Thank you very much for your kind words! <3 I must say I had(/have) the highest expectations for this show after WandaVision, and for now it delivers! Can't wait to see more “active” magic though... But I hope it won't be on the “TOO MUCH” scale and will stay kinda eerie and abstract for the most part. I love Dr. Strange's skills but I feel like the witches magic must stay more subtle and mysterious (at least visually), to not say “elevated” (#imasnob)

@ It’s definitely emotional, but ultimately uplifting. I can’t recommend the show enough. It helped heal some of my trauma from my early gay days. 😂 I’ve watched it more times than I care to admit.

@@demsael I'm not sure I understand.. They're a weird frog-people that live underwater secluded from the rest of the life of their planet (although they do speak the same language so I presume they co-existed at some point) so they've logically developed a different accent and their languages have started going to slightly different directions, right? Only natural. It's a miracle to me they even speak the same language. And don't forget Jar Jar is one of the dumbest of the Gungans as a whole, and that is made clear in The Phantom Menace. Do you also think Master Yoda, or rather his character design, is racist because he speaks backwards? Or did I completely misunderstand you?

I mean that when they created the character, they put stereotypical stuff on him that resonate with the black community in a bad way. Same for Anakin's slave-master and the jewish community, or with the Trade Federation leaders and japanese people... I really love the universe George Lucas created but some choices are shady at best, completely innapropriate at worse. But your analysis is 100% correct. The in-lore reason their accent is so strong is because it's not the Gungans first language, but a learned one.

@@demsael well sure, everything in Star Wars has their real life counter-parts, like The Republic/Empire and America. Personally, I don't see anything racist about it not only because drawing parallels to real life seems entirely natural to me, but also because people really weren't even really aware of these things being possibly offensive because getting offended over these things wasn't really even invented back then. Stereotypes can sometimes be incredibly overblown and simplified, but they do always have a basis in reality, I find. But you seem to be more immersed in jewish, black and Japanese cultures than me so I suppose I can't really say much more about this subject, since these cultural things and such don't really interest or concern me at all. You may be right that they have parallels, but I don't think there was any ill intention behind that. Just a much smaller world back then, and a vastly different one too. :)

I like the fact that although there is basically no risk for a important character to die, Star Wars really like to mutilate its protagonists, so the stress level stays high in all circomstances! I was so scared she was going to lose her leg or something like that...

So she's THAT powerful while being esssentially self-taught? Damn… But that explain the interaction she had in my last video (free on ko-fi) with Luminara when she tells Ventress her fighting style is similar to Dooku's but «unrefined». Studying alone for so long made her abilities more trivialistic, less conventional. That's her biggest strength AND weakness.

I agree with you SO MUCH. As I said in a Twitch stream a few months ago: the Jedi in the prequel era SUCK so bad! With the last videos we can see that individuals like Plo Koon, Yoda and Anakin think each clone matter, and yet not one of them see the problem of creating and using the clones in the first place… It's such a strong evidence of cognitive dissonance. Also the racism part is so true because Jango Fett's actor is maori, and he is the only one (I think) in the entire Star Wars Universe, which emphasise the inferiority/superiority link between his character+the clones and the rest of the Republic. Especially when beside in the Phantom Menace, there are not strong examples of open racism in the Universe. That's why I love Dooku and Qui-Gon as Grey Jedi (and then sith for Dooku): Qui-Gon would've HATED the idea of the clones, and not knowing that Dooku created them, it would've been such a strong argument for him going to the dark side (ish, or leaving the Order with Anakin to create his own). And Dooku creating the army himself is such an interesting point in his vision of “The Jedi are flawed, I'm going to the dark side for the greater good of the galaxy” and then being consumed by power and ambition. When you look at it, Dooku is exactly what Dumbledore is in HP, but Dumbledore is praised when he should be seen as evil as Dooku. But I digress. Thanks for the Legends lore! Although I consider myself having quite a good knowledge of the Star Wars Universe, I lack a lot Legends perspective. I always welcome it with great pleasure! I don't mind being spoiled on this: do we see more strong weapons like the Malevolence in the rest of the series (I don't need details)? Because we've barely begun the first season and we start with such a strong one, I wonder what we'll see in the future!

