เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 พ.ย. 2022
This channel is devoted to repairs of virtually everything. I hope to be able to share the knowledge I've accumulated through the years, and most repairs/restorations are on items I haven't looked over thoroughly, so you learn as I do what's wrong, and how I hope to fix it. There will be mistakes. Things will go wrong... and I won't edit it out. You get to see how it really went, even when it goes south. I hope you'll join me as I delve into the deep mysteries of broken equipment, and attempt to make it less broken.
Garretson Impco KN Chinese Clone regulator for small engines: Disassembly and Explanation
Here we have a Chinese clone of a Garretson Impco Model KN demand regulator. I'll explain how it works, and disassemble it to show you how it works...if it works..this one was a disaster, and it was completely preventable. The factory epoxied the cover cap for the adjustment in place! What kind of moron does that? Clearly the factory wanted to sell expensive paperweights. I'll briefly explain your options if you get one like this.

Chinese ATV/Pit bike engine unboxing and detailed wiring harness explanation
มุมมอง 492 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I unbox my new Chinese ATV engine (allegedly at 125cc) and provide an explanation of how to hook up the wiring harness to get it running. This is the model that comes with 3 forward speeds and 1 speed reverse, and has electric start (no kick starter) but the wiring should be basically the same as any other Chinese Honda clone of it's type. #chinese #hondaclone #wiringharness #smal...

2002 Ford F150 4.2L V6 EGR Valve Replacement
มุมมอง 3672 หลายเดือนก่อน
My old Ford picked the least opportune time to fail. This time it's the EGR valve. This is just a short video showing just how easy this turned out to be. Part purchased from O'reilly Auto Parts for under $60, and this video represents the entire change, short as it is. #O'reilly's #O'reillyautoparts #egrvalve #2002fordf150 #egrvalvereplace
Yard sale haul! Not my typical finds, tons of CB radios?
มุมมอง 2.1K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Just a quick video showcasing the best of what I found hitting yard-sales during the "Rt 66 Yard Sale" event this last weekend. Most of the yard sales were actually flea market junk shrink wrapped from China, as usual..but there were a few good ones, including a pile of CB radios! You just don't see those as often as you used to. #yardsale #yardsales #yardsalefinds #yardsalehaul
Craftsman Push Mower: No air cleaner or cover since 2015!
มุมมอง 2013 หลายเดือนก่อน
A neighbor brought me this mower because it wouldn't run...just start and die. I almost spit out my coffee when I realized that it not only didn't have an air cleaner or air cleaner cover, but that it had *never* had either, since new. The level of schmoo in this mower was over the top. Let's see if it can be resurrected. #craftsmanmower #lawnmower #diy #mechanic #carburetor
Yard Sale Picked Husqvarna Part 3. The finale
มุมมอง 7383 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I fix the mower deck, make mistakes, and in the end, get 'er done. The valve cover gasket gets replaced as it leaks like the Pentagon, and the air cleaner gets reinstalled. Compared to some, this was an easy one. Next video I have something special in store for you folks. It's the thing under the tarp in my channel intro video, and in this video. You won't want to miss it. #husqv...
Yard Sale Picked Husqvarna Part 2: Lets get it running under it's own power and fix some tires.
มุมมอง 1.5K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
Continuing the repairs of the Yard Sale Husqvarna. In this episode, I try to get it to run with it's new Chinese carburetor, after draining the old gas out of the fuel tank, and solve the front tire situation. Then we drag the deck out from under it for more surprises. #carburetor #husqvarna #lawnmower #ridingmower #kohler
Yard Sale picked Husqvarna. Trash or Treasure Part 1
มุมมอง 7753 หลายเดือนก่อน
I picked this Husqvarna up at a yard sale. Owner said "it doesn't run very well". We tried it, and it didn't run at all. Lets see if we can fix it up and move it to a new home. #husqvarna #lawnmower #mechanic #ridingmower #carburetor #mowerdeck #mower #repair #doa #mowerrepair #mowermods
2006 Craftsman LT 2000 "rustoration". Lets make it mow again! Part 2
มุมมอง 7564 หลายเดือนก่อน
Something seems to have went afoul with the upload, and the first 5 minutes are overlapped..one video clip took precedence, but both audio tracks played. Unfortunately this killed the finish of the deck, and that footage is nowhere to be found now :(. I apologize for this, and I'm not positive what happened, if it was in the upload or in processing somehow, although it seemed fine before I uplo...
2006 Craftsman LT 2000 "rustoration". Lets make it mow again! Part 1
มุมมอง 2.2K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Part 1 of 2. Someone asked me to resurrect this old Craftsman LT 2000 riding mower. Several things needed fixed, and it was absolutely caked in old oil/dirt/grass. I apologize for the audio quality, my wireless microphone was of sub-optimal quality. A new one is on the way. I'm still working out how to best edit/shoot my videos, so please be patient with me, they will improve.
Redneck Repairs Channel Intro
มุมมอง 404 หลายเดือนก่อน
Intro video for the Redneck Repairs channel. I hope you'll come watch me fix things, as only a Redneck can. There's always a project, and always a bigger hammer to hit it with. Bear with me, I'm using a GoPro Hero10 to record with, and I'm fairly new to video editing..which means I don't do a lot of it..which means *this* is my first foray into this particular field. I'll do what I can with wha...
