Too Much Grime for Pressure Washing? | 1947 Cockshutt C30 Revival
On this episode we clean up some of tractor to make it a little less dirty to work with.
Please let me know what you think of the video/editing! I redid this video 5 times between 2 apps and 2 devices due to it failing to export. I feel like I rushed through it some but I’m happy with how the video AND tractor turned out. Thank you for watching!

I got this old tractor in a trade to hopefully tend to my yard and to keep this dinosaur working. In this video we get it to start, and we go from there. Thank you for your time! (Also as it would turn out, the tractor died at the end over the fuel petcock being a little plugged up, however it was solved with some air! We’ll definitely be cleaning this tank out again.)

But do remember 1950 Cockshutt 40 gas one had 230 Cubic Inches 6 cylinder motor 43 hp , 6 volt positive ground with Generator recharge battery , it had key ignition switch put after pull button and push button quit working! Motor was a Buta type in Cockshutt 40 I remember it was to pull choke all out , 1/4 on throttle , gas turn on tank to , then turn in start push choke in too till start up run smoothly on engine to! Great tractor Cockshutt and last long time too!

      I’m going to follow thru the series on the Cockshutt. The loader is a plus for what you want it for with the only downside is it hides the great styling of the tractor. Also I think that is an aftermarket power steering addition. Have fun with it!

    • @durh_m
      @durh_m 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @oldamericaniron5767 I’ll have to look into the accessories more, I don’t think it has power steering but if it does that’ll make it much easier to move! It’s heavy up front and the steering wheel lets you know from a standstill. Lol

    • @oldamericaniron5767
      @oldamericaniron5767 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@durh_m It looked to me that the unit on the steering shaft just below the steering wheel has hydraulic hoses going forward to hydraulic pump at front of engine. That would be the power steering. I’ve never seen a unit like that on a Cockschutt or Co-op. One aftermarket supplier of power steering I believe was Behlen. They are often seen on Farmall Ms. It would have been a good upgrade for a loader tractor.

    Very satisfying video and very well explained, I do have the same engine on my 08 Lexus gs350 with 109mi As soon as I got it I did replace my head cover gasket both sides and I changed spark plugs and ignition coils and water pump all with OEM parts, About a month Ago I got an engine light ON with VSC light and the code was p0301 & p0306 which is misfire in cylinder 1&6 my car was shaking very bad when I stop !! Not sure if that due to a gas quality I just filled from different gas station (shell) 91 or it’s fouled spark plugs or ignition coil don’t know exactly so I reset the code and the light didn’t come back but the shake still present !! Are you familiar what can cause this symptoms??

    • @infinitedavid1
      @infinitedavid1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, swap your Spark plugs and coils from the the misfiring cylinders to another, see if the problem persist. If the code changes from let’s say P0301 to P0302 then you know where the problem is coming from, but if it remains the exact same as before then your problem is from the injectors. I recently fixed my 2011 IS350 from multiple cylinder misfires and it works just fine after I changed my injector nozzles.

    • @durh_m
      @durh_m 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I apologize for the serious TH-cam break I took, if you’re still having the issue I would certainly check for vacuum leaks and possible throttle body issues. Idle is when you’ll experience the most shake on vacuum leaks but throttle issues can come in at any RPM due the computer either A) not knowing where the throttle actually is and throwing off the AFR, or B) not opening enough/too much on idle. I hope you got your issue resolved, if not I hope my comment helps!

Still have the old motor, sounded great just need a gasket rebuild which ill get to once i get my hands on the data/engine manual. Def love the video. You will also love the 2gr fse, such a fun engine. It is kinda loud(like the injectors and valve train) but dont let that scare you. As long as you take care of it and so those 3000 mile oil changes, you should b good. You should show all the mods you do. I kept it visual for now cus im still fixing up the suspension and im not rich lol. Spoiler, rain guards, 20 tint, muffler delete, and hella interior upgrades is what ive done to mine so far.
