regarding the unit pathing, im pretty sure that's due to the unit size (obstructionradiusx and obstructionradiusz in protoy.xml, per each unit). My experiments with modding (reducing, maintaining ratio) those values resulted in more responsive units, but there was some clipping and probably a lot of unforeseen balance issues (for example mill/estate collisions were almost completely eliminated, which spiked their gathering rates way past what they're supposed to be). Strangely enough it also seems to have improved the FPS of my 40 min treaty 4v4 AI games, my guess is because the AI just z-moves from the barracks. As to *why* it is that reducing unit size seemingly improves pathing, I'm assuming the answer is found in how certain units (esp big ones like Frigates where it's very noticeable) tend to "double-take" their movement. You can see several times when you order the frigate to move that it moves in one direction and then snaps to the correct path as it figures out where to go. I think this is happening with every unit to a lesser degree as smaller units have much more leeway and space to move around, and it's generally more likely that they'll be able to squeeze a direct path to their destination rather than needing to make multiple different pathing checks to move around obstacles. Smaller unit radius also allows units to bunch up much more, which the pathfinding algorithm really enjoys doing when trying to reform a group of units or do a rapid change of direction for a spread out line.

Just because 12:58 he didnt do what i mentiones, i would discard that he was using maphack. I didnt analize the rest of the match though, just the times on th video i described.

conclusion: longbowman shoot at 3 per second, but after have shot and thee arrow is going up in the air AND THE UNIT DIES (it doesnt work if the unit doesnt die) is when you have to click on new unit so that they dont reset the animation. You will have 7 out of 12 longbow alive on a mirror fight. But in my oiopinion, there wer left 7 out of 12 only because u made focus
