolutely. I start them in the cylinder and use the piston upside down to push them into the cylinder so they’re square and the cylinder then I check them with thefeeler gauge. Sharp eyes, sounds like you’ve rebuilt some engines.
@@AllyneFamilyFarms I mostly have worked on my old Triumph motorcycle over the years. I think there is a special tool for grinding the ends, but I remember just using a file. I go for the larger gap just to be safe. I only have had the jugs off twice - the first time was back in the early 1980's at 30,000 miles - I had it bored out .020 inch & put in new pistons. After I had thought it to be broken in - I took it on the freeway & at some point the rear wheel locked up; I pulled in the clutch & put on the front brake at the same time; once I had slowed down - I released the clutch & took off with no problem. Maybe ten years later I had the jugs off more to fix an oil leak & had the cylinder honed. I installed new rings at this time & made sure the gap was at the larger end. I now have 64,000 on the bike & it still runs good.
Wow, that’s pretty neat. I’m sure the wheel locking up seriously got your attention. I can only imagine that happening. Yes, there is a tool for it. But I also just use a file when needed. That’s how I was taught.
That parts kid is an example of failed parenting. I wouldn't call it a generational characteristic, but it is certainly becoming more common.
Good point! It’s really sad. Yes, it’s becoming far too common.
AMAZING 😮❤❤
Thank you!

I have a WC88. Never walk away from your chipper on large material or if you hear your RPMs of your tractor decreasing. That was you fatal error. You use the red bar to kick the feed into neutral and regain RPMs then pull the bar to continue feeding. Also slow down your feed rate for dry wood chipping. Obviously it is better on the machine and blades to chip green material. I do not think the wood that was caught would have been caught if you did not let your tractor RPMs dip so low. Be at that bar for anything large you chip so you can manually control/override the feed rate.
Thank you! Very wise words. I have learned the machine a little better since this event. I didn’t realize the green vs dry effects on the machine/blades. I have quite a bit more this fall to chip. Looking forward to it. I really love this thing. Thanks again!
Genius! Thanks for posting.
Thank you.
How does it handle weather? Do the eggs get wet?
@@skarrde1 here in Florida we get lots of rain. So far so good. They stay dry.
Actually wearing gloves, lol
Haha. Sometimes. This was messy and I needed to be able to clean up quick for work :)
They seem happy to see you
We’re here to please :)
Seems like this tragedy is the right of passage for all farms! That GP should def do the trick. Awesome dogs but sometimes they're just too good at what they do and it makes them seem stubborn.
You're absolutely correct about the right of passage! I know I have many painful lessons ahead. So far that dog is amazing. He lives a life of a Nightshifter. Soon as it gets dark he is definitely on patrol. Thanks for the comment.
Oh wow...didn't know it was that bad
It was fine until it wasn’t. I broke protocol and let the chicks stay out overnight.
I knew you could do it ❤
It’s not done yet :)
Works for kids too!😂
Haha.
It’s NEVER overkill to NEVER have to do it again man! That’s the goal. Do it once, do it right, and DONE! Nice work my man!
Thanks man. Absolutely amazing the stuff I found in this. As I finally am getting it back together, like the transmissions they’re definitely shifting way better. I can’t wait to get it running.
What tuner is that?
Ez lynk
What profile is it?
Weird seeing the pup on a leash
Haha yeah just trying to get him acquainted to the animals. Since he ran after the chickens, I figured I would put them on a leash to meet the bigger animals before they kick them in the head and do something bad. I just want him to understand what is good and what is bad. Coyotes are bad livestock are good.
What size is the tubing? Where can this tubing be purchased from? Do we need a water manifold? Do we need a commercial water meter?
Hello there. Kind of depends on your application and if you’re on city or well water. I’m watering a little over 400 trees. So I’m using 2 inch water supply forking off to three-quarter inch poly pipe. Which runs along side of the trees and then I believe it’s a quarter inch supply hose takes the water from the poly pipe to the trees themselves. Then I have a 2 gallon per hour dripper. That will be changed to a small sprayer as the trees get bigger and more water. I use well so I do not need a commercial water meter. I don’t necessarily have a manifold, but it does come off of the well which supplies my residence as well. Hope that’s helpful. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks for watching.
