Valerian/City of a Thousand Planets SUITE
A suite of many of the best moments from Alexandre Desplat's masterpiece score from 2017's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. This was among the best scores of 2017, Desplat pulling out all stops to write one raucous, creative, thrilling hybrid score. The film, while less than stellar, had such dazzling visuals and a mile-a-minute plot (typical of director Luc Besson) and Desplat wrote music that not only kept up with the frantic pace, but frequently elevated the film. A 20 minute suite of music from John Powell's masterful score for the 3rd How to Train Your Dragon film. Emotional, nostalgic, sweet, and powerful. This score has it all.
French and English horns set the tone to any soundtrack. Magestic aren't they?
This music makes me emotional without fail. God I love Star Trek

Zefrem Cochran is a grand-nephew of Elon Musk. That's how he recovered the starship nacelles design when it was stolen from SpaceX in 2042. Can't say I care for his tailor. His costume looks like vintage 1966 TREK TV wardrobe.

The section of this score that comes after the usual star trek theme into the section that is Unique to First Contact is one of the most beautiful orchestrations I have ever heard
Jerry Goldsmith and his Son were two musical maestros
On the big screen, with theatre sound, it was absolutely majestic.
Standard day in the office for Goldsmith. He would write 4/5 themes almost as beautiful and engaging as this every year. But yes, First Contact is one of my favourites of his (out of literally the 100s that he's done, which are all incredible in their own right!)
My favorite is 'First Contact' track 28 maybe.. its perfect

Me too… i always remember when i watched it with my Ex GF and it was the most beautiful time I had so far… I love this film and the Music too… it’s by far the best Star Trek movie ever…
I have never watched a single Star Trek episode and I loved this movie completely... Some say it's hard for the non-initiates, but I disagree. It is a masterpiece of sci-fi.
It is a great film but even better if you are a trek fan. But omg anybody can appreciate this music.
In the same way - for those whove never seen Trek, but love political thrillers, I suggest The Undiscovered Country - aka Star Trek VI. Classic thriller of a whodunnit and cold war like politics.
