Hey girl! Great video! I just subscribed 🥰✨ your story is so relatable to me. Can you do a transparent video. What monetary possibilities you had lined up when quitting your job and how do you make money now? 🙏🏽 ❤
I agree I’m in Plano now which is 30 mins from Dallas and I love Austin outdoor activities scene, I visited once and the summers are going to be amazing, so many swimming and sports and parks and ppl love being outside
Moving this summer😁😁
I'm late to your videos but love your style and personality from these videos. Best of luck in your journey
This is so scary to me …. But I’m so fucking miserable and drained mentally.
Lived in Dallas my whole life born and raised. In bishop arts be cared ghe further you go down certain streets the areas arent as nice. Just a saftey precaution. Its still in oak cliff. Always be vigilant. Bishop arts has its fancy places and wild bars but overall very nice.
Im from Philly and moved to ATX and your call out about the cat calling is on point
Philly ❤❤❤ I’m thinking about moving also! Congratulations!
im super late to this but im thinking of trying this routine lol do you have a certain haircut that helps you with volume or is that just the natural way your hair grows?
Austin does feel kind of “uppity” tbh. Also Austin natural lakes is not really accessible, it’s mostly private property. I haven’t found too many parks that I like tbh. And in the summer you can’t do any of it bc its so hot. I tried in the summer and I got nauseous. But I do come from another state that has beautiful nature, amazing parks, and lots of hiking and mountains that are all accessible to the public. Im sure if someone came from a place like Ohio they might like it. But yes the sedentary thing is real, I think its bc there is not very good public transportation. I struggle with that in Austin too. I probably wouldn’t like living in Dallas but im curious about visiting. Im trying to see what city to live in Next.
Thank you
It’s amazing how our bodies let us know it’s time.
I'm moving to austin in february, and feeling super excited/nervous! thank you for posting this 💗
Does Dallas have anywhere that you live where you're overlooking a body of water? House, condo, or apartments? Chicago overlooks lake Michigan and downtown is beautiful. Is there anything like that?
Warning: If you do not drive, and you do not have a car, then do NOT move to Austin. This is not a good place for those who need to rely on public transit, to get to work, on time, for example. The Public transit here is horrible. Buses constantly being delayed, or breaking down. I have only been here for a few months, and I already really do not like it. Also, there are a lot of homeless, and very mentally ill people here. They are literally everywhere. It really is like a great big open air psych ward. Pros: Most people here (who are not just completely nuts / out of their minds) are very nice, and friendly. I never ran across so many friendly people in my life. I roll my mother around in a wheel chair, and they are always offering to hold a door open for us, and the people are just so friendly. The homeless and mentally ill is a really big problem though. Don't move here unless you can afford to live in a nice part of town, like the West Side for example. People on Reddit have argued with me about this (saying that I am wrong), but there are a lot of abandoned / run down buildings all over the city (probably not over on the West Side though). Seems that when a business, home, or apartment complex closes, and nobody wants it, then they just leave it, and it just becomes an eye sore, with ever growing Graffiti being put all over it. I really do not like all of the Graffiti. It is not Art. It is Vandalism, in my opinion. Anyways, Austin has a lot of natural beauty, lots of parks, and nature trails (though you will probably find homeless camps within those wooded areas). Something really needs to be done about all of the homeless and mentally ill people here. It is really bad. You have to be without a car, and riding public transit, to understand me about this. Or, out walking downtown, or other areas. Anyways, that is all I can think to add. Oh, one other thing. I have never seen so many beautiful girls in my entire life, lol. The girls here are stunning. I am not one to stare either. Just an observation.
This was helpful. Thank you. I live in northeast side of indiananpolis and that’s my experience in trying to get away from. I NEED a homogenous friend group.
you’re heaven-sent 🙏🏾💯
Hi. I somehow came across your video and while I was born and raised in Austin, I moved to Philly for about 15 yrs and came back to Austin in 2019. Yeah my circle is like the size of a cheerio. I say I’m from Philly. Ha! Have to go to pflugerville and round rock. that’s where the black folks are and black business owners at that! They don’t come to Austin either to party. Would love to chat exchange some experiences.
As a life time Texan I agree Dallas sucks. Dallas people like to think they are the best city in Texas but everyone secretly hates them.
Great video! Totally resonate and relate to your experience
Would you say Dallas is better than Fort Worth? I’m trying to see which of the two to move
Dallas is WAY better than fortworth. I live here and love this city what do you want to know?
