    I've always believed that in a heterosexual relationship men love more than women.

    • @justinbennett8568
      @justinbennett8568 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Soralella71 I disagree. Men tend to be more cold and logical. Where as women are generally more emotional and caring. However this isn't always true.

      It's men that suffer more on breakups. May seem rational and solutionary when it happens but usually end up suffering longer than women.

    • @kimmolaine8069
      @kimmolaine8069 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose it depends how serious and long the relationship has been.

    • @BlackMetalSchecter
      @BlackMetalSchecter 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kimmo Laine When it comes to emotional outlets, women have many. They may express their emotional distress with a mother, sister, friend, etc. Men on the other hand usually have one outlet for this kind of thing(their mate). Most men will not discuss emotion with friends, fathers, brothers, etc. When their one trusted emotional outlet is cut off(a break up, death) it is certainly more difficult on the male's end, hence why most suicides post divorce/break up are men(assuming the man was actually emotionally invested). Over many years we have read poems, heard songs, read novels, paintings, etc. by men who lost their loved one. Men tend to be more prone to loneliness, this is a fact(over the years it gave us amazing art forms). Like the man in the other comment said "It's about a man who loves a female pianist. She died in the distant past ('The keys are dusty/The strings are out of tune.'...'That was so long ago'), and the man was clearly driven insane by grief." Imo, women are hardwired to be more careless, cold, self serving, etc. The idea that men are the "cold jerks" is a myth touted by women with the princess sickness.

    It's about a man who loves a female pianist. She died in the distant past ("The keys are dusty/The strings are out of tune."..."That was so long ago"), and the man was clearly driven insane by grief. A while later, in a moment of sheer madness, he decides to dig up her dead body ("I am deathly ill from sorrow and _the stench_"...of her rotting corpse?) and place it at her old piano to re-live better days. But his efforts fail to alleviate his misery, since "she doesn't play anymore". Her parents burst into the room, perhaps after discovering her grave has been robbed, and are horrified by the sight of their dead and rotting daughter sitting at her old piano with this man ("oh how they scream"). A song that is simultaneously beautiful and disgusting. A fucking tragic masterpiece.

    • @elijah3561
      @elijah3561 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      cory stereo Close, but that's not quite what it's about. It's about a man who loves the way his girlfriend plays the piano so much that he locks her in his attic. Then her parents get the police and force him to open the door, and they see their beautiful daughter dead and tied to the piano.

    • @emiljensen3024
      @emiljensen3024 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Elijah Klassen I agree with Frank Birkner about the piano being a metaphor for a cheating girlfriend. He turns angry as hell and kills her, ties her to the piano (here physically) and so forth (as you suggest).However, should the interpretation go deeper? What if everything's meant as metaphors - Their relationship was once great and filled with love and fascination. Something then happens (unfaithfullness or simply the fascination goes away), and anger replaces love. He remembers the good things in the past (i.e. the metaphor "when she played"), but his pure memory is clouded by the present decay of their relationship (dass ich todkrank von kummer und gestank). The parents taking her away may be a metaphor for the actual break-up, where removing her "decaying body" from the piano by force symbolizes the end of the relationship that has been destroying them both. The piano symbolizes their love for each other, but may have several meanings. What do you think guys ?..

      Well one thing we should all be able to agree on is that a majority of Rammstein songs are quite morbid no matter what way you look at them.
