I am a beginner buddy. Eventually I'll get there. He's been playing this game for years. Besides the rammers make it impossible to get any position. It's like playing demolition derby.

Yeah I was lucky that rock gently stopped the momentum and stabilized the car. I just wish the game would do more damage than that to make it realistic. This stage is just 8.9 kms I believe. There are 32km stages that take legit 30-40 minutes real life time to complete.

They have UNITE-Online pack which you need to download and use. It works. However after volume 7 update the mod isn't working. They need to update it to be compatible. You will only get banned if you use speed hacks or other mods that give you an unfair advantage. UNITE is mostly visual with some tweaks to handling but it just feels the same physics wise.

Where are you from?

I haven't tried the Subaru 360. Which class is it? The Mustang SVT Cobra is pretty fast and agile for a Pony car. I'm not sure how it would do in an online race. I have limited control over the car because I'm on keyboard.

Oh I see. I drove the WRX STI which they give you for free in this game. It was pretty good and fast.

@@iktheone if the lotus ford cortina's in the game i'd definitely recommend that, type of car you can drive at 100% 75% of the time

Yes, the 2001 Subaru Impreza WRC. Wish they add the 2005 and 2007 versions to the game. They only have the 1998, 2001 and 2008 versions.

Haha there was absolutely no grip with the rain and it was very hard to control the McLaren with a keyboard. I will try to drive better next time. :D

Thanks for watching. The Opel Manta 400 is a nightmare to drive though. It took 2 hours to tune it to drive this much with a keyboard. It's much easier to drive an Audi Quattro S1 E2 through that stage and much faster than this RWD car. :D

Yes, game came out in 2016 and it still looks great. People didn't even give it a chance like they gave to EA Sports WRC. This game had very little issues compared to EA Sports WRC. It was well ahead of it's time. Loeb put in so much time and efforts into testing the cars and tracks. It actually feels very authentic and more like RBR than other games.

Exactly! The game has good graphics already. If they mod the physics, sound and add more cars and tracks then it will be huge. They need to tweak the performance a little as well. I think it's too late now unfortunately. I've seen "Leza Gaming" use some mods for this game. Check out his channel. Maybe he might be able to help you out.

I was using winter tires. The ice is too slippery. They need to adjust it.

I tried it on cars. For cars they would have much lower values like 400-500. So will have to adjust accordingly. But they had fixed the handling during patch 1.4 and broke it again in the next patch. I'll need to revisit the game and make another video I think since old settings are not working properly.

Yes they have improved the game a lot since launch. This car is built using the custom builder and livery editor by me. It's not a manufacturer car.

Oh how do you know that it is OBS I'm using? Yeah there are many audio settings in OBS. I feel it might also be the windows audio settings. I think I enabled something called enhanced audio or something.

Oh I see. I couldn't tell the difference between OBS and Radeon Adrenaline. I increased the audio quality from 160 to 320 kbps. Check my recent videos of Death Stranding and there is a Warzone firing range clip that says Testing OBS Audio quality. Can you please check and confirm if the audio is better?

🤣 yeah I like to land on the front wheels always but that jump is kinda tricky, if you go too fast or too slow you will end up like that. But yeah the Ford RS 200 looks like a buggy or the Tumbler Batmobile when the top shell comes off. 😃

Yes keep messing with it and find your sweet spot. Just keep a backup of the file.

It's definitely a game optimization issue but the only way to fix it is to have a powerful Intel CPU like the 14900K. What is your PC specs?

Please buy 14900K and 4090 if possible or 4080 but the 14900K is a must.

That's because I am playing on a keyboard :D It's either ON or OFF. So the animation works the same way. I wish they did it like Project Cars 3 even the way the virtual steering wheel moves in that game is amazing on a keyboard. It moves as if I was playing with a steering wheel setup.

Yeah rally clips don't need commentary I think. It's not Call of Duty :D

I think it has to do with grip levels changing too quickly and inconsistently. Dry tarmac is very hard to drive on especially with controller and keyboard. They really need to tweak the tarmac physics. Icy tarmac and wet tarmac are decent but not perfect. Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo does it the best.

Set shadows to High and MSAA to 16X. That will stablize it a little. Can you enable DLSS? I don't own NVIDIA card but maybe if you set the highest quality DLSS it will use more GPU? Another thing you can try is to run it at native 4K if possible or if you can use the NVIDIA upscaling feature and render it at 4K but run it at 1440p resolution. I am not sure what it's called. In AMD it is RSR (Radeon Super Resolution). It will render at 4K but fit it at 1440p resolution. It will be crisp, use more GPU but run like it's running 1440p. My GPU doesn't have the power to run it like that keeping fps above 100 but your 4090 should be able to. Please try it and let me know. This is a game engine optimization issue. Your hardware is good.

I thought that was a good thing? It's developed by part of Codemasters developers working for EA so they said the physics is a modified version of DR 2.0 implemented into Unreal Engine 4. I guess you like only RBR? 😃

It has nothing to do with dirt rally 2.0. I think the Unreal engine is much better than EGO for implementing car physics. How do you feel @iktheone?

Well UE4 might be better for implementing physics. But I liked DR 2.0 physics better and even the ego engine. It performs way better. I'm sure UE4 can be tweaked. Dakar Desert Rally also uses UE4 and it looks great and performs really well now after many updates. Their implementation of truck physics is amazing and very realistic. EA Sports WRC still needs some tweaks to the physics overall. Tarmac physics needs to be completely reworked. There's too much grip and you lose grip instantly causing the car to spin out doing simple turns.

It is brutal but in an accessible way. The car damage model is excellent and the driving physics are great. If only Milestone had put in some effort to fix the minor issues that people complained about then it would've been a huge success. To me it's great even in it's current state. This game has the best tarmac physics. Even the graphics are as good as EA Sports WRC and I feel they're better in certain aspects. Even on a keyboard it handles really well.

I agree. Not sure why the DR 2.0 engine couldn't be modified to include big tracks. The biggest issue with UE 4 is the stuttering and low fps. The blurry TAA makes it even worse.

Well what they could've done is to add many 15km stages instead in the DR 2.0 engine instead of the 31km stages that look very similar to each other. The minor variations are so small that you really cannot tell the difference. I'm not sure how long it would take to optimize this game but if you look at the Dakar Desert Rally clips on my channel, it runs way better using the same UE4. I'm not sure which exact version either are using but I'm using the same Engine.ini tweaks on both games and Dakar Desert Rally gives me 115-125 fps constantly with frame times of around 7-9 which is very playable. For EA Sports WRC I'm getting only 85-95 fps with frame times of 10-13 which is very laggy.

Lol yeah, I had to show what the problem was 🤣 but I've found settings that allow me to drive decently now. Take a look at my recent clips. I still crash sometimes 😃 I'm play on a keyboard so it's not going to be perfect.

Yes it's my favorite testing track. This and the Chile shakedown is where I do all my testing.

I kinda agree if it's playing with a wheel. But if it's on a keyboard I would say Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo and Dirt Rally 2.0 are great followed by WRC 10.

RBR is hard if you don't have a wheel setup. I tried playing it on a keyboard but can't seem to get the handling right. The original game gravel physics was good on keyboard but the tarmac was horrible. With the mods the car just doesn't stop. Maybe a tutorial would help. Even with the graphics mods, RBR looks dated.

What is cze?

Seems like the same snow pattern is applied to all regular gravel and tarmac stages. It doesn't handle any differently than wet gravel.
