With no way to access most of the tailings storage facility from shore, the surveyors at a large South American gold mine use the CEE-USV operated from a manned boat. The CEE-USV can safely access very shallow regions near the beach that the manned boat cannot reach.

Working with CEE HydroSystems and Dynautics, HYPACK has incorporated an advanced control interface for the CEE-USV™ into the latest release of their Hydrographic data acquisition software. The SPECTRE.dll allows a direct interface with the autopilot when running HYPACK SURVEY for a single-software package solution to robotic surveying.

The lidaretto compact LiDAR system is demonstrated on a CEE-USV hydrographic survey boat in Slovakia. The antenna platform makes a convenient and secure mounting point for the LiDAR. Dual antennas and the NovAtel SPAN IMU offers precise positioning of the LiDAR system. Also on board is a Leica GS16 RTK GNSS connected to the CEESCOPE-LITE echo sounder and telemetry unit via Bluetooth connectivity.

The unbelievably easy to use robotic navigation system available for the CEE-USV brings all of the autonomy control operations into the existing hydrographic software. Use the same Eye4Software Hydromagic package to set up robotic surveys and collect data on the shore over the single long range telemetry link.

At every location where the Trans Alaska oil pipeline crosses a river or stream, pipeline operators need to periodically conduct a bathymetric survey to determine that the depth of burial is being maintained. With remote locations, little or no access for a manned boat, and potentially high water velocities the CEE-USV™ is the ideal solution.

The CEE-USV™ is shown with basic low-profile radio telemetry option for shore communication for surveys up to about 300m range. Adding the high gain antennae and elevated wing platform increases range to about 900m. This video shows the vehicle surveying at typical slow-speed and medium/high-speed throttle settings.
