You have a lot of traction that's why you can't drift with the drift tyres. You should try to a much more slippery surface.

How long does the battery last with one charge of the car?
About 30 minutes, according to the manufacturer. I haven't timed it to confirm👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾

Maybe try rebinding the Tx & Rx. Also, make sure your servo wire is properly connected. One last thing, turn your TX on first before the car. Sometimes, if you do the other way that will happen👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾

I bought one of those recently, wanted a small scale rally car. I'll never buy another maverick again, it is garbage and that's where I put mine.

Why use disposable batteries? Rechargeables are better in the long run for both your pocket and comfort anyway.

@@knogface well... Then Mini Z or older Sinohobby Mini Q (kinda like a knockoff Mini Z... Cheaper but has some small flaws) is probably your only choice these days. Highly dense rechargable batteries to power the cars specifically are the norm nowadays because performance is better too, and you don't make as much waste aside of the cost and comfort reasons I mentioned.

The springs inside the clutch are too heavy, it's making it engage at way too high rpm. Softer/weaker springs will let it engage at a lower rpm giving it a better low end movement.
