71 C10 complete build. LS Swap, paint and body. I had a old Tahoe with no title sitting around so I decided to buy a truck to LS swap. engine swap , camshaft, head gaskets, ported heads, driveshaft, trans….etc. With the exception of the rear end, tune, exhaust and brakes. The truck was completely built and painted at home. No lift, No garage, No booth. Just a Harbor Freight tent and a carport. This is proof and motivation for the ones that don’t trust these shops and what to DIY at home. 75% of shops these days unfortunately have no idea what they’re doing. Why not do it yourself? It’s not cheap but It can be done. I saved at least
$15k-$20k in labor cost and I know everything was done correctly.
