You’ll have plenty of cooling in like 2 months 😂 You’ll be looking for some Cav Scouts to burn for warmth 🤦🏻♂️
😂🤣😂
With high temps & humidity today, you finished that job right on time!! 👍🏼
Yes an no, while doing this i seen my radiator leaking, so now out doing that
Check your heater-core too! You’ll be wanting that soon enough! 🤪😂

Could just hold 2 tire bars and learn how to take it off properly🤷♂️
@@rileyplamondon8095 maybe watch more vids an see i do change my own tires an do my own work on trk
I have a huge tool backpack full of tools and I use all of them more than I ever imagined I would.
Or, just get two proper tire bars and learn how to use them. Add a pair of vice grips and you could have completely swapped that tire in less time than it took to fuck around with that grinder. One wrong move, kickback, or broken disk with that grinder costs you a rim, too. Drivers who play mechanic piss off the real mechanics that have to follow behind them. Learn to do it right or leave it to the ones that know how to do it right.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣prob been turning wrenches longer than you, an if you putting vice grips on a rim, well dont be bragging you know what your doing, an yes i mount my own tires, im glad wanna bees think all trucks carry spares, or have a place to carry 1, so you an your vice grips keep bragging, but if you bothered to look, you would have seen this,
I've got 2 things. First it's not against the law to run just the one tire, but I'm also thinking that it is against the law to run a rim with no tire on it. My job is to change the tires not know the law, but I know lawfully I, as a licensed tire guy, can not allow a driver to roll with no tire on the rim. I must take you out of service until fixed, or remove the wheel entirely. The second thing, virgin tires these days are made using almost the exact same process as recapping a tire is done. The order of things is different and the final "assembly" of the tire may differ, but the tread on a virgin tire can peel off just the same as a recap can. The cap is almost never the cause of failure on its own. Getting you off the highway is the first priority though. I see no problem with this in that case. I can't do it, but if it's a risk you want to take, that's on you. DOT will probably be fine with it unloaded like this. Do what you gotta do.
Its not against the law, no worries, an im not saying people should do it an run coast to coast, i did it an went 50 miles an bought a tire,
I didnt specify in video, but i cut it off while i was out on a load, so i cut it off to finish load an get to where i could fix it properly
Clutch fan came apart an went into radiator
So , if you are pulling the fan to install the shroud , why not go ahead and pull the fan and do it the right way? Tru shade tree mechanic right here.
Where i was when it failed is why cut it off, now with shroud rebuilt we did pull fan an put it back together the right way
You had to cut the tire off 🤣
If would have had a 2nd bar i could pried off, but when whole cap dont come off an flaps, will do more damage trying drive it
@@bigjim11566 I used to carry a few bars tools air hose and air tools big impact a bottle jack and extra fluids when I was long hauling ❤️ and a spare tire
For what i run, just northern il an wi just dont see need to carry a spare, if was otr id feel diff
Yeah you can go to the tire shop.. whilst DOT spots you in the lot and writes you up 🤣.
Show me that law, you only need enough tire rating for load hauled, but feel free to show code saying its illegal, i'll wait, or does everyone who blows a tire an limps to shop get big fines, o wait they dont
I have many tools that I carry in a truck, and this one was never a part of my intentions until now! Thanks driver!
Used to use hacksaw, this so much quicker, an serves many uses
Listen Arthur I've got a plan ahh revolver
I get many saying i sound like him
All the best drivers carry a cutting tool, a prying tool, a hammer/mallet, thick gloves, duct tape
Is it true? Are you allowed to drive like that?
You still have to abide by weights an that, but ive never had any issue doing it, an theres no law in green book about it. If loaded heavy i would slow down an get fixed asap because puts lot of weight on a single tire
What causes semi truck tires to blow like that?
@@usertakenagain so many causes, air pressure, age of tire, casing damage, when bought trk it had all recaps, an no idea how many times it been capped, but with how hot its been lately you see more tires laying on roadway from blowouts, this is 3rd cap now ive lost, an putting virgin tires on vs caps
Having a small amount of tools is better than having no tools, but as a mechanic by trade, a grinder and pry bar are a great addition to the toolbox
My service trk i carry 2 of them just in case
@@bigjim11566 same here I carry two of every commonly used tools in my service truck
Shut up, nobody is laughing at you
The tool is paid for after the first fix!
@@Lakeman3211 how i look at it also
Why don't you carry a spare tire like everybody else
@@user-cj6ck2rr8y very few carry spares, once i buy my own trailer i plan to, but no where to carry 1 currently. The companies that do have spares, the driver usually still wait on service call to come out
I just watched a guy with a flat, at a station waiting to get fixed and he got a ticket anyway. Save yourself a buck, but not from the fine I guess.
If same video i saw, he was in line to get fixed an dot used it as an excuse to dot him to make sure he fixed it, didnt say if he got actual fine ticket or fix it ticket
Money stays in pocket
Thats the main thing
Hillbillies in trucks the worst drivers in the world
So you can still drive without that other tire? This is an honest question I know nothing about trucking
Yes you can, being empty im not exceding weight, now being a tire down, if was loaded it could get touchy with dot, but each tire has a weight limit, so long as dont excede limit of 7, but i only went 50 miles an got new tire put on
Hahaha 😂
Top notch seat right there. Nice!!

Ty
Nice, even load. Well done Sir....
Ty, many just stack them to use less straps, i feel this is safer
Why not just use the actual tire bars made for removing the tire? Tire changing tools used to be in all trucks.
I went with bar an grinder, because if i blow an inside tire i can still cut off an go down road without having to remove a rim an tire to get off, i do have a set of bars at home when i do my own tires, i put 4 back ones on myself, so when i swap other 3 on front drive i will just buy tires an take home to do
@@bigjim11566 Point taken, on the grinder. But I am more referring to using actual tire bars instead of a standard prybar. I just always found them to be easier to use than standard prybars.
@@lennychorn147 prybar can use for more on trk
@@bigjim11566 I carried both. More I think about it. I wish they had cordless grinders when I was still driving. Honestly, never thought about using one and running an extention cord from my inverter.
Real nice!! Heck yeah...
Hope to video soon some of them at the range
Smart!!!
This is how you save a 2-300 dollar on a callout fee
Yeah let DOT catch you driving like that it will be a 2000$ 3000$ fine for a few hundred bucks on a call
And what law is that, dont just say against law, say the law, i really wanna know, because ive had no issues to date, granted only been doing this 36yrs, so i dont know everything, and the day someone does is day they need to quit
But to be fair, since you well versed in laws, what cant you run a recap tire on, just a quik pop quiz
Thanks, 37 years, I carried a lot more than that. 🤔🫡
I have alot of tools on board
I’m paid by the hour and hope every day I have to have a road call
Diff case, depends who pays is what decides, my case i saved a huge call out fee
Sounds pretty intelligent to me
