We don’t treat Christ’s existence differently. Jesus may or may not have lived just the same as other historical figures. The difference is people claim that Jesus performed supernatural miracles and rose from the dead. That’s where the story gets dodgy. I can say George Washington lived because the historical documents and eye witness testimonies line up. I can also say he was the first president of the US for the same reasons. But if I said George Washington lifted a mountain above his head in front of 1000 people, the same level of evidence is no longer sufficient. Once you introduce the supernatural, we have to be extremely skeptical. Especially before we start making decisions about how we live around those supernatural claims.

Why aren’t you Catholic?

Im amazed at how Catholics ( I'm Catholic myself) get hung up on ONLY praying to God, or Jesus, but not Mary, or other saints- see other comments. People commenting on this string get nasty with each other, believing that they, and they alone, have the right answer. Very un- christian-like. It saddens me. It becomes comical! Press like if you agree.
