Hey, thanks for taking the time to share that repair. That’s a great solution! I chased mine until I finally cut it out and put in half-inch pex with holes drilled around the ring. I found that wasn’t quite right. It didn’t bubble quite the same way as it originally did, so I took that flat pool drain hose and wrapped that around pex, putting holes all around it as well. That did the trick. I also made sure to leave enough of the original material coming into the hot tub to attach the new system. If your repair is still giving you trouble, there’s a very good chance you’ll be right around where I am now if you still have that one. What grit sandpaper was it?

Hi Daniel, realise the vid is intended for rental customers but its also the first that appears when i searched youtube for maintenence questions. Was hoping you wouldnt mind help with a question i have. Nowhere seems to state what actually happens when you turn the hot tub off/standby. - should i leave it to auto lock and maybe lower the temp slightly? - or just turn the thing off and let the lid/thermal cover do its thing? - lots of places seem to suggest having the filtration going as much as 8 hrs a day! Or 4 hrs in every 12 cycle. Does a lazy spa keep on top of this in a standby type mode? Or is it a manual maintenance. - when off or in standby (if it even has this) does it maintain close to set temp? - seems alot of hassle is this stuff just nice to recommend only. Sorry for the bunch of questions, just cant seem to find any explanation anywhere as a new owner.

Hi we have the same tear and I've tried to sort with gorilla tape before seeing this video. Gorilla not resolved it. Is your repair still holding?

Good fix! I've used something similar but put a strip of bicycle inner tube over the top to reinforce the repair! Yes there's a black strip in the tub but yes the patch is holding 18 months later!

How often do you put the chlorine a d ph powder in the tub