Perfect explanation 🥇
Thanks man, and funny commentary 😂
How about a video going over all of the tools necessary for basic mower repair. If someone were to have a problem what tools might they need for a repair.
@@aaronnichols7509 that's not a bad idea.
Yeah I started having problems with my EGR valve & was never replaced before I have the same Year model as URS friend of mine work's for O'Reilly's & got me the part which Ford motorcraft now the truck is working good
@@brandonramos1986 yeah it certainly made mine all better as well. Funny how such a little thing can foul it up...pun intended in my case, after I looked it over good I discovered that a chunk of carbon wasn't letting it fully closed..it was literally "fouled" up haha
Nice score.
The GE was a bit of a disappointment. Instead of the much more desirable PLL02A, it had the somewhat useless PLL03A PLL chip. I seem to vaguely recall something that could perhaps be done about that but I have to research it a bit further as it has been a good 20 years since I had an 03A cross my desk.
TRC is a classic
That President is some $$. Very cool
Say you knew about this issue and each time you fire it up you torqued up the bolts. Would this be a pretty good engine, or still junk?
@@jimsvo4486 you would only need to remove the front bolts which I point out somewhere in this series, spray the holes with brake cleaner, and blow out with air, and same with the bolts you removed. Once you're certain it's dry, use blue locktite on the bolts and torque down to spec. That *should* permanently stop it, and I believe the latest ones have the case bolts locktite treated
@@redneckrepairs7628 So, pretty good engine other than those bolts.
Good job on mower today. I liked you telling about where you get some of your tools. Perhaps more of that sometime. You might also let someone who just wants to start fixing his mower what tools to get Not a criticism, I realize this was a low, no budget repair. Could you not find or modify an air cleaner to keep some of the dirt out of the carburetor?
I actually ordered her an air cleaner element and cover on eBay for about 10 dollars for both, but alas, it's a week away. Today's mission was just to get it running. The cover and filter are so easy to put on, I didn't think it warranted a week wait for 30 seconds of video to install it. I am going to do a video on how to get started flipping mowers, what to buy, and what *not* to buy, tools you must have, tools that'd be nice to have, etc in the near future however.
@redneckrepairs7628 Good Deal! Take nothing I say as a criticism. All to many do that. I try to help. People have several theories on tools. It all depends on how much you them. Now that I'm retired, it's mostly lower priced tools. Have you heard this one ? Buy cheap if it breaks buy better. I like the flipping mower idea.
@@johnmckee7937 I knew just as soon as I posted it that there was a chance folks would think I left it at that. I was primarily trying to show how to get it running, but i definitely should have at least mentioned I ordered the parts. Thankfully I didn't have to talk too hard to get her to spend that extra $10.
I need to get a tire mount like that for when i need to replace the complete tire. For now i just push the bead back while tire is still on tractor, lube it and pull the old out and slide the new innertube in and Im done. Great series of videos!!!!
I'm enjoying your channel. I hope to see more in the future
I like the preventive maintenance, fuel filter, fuel shut off, air cleaner, oil change. Also, explaining why this is so important to the engine.
New subscriber I like the description of the engine possible issues before work started. Also, like tool description used and possible where people might have trouble. Suggestion, show where model and sn are on engine. Maybe do a segment on how to order parts.
That's actually a great idea! I'll try to incorporate that into the next video where it'd be applicable
@redneckrepairs7628 there are a help channels for guys who know where to start repairing mowers. You could set yourself out from the rest . How to take something apart and get it back together ! Another segment
I just happened upon your channel.. I have only watched episode 3, will watch more. I love the detail you go into. Example spindles change and improve new spindle. Example removal of OHV gasket and install. Now some will see as too much. Too long, you will have to decide. Personally I just replaced my first carburetor in my old JD rider.
I know I'll catch some flak from some that I don't go with OEM parts...but on something like a John Deere, you're looking at $175-$250 for an "OEM" carb. The Chinese can make one for around $30-$50, and 99 times out of 100, it works fine. I've also noticed that many they don't sell a kit for, they expect you to order every gasket, every needle and seat and float individually..and the cost adds up fast. Thank you for watching, and for your comments!
@redneckrepairs7628 mine was 35 years old! No rebuild kit, even if I could do it. Chinese carburetor was 25 dollars and is working fine. I understand, small business and profit margin.
I would say the lawn mower was bought at Lowe's because the deck is painted black. If it had been purchased from a Husqvarna dealer the deck would be orange and it would have grease fittings on top of the spindles. Sometimes Lowe's buys after-market merchandise to save money
That's very possible, although it does not have the typical Lowes sticker on the back. Could even be Wal-Mart. They often sell second class versions of a product that had to meet their price-point.
Wouldn't it be beneficial to drain oil and gasoline in the great outdoors and avoid the mess? But, it's your building.
@@bobberguy1 I'm afraid that wouldn't fly very well. Especially on TH-cam. The environment, and thus the environmentalists, might get sad.
@@redneckrepairs7628 If it comes down to me accidentally spilling oil on the ground or environmentalists being sad, it won't be me that is sad.
Shouldn’t have taken so much acid back in the day I guess.
It would appear that the first 5 minutes of this video are plagued by 5 minutes of footage missing (just swapping blades on the deck) but somehow the audio is *not* missing, so you get a two-for..both audio tracks playing at once for the first 5 minutes! I'm not sure what happened there, but I apologize. If this gives you as big of a headache as it does me, fast forward 5 minutes and it should straighten out.
