Drips of water coming from the loft hatch needed investigating. The freezing "Beast From The East" / Storm Emma was raging outside so perhaps we had a frozen pipe or water leak. Opening the loft hatch revealed the cause of the drips - the attic was full of snow ... and I was about to get a face full .. All the negative comments. What exactly were these people doing so wrong to get such spite?
The word ‘arseholes’ comes to mind ?
I've never seen a whale. I've ALWAYS properly yearned for the sea. Now if all continues to go to plan, my house will be less than a mile from this very spot. I plan to let the last of my trauma go and to hopefully become an old happy man...... 🙏
Lol

Who was on the ferry and told to see this
Why did Brunel build a railway in such a stupid location?
Much of the interior of Cornwall was virtually impassible until the late 19th Century. The gentry would travel by coastal paddle boat from London to their vacation houses in Devon and Cornwall. The Cornish inland routes were primarily for pack horses, which is why the roads are still narrow and sunken to this day. The expense of an inland route could not be justified as the primary function of the GWR was part of the world's first integrated transport system that took European migrants, arriving on the East Coast ports of England, to Bristol and thence by steamship to the East Coast of the USA. Everything beyond Bristol had much less economic significance.
That's a Weta, not a Locust. Locusts are winged creatures, and the females don't have such long ovipositors like that.
Thanks for the info ! I will update the description .
Hiya, this exact same thing happened to me when the Beast from the East hit us... it also happened to a work colleague and a customer that comes to my place of work. Have you come up with any solutions? As I'm scratching my head as to what to do.
Now its all thawed I checked the tiles and there are small gaps where it blew in. A solution is to line the loft with hardboard etc and make sure all gaps are sealed - Good luck next winter !
What idiots put thumbs down to this??? It's awesome
A Japanese person?
There will always be a 🛎end, wherever you are.
He didn't look very concerned
No, to be fair he didnt, but I think the van would have been trashed if it was left there.
If it's any interest i saw that tornado on Tuesday, just before it formed. I was driving from Brixham to Paignton about teatime on Tuesday on my gritting round, just before that first brisk snow shower that came in and lightly covered the roofs of the houses. When I first saw it i thought, bloody hell that looks like a funnel cloud, getting longer, but I managed to convince myself it was actually two light coloured, round balls of cloud with a dark cloud behind creating the funnel shape instead
Wow I wish I had seen that !