Basically, and I'm sure it's on purpose, the Jedi Order before Luke's training and Anakin's redemption is such a strong critique of the american imperialism under the cover of “but we're a democracy, of course we're the good guys!” While the Empire is exactly what the USA are in reality. Both regime is part of the same coin, and Palpatine being the leader of both is the best indication of that. And with what's happening in Africa and the Middle-East for decades, the Rebellion can only be the global South rising against the US Empire (South Africa vs Israel at the ICJ for example, or Nicaragua vs Germany last week). Or just the people rising against western governments by supporting Palestine. Star Wars films may be “meh” sometimes, but Star Wars as a whole is just DOPE AF!

@@demsael Will we see more weapons like Malevolence? Logically, the answer is yes, as it is a war, and both sides are arming themselves. I don't want to add more because that would be spoilers. Certainly, we won't see Devastation. As for the Jedi, you summarized it perfectly. I would add that if the Jedi had helped the clones instead of leading them into battle, they could have potentially even saved the Order that way. The same goes for young Boba. If the Jedi had taken care of him after the loss of his father, Boba could have provided them with crucial knowledge about the clones and the Kaminoans. This is the greatest irony.

Starkiller needs to be made canon. I don't know if he'd fit the canon timeline, but I love this character so much! And Sam Witwer is the Star Wars GOAT as an actor!

It makes me a bit bitter, but I'm also glad to have watched this series just for Grevious. It's been a while since my heart was racing that bad for an animation content!

It's such a shame indeed! I was shivering the entire time, when I'm just bored when I watch Revenge of the Sith. I hope that despite the coughing he's still a bit of a menace, at least as a military person, in the clone wars 2008 series… But I don't have much hope tbh

SPOILER FOR 03 PART 2 at least in ROTS it makes some sense as he has just been crippled, and he doesn't have the eleminate of suprise, which we see in 03 is vital to his strategy via dooku's teachings. the problem is that 08 wanted to take that part and flanderize it into a twirling mustache villain, which makes no sense why he would still be a general after so many losses

I didn't understand the 03 and 08 (number of episodes? I watched it as a whole film so I don't have de markers in mind) but I agree 100%. I'll see further down the line is the series (I just watch the Malevolent arc), but I hope he won't lose everytime…

Very interesting, although I disagree with some of the arguments. I still think Dooku's intentions aren't selfish but aimed to his vision of the greater good, even though he's wrong. If he was 100% evil, he couldn't have raised a noble grey jedi like Qui-Gon. But I'm still early in my journey with the Clone Wars so I might change my mind later on ;)

@@demsael it more so has to do with the Dark Side itself. I have oppinion that the Darksidd takes the negative aspects of someone an amplifies it. Even the Son of Morits, the literal embodiment of the Darkside cared about his sister and was grieve when she died.

I figured that out when editing😇 A Force sensitive Grevious would make no sense since he's basically jealous of the Jedi, for what I've heard/read about him

he was attempting to free his people and destroy the huck home world, when the jedi intervened the same master and apprentice who stopped him prior were slain later on [in the comic series] by the very same one general in this show.

I'm still at the beginning but I'm so excited to do all the classes stories and then go for the expensions :D I'll be streaming all of them right here on TH-cam ;) (And if you haven't played it yet, go check the Mass Effect Series! It's from the same studio as SWTOR and the storytelling is as good if not better! I only played to the first one, I'll replay it then move forward live too)

Then proceeded to get a 4k with knight as well on that map… but I will agree, it get stuck on everything 🤣 I also agree that this was just a aesthetic update 😩. That new Skull merchant map update, actually made me not want to play. I was Demo and befriended a Feng and was just strolled around together 💀. Easily my least favorite map now, combined with Blackwater Swamp

Okay I can see that ! I'm a main survivor and I didn't “play” in them yet, so I have no idea how it feels gameplay-wise. I agree on the too much vegetation, but because it really feel like a forest, I don't mind (so far). Maybe in two weeks I'll do a video saying that at the end of the day I hate those maps 🤣🤣🤣
