This is a nice little autumnal MTB ride in and around the village of Cliddisden near Basingstoke in Hampshire.This is a village Shane grew up in as a child, he new some of the trails ,but we discovered a whole lot of new ones. All in all a great day ,cheers lads....
Andover to Hungerford MTB ride

We had every intention of cycling round the Whitehorse trail over one weekend. That didn’t quite go according to plan. We decided to do only half the route, on one of the hottest weekends of the year so far. We got to see some beautiful Wiltshire countryside along the way.

Wilton windmill MTB ride

Set high above the village of Wilton, in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty, about 9 miles south east of Marlborough in Wiltshire, stands Wilton Windmill, the only working windmill in Wessex and she still produces wholemeal, stone-ground flour. It was a great day out on the bikes....

This was a little 30 miler ride. I wasn't going to film any riding, i only took the go-pro with me just incase we came upon a moaning Karen. Luckily we didnt....this time
Were you fit before or after you started stump grinding with this one? That’s gonna be an added bonus to my journey!
Hasn’t done my shoulders any good put it that way , and it definitely feels like you’ve been to the gym if you’re using it all day I’m going to be getting an hydraulic one soon
@@jamiechandler5218I didn’t even think about the long-term effects! Good luck with your purchase. I’m gonna battle it out with these smaller ones then, like you, invest in one that does most of the work for me! How long did it take you for this stump?
Where do you buy your cutters?? Can they be sharpened?
EBay and yes they can be sharpened. There are three side on them so they can be turned.
@@jamiechandler5218 after using all 3 sides how would you sharpen?

@@34acrehomestead83 You lay them flat and sharpen them that way, so the edges never really wear down. It’s just the top flat piece If that makes sense

I also love wasting their time on these washing machine warranty calls. One last week said i was paying £22 a month which was a lie as i don't pay anything with anyone. He said he could reduce it to £15 a month so i said just go ahead then. He then wanted card details but i said you must have them as i am already paying you. No he said we need to set up a new direct debit. I said i would try to find my card and kept him waiting over 5 minutes. Then said could i not just send a cheque but i was told that is not how they operate. OK i said i think the card maybe in my car just hold the line. Then after about 15 minutes i said i had just realised that any machine repairs are carried out by my landlord. The line went silent for a few seconds then he said you are a tenant WHY DID YOU NOT MENTION THIS?. I said because you never asked. Then he hung up. I always waste their time on these calls especially the Microsoft computer virus calls where i say was that b for ball or d for david?. Sorry what did you say or what do i do next.
It would be nice to get a price. And do a review after let's say 10 stumps.

I had to watch this with no sound (someone else in the room watching TV), but from the video it looks like it works pretty good for a small machine. I think these small grinders might put the big grinder machine manufacturers out of business. I like you comment that the operator has to be fit in order to push the thing around (I assume). But why does the operator need sharp teeth?

They do last a while because they have three sides to them,you can undo them and turn them, when they dull down a bit.

Possibly but probably not and they are not the lightest of stump grinders
If you're not concerned about the lawn the grinder wheel will pull it along like a walk behind mower
how long did it take to grind 1 stump?
Felt like a bloody lifetime... Those grinders aren’t designed to do big stumps but I’m a glutton for punishment. I only use it on small stuff now. The biggest one I have a groundout was a Cedar and that was 4 ft across. I would love to buy a hydraulic one but just don’t have the funds, anyway they just make you lazy
*Heavy machine but does a great job of removing stumps in one day i got 30 stumps goneꉺꉺꉺ>**allmy.tips/DK2StumpGrinder?26Z** I would advise wearing protection gear get a pair of chaps some big pieces come out on left side of machine and will hit your leg Overall great machine would recommend but u do need muscles to use*

Deano Outdoors Hello my friend are you walking it all in one go and camping? It seemed to pass through a few churches and golf courses sometimes the way markers were difficult to find but that was all part of the fun!!! Not quicker on a mountain bike 😀😀

Just bought an old A528 jensen and the rollers are pretty well knackered. I notice there are bolts holding the roller blades on....can you change the blades whilst rollers are insitue ?. Also, what sort of money were the new rollers?. Cheers for any info.
Phil T Hi the rollers and the blades are completely independent from each other, if done correctly the blades should take you under an hour to change. The rollers if I remember correctly cost me £400 one is an aftermarket one, and the other is an original Jensen,that’s all they had in stock and they don’t half make a difference, they will pull anything in😲😲. Hope this makes sense
Thanks for the info Jamie. Under what circumstances would you have to change the whole roller unit then and not just its blades?, I assume the rollers bearings can be changed also without having to buy a new complete roller unit ?. Thanks.
Just to clarify, I'm thinking the sharpe edges of the rollers that drag things in are seperate blades you can unbolt.......not refering to the main blades of the chipper on the flywheel.
Phil T I think you might be getting confused ,the blades on the rollers do not come off they are one set unit and they are driven round with the shaft connected to the hydraulic unit. So basically you have to take the shafts off in order to get the rollers off. those two bolts you see that’s what is screwed into the shaft and when I took mine off I soaked them into diesel for 24 hours because they were on their solid with the aid of the diesel they came off the shaft really easy!! Hope that is a bit clearer for you
It certainly is Jamie!, I saw those 2 bolts and assumed there must be blades bolted all around the roller. Much appreciated for the info mate :).

dan powell I got them from Redwoods in andover the only thing is I think it was end of stock and they were not getting any more in.and that was a couple of years ago now. Try these people they are in Alton, Hampshire can’t member the name of the company. +44 7887 401892

That looks like a PITA to control I rented one with tracks and a hydraulic arm. so much easier.. get it in position and just move the joystick back and forth no strain needed
Looking back why the f..... Am I dragging back the soil ??it was all new to be then would not bother now, one thing I have learnt is keeping it in the soil stops them getting too hot,thus last longer