Lol...big boy
Oh man, when you were taking the diameter of the flange/o-ring as the hole diameter I was shouting "nooo! Don't do it!" at my phone 😆 These are def the mistakes we make as we're learning. I almost forgot to account for the sink flange when drilling a hole for my own faucet today
Haha. My heart sank when I realized what I did. I’m glad it was an easy fix. You’re right, these are the lessons we learn. I definitely learned that one, I will not do that again. Thanks for the comment!
I bet it fun to solve all it's mysteries ❤. It's like a autopsy 😂
Haha. Yeah, kinda is.
Enjoy this truly is your thing Columbo😂❤❤
It's like a used car with a beautiful paint job😂😂😂
Haha. You never know with this old equipment. This thing is older than me. All these things I find are telling a story.
notch the top center of the 4x4s 1.625'' wide 5'' down to fit a 2x6 then just set a 2x6 in the notch easy peasy
Good idea.
hope you're in the midwest! Got some heavy rains coming that should do you good!
I’m in North Florida. This is our dry season. Could definitely use some rain. Luckily a lot of the clover has already started coming up. Crimson Clover has already gone to seed. Hopefully, I’ll see it again next year.
Nice!
Thank you
😅
Where’s you farm closest to bro?
Close to Georgia
@@AllyneFamilyFarms i worked on a bee farm that was installing olive trees in Georgia, heard they're doing well, best of luck!
Thank you very much. I’m super excited to add these to the farm.
So I see you're at it again
I seem to keep myself busy.
Can’t wait to see the farm in person
Oh yes. We need to set something up.
if you are going to make that much smoke maybe a landscape rake and a grapple make a big pile and toss a match? lol just bustin balls thanks for the great vidjas.
Haha. I do think a mulcher is definitely called for. But this is a pretty good machine. Very well built no complaints. I didn’t even have to change the belts after all that smoke. Ha ha thanks for watching.
Suppliments are critical to Animal Health and Wellness! i use the same Grinder!
I absolutely agree. I’m still trying to tweak a few ingredients. Considering adding kelp. Oh yes, I love that grinder. Thanks for watching !
😂😂😂”No prostate problems here…”😅😅😂
Haha. So true.
Wow I hope they appreciate it 😂❤❤
Oh they love it
There is always a learning curve on a new piece of equipment, sometimes things go well and no issues, sometimes not. Throw some new belts on and mark it down as a lesson learned! Have you had any issues with the 88 since? I am looking to purchase one here soon. thanks for the video, new subscriver.
I couldn’t agree with you more. I feel a “ mistake” is really a lesson the first time. It’s a different story if you keep making the same mistake over and over again. After I decreased the feed speed i.e. use the equipment correctly, I have had no issues with it. I absolutely love it. It’s a beast. I appreciate the sub. Thank you.
Just found your video. How’s the wood around the sink and around the tap holding up from all that moisture ? I’m considering doing the same thing and I was wondering.
Hello. So far so good. I used several layers of urethane when I was building the countertops. I wipe them down often. No issue with water around the sink at all. When I cut the hole for the sink, I applied more urethane right around the edge where I cut to add protection. I figure if I need to in the future I can always put a light sanding on it and add more urethane. But as of this time, I have not had to do that. I think you’ll be safe, just add lots of urethane or something to waterproof it. It should hold up just fine. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your build.
@@AllyneFamilyFarms thank you very much for your answer, I’ll deffinetly try 😊
Gonna be a fun project

Haha. Kinda looks like it.
Just making the rounds
Have to say hi to them all.
If your post were a few feet taller you could permanently attach your header and have a chain hang down in the center with a hook. Then you just back in hook the auger. Lower your 3 point then unhook the auger. When you hook up the auger having it swinging around on the chain makes it easier to manipulate and hook up
Not a bad idea. That probably make the whole process. Much much easier. Thank you.
The steel through the wood is a far superior solution. And it would be much easier to deal with.
Agreed!
omg how long to make a frame to struggle to still take it off bore it in the ground and make to legs is what we do on and off tractor in 2 min
I fear, long-term it would rust being in the ground. Has yours rusted?
I see that there is a hook on your auger. You could have made it higher and installed some chain system to pick it up and lower it. More mechanical, sure, but probably would have served more and not required as much work.
Yes, I’m sure the chain will allow it to swing a little bit while hooking it back up to the tractor and make that process easier as well.
We all knew that you could work it out
Thank you for the vote of confidence. :) I try.
Major kudos on admitting your mistake. You would make a terrible politician.
😇 thank you.
...u anyways, u got to do re work on ur fence...