Great channel
Detrimental consequences is right

i'm considering moving in march from NYC to austin -- my job should let me move just fine, so no worries there, but i am a bit concerned about mostly being surrounded with white people. i'm originally from canada, so i grew up mainly around white people and that was uncomfortable in just the little day-to-day things. one thing i've really loved and been caught off guard by since moving to new york was finding myself in spaces where i was celebrated without me having to fight at all. would you say that these spaces exist in austin? are they few and far between? i feel as though the average american is a lot more direct than the average canadian so that probably solves a lot of issues for me upfront
I accidently clicked on this video and I really love this video because I am currently looking for a new environment to move and you just confirmed it
I relocated to Texas 5 years the DFW and don’t like it here. Thinking about giving Austin a try before leaving Texas.
I'm moving in the new year! I cant wait. im binging all your Austin videos now
Twin!!!
i live in Austin, if extreme heat in summer is not going to be a problem for you, come on over
Thank you! Video gave in a insight need to visit Austin one more time before i pull the plug and move.
Tu parles un peu comme les Québécois. Tu dis « genre » et parfois tu utilises « la » à la fin des mots.
People in Dallas and Houston in mostly use Underground walkways. How to access Dallas Underground tunnels?Major entrances at Thanks-Giving Square, Renaissance Tower, One Main Place and Bank of America Plaza. The system connects buildings, garages and parks through tunnels and above-ground skybridges. The network contains an underground city of shops, restaurants and offices during weekday business hours.
❤❤❤I was in Dallas for the past five years and I just moved to Austin this year! My experience is slightly different from yours
do you run into alot of christians there?
You just confirmed my moving to Austin thank you 🙏🏾 ☀️🌹
You paid too much. Mexican places have the exact same types and they're cheaper. Cavenders actually buys from Mexico to sell over here. Sorry......... Youre really fuckin cute though. Very intriguing
I binge watch your work, breath of fresh air.
Dallas is a cluster of suburbs, it doesn't feel like a city. You won't get that city vibe like you would in Chicago, NYC, or Philly. It is a rather boring city to be honest. Deep Vellum is super unsafe. Bishop Arts is not safe. You have districts which means, it is a couple of streets. It feels more like a strip mall instead of an area. That is Dallas it is not a city you have to drive a long way to get to these areas. It feels disconnected and it is pretty boring. Did I mention it is HOT! Very HOT!!!!
So mami is Dallas Texas RACIST????????
How are u gonna get married or have a long term relationship IF YOU'RE NOT FULLY INVESTED IN THE PROCESS?????????????
There's no way to compare Dallas to Philly which is one of the most urban, dense, compact, walkable cities in the country. Dallas is more comparable to Charlotte, NC.
I live in jersey I’m thinking of moving to Philly Dallas or Atlanta which one should I move to
Just go ahead and scratch Atlanta off your list. Trust me.
@@Hello_Haven why you say no to atl
I was gonna say definitely not Atlanta too 💀
In atl: robbery, traffic and horrendously bad driving, fast paced living, high cost of living…
@@fearfullyfaithful it’s definitely it high cost of living but traffic is a concern
Where are you going next I been following you for a while
Ton français est parfait ne t’inquiètes pas et ton accent aussi on te comprend très très bien
So I’m going to Dallas next wed what neighborhood could I spend a couple of hours walking around
I love quietness and hate people lol. This is perfect for me😂
I’m looking for a place to move for my masters program and I’ve been wanting to be closer to some of my friends in the dmv, Texas, etc. I’ve also been considering Dallas too. I’m pretty introverted but also like the option of a fun city scene. So this was really nice to hear
DMV no way, don't go. The food is disgusting, traffic is bad, the people are weird and clickish, dating scene is terrible, but jobs are plentiful
Why california people are still moving here in texas ??
why does a place have to be more black? what about all the places that are already very black? nobody wants to be there.
I grew up in Austin in the 90s and early 2000’s. It has always been a majority white hippie , liberal town. The diversity was definitely greater then. They gentrified the shit out of the city. It got so expensive for normal people to live there. We used to joke around and say the slogan isn’t Keep Austin Weird, it Keep Austin White. South Congress was super Ghetto back in the day.
It's so weird you feel the need to even make a video like this
Weird? You spelled American wrong.
