i used to limited my clothing to 20 hangers… ( exception undergarments) then I switched over to only keeping items i wore more than 1 time of 6 months. now i try to pass on what isn’t serving me no rules just use what i have.

Because of the different fabrics that they use for each Jean type you really have to adhere to the size chart AND pay attention to how much stretch there will be when deciding on what size to buy. I have 4 pair and each pair fits me perfectly. Or maybe try their newer “ALWAYS FIT” technology which is my favorite 😊

I wear & love what I have! A few items don't really work so they're getting the boot. I love jewelry as well & have a ton! I wear the colors that work and I don't buy anything unless it works with more than one thing. I'd like a versatile skirt suit, some cowboy boots and a moto jacket. These would fit my esthetic.

I have 7 dresses 7 tee shirts 7 bottoms for summer In winter I wear cardigans on top of the dresses and wear thermal tights and boots. I put jumpers on top of tees in winter . These clothes don’t need replacing all at once . I have my boots sandals and trainers and a nice pair of of Mary Jane’s

You can extend the usable life of those shoes by having the exaggerated chain detail removed. This will make them much less trend driven and look more like a classic loafer. Have it professionally done- the cobbler will make it look as though this was how they were all along.

I hear the laundry thing come up a lot, but isn’t that the point? You want to wear your clothes so much that they wear out. Maybe it’s just the mentality of it that’s hard for people. If you have 50 items that wear out in 6 years vs 25 that wear out in 3, we feel like we got more use out of the 50 only because it lasted “longer.” However, as women, many of us have changing bodies and tastes and needs anyway. So if we have a wardrobe of 35-40 things that we wear continually for a couple to few years then they wear out, that’s better than have way more things then having to donate bags full because we didn’t wear them out before we no longer needed them.

If I were you, I would’ve kept that coat and bought it an inexpensive scarf that looks beautiful against your skin and I would not be worried about getting it dirty. I mean, don’t you have a dry cleaner where you live that you can drop it off once or twice a year? then you could wear that beautiful cashmere Burberry scarf with literally anything. That Burberry scarf is going to be much too much of a scarf, size, wise, thickness, wise for most any trenchcoat it would definitely be better for a winter coat. Because since it’s cashmere and thick and heavy, it’s really not gonna be great for the rain. Kind regards❤

As a buyer I have soooo many issues with Vestiaire Collective. Their customer care service is horrible, they intentionally delay so that you miss your 72hr period to report and issue and when you do manage to report it by some miracle, they refuse a refund because they insist you re-list it. I received a item with a missing piece which was not indicated in the description and their expert reviewers also never mentioned it in their Quality Assurance. They support their refusal for a refund because under the product listing someone had asked the seller about the product and they mentioned that indeed one of the pieces was missing. But this is not transparent, as missing pieces should be mentioned clearly in the description and shown in the photos. Now I am stuck with an item I can not use, I paid a lot for and they are making me re-list it on my profile. I refuse to list something faulty/damaged/missing pieces.

What I bought is real. I can tell.

The same thing is happening in these off price stores that happened with the outlet malls...it's a "craze" to shop there and way too many were built for the actual amount of goods that needed to be sold. So now they have to manufacture the goods to fill the empty stores. I've pretty much sworn off shopping at off price stores altogether. It's not a "bargain" at all.

Their customer service is bad. I received a bad with snags in the vinyl and irregular crooked stitch on the handles. I took the tag off and I now have to take it back to the store. They better make it right since I spent 2000 on this bag. Ridiculous awful quality

You are preaching to the choir trying to replace clothes with good quality items that will last. You can spend a fortune and still end up with crap. One grease or ketchup spot or blood stain and its goodbye piece of clothing.

You mentioned about having to replace clothes every year as impractical . But surely a lot of people are constantly buying clothing that doesn't get worn. I think a ten item wardrobe makes you more mindful of what you buy. To me buying more clothes less often was more expensive then a few new pieces each year as I could reflect my current tastes and stage of life and actually wear the clothing.

Northstorms Rack is 2nds or even 3rds Tjmaxx is not. I love Tjmaxx. Often Macy's has the exact same name brand items as Tj at the same time. Never trust Northstorm rack it has been my experience that the items color is even off from the original

The most well thought out capsule wardrobes are just a guideline...not a blueprint. I agree, not everyone wears 9 shoes and/or 2 jackets...so those items can easily be swapped out for your most worn, go-to stand ins that you feel like " the best you" in.

They have repair Chanel's Louis Vuitton suitcases etc . Know Tony for over 25 years . They are the besttttttttttt!!!

I absolutely love Vivaia shoes. I have 11 pairs! ;-) With the heels you often have ti size up, half a size or even a full size up. For the Aria 5.0 I would also recommend sizing up half a size. Then they're perfect.

I only have one Gucci bag and tbh I don't think their quality based on that deserves the price. You're paying for a name. I think the quality of Coach is way better than a lot of designers and have been very happy with theirs, and they have many afforable ones at the outlet store. I love my Gucci bag for the print, but because of what it's worth, I feel much more scared to use it lol. A Gucci bag is worth like 17x a Coach or MK bag, but the quality doesn't really seem much different.
