The Stinger missile is a man-portable, shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile designed to target low-flying aircraft, including helicopters, drones, and enemy jets. Developed by the U.S. in the late 20th century, the FIM-92 Stinger uses infrared homing to lock onto the heat signature of an aircraft’s engine, allowing it to engage targets with impressive accuracy. Its portability and effectivenes...

My late son graduated BMT September 11, 2015. It took him from a boy to a man. One of the proudest day if my life was tapping him out!
If @nikkoortiz hasn't seen this, he should. We're seeing more on Marine boot camp than before.
Started USAF basic in 1962. It was two phases back then. As I recall, some stayed for 😢phase 2 and some went right on to tech school. I stayed because I was going to Air Police school which was right there at Lackland and there was a waiting list to get in. Even after phase 2 I had to wait until there was an opening. Ended up spending 9 months there. Lots of changes since then!!
I have to keep reminding myself that these are just civilian kids in a totally foreign, alien environment and totally unprepared for the people (the T.I.'s) they''re dealing with and what they're in for. Give them a week, even a few days, and things settle down. The interviews of the recruits give some idea of how young and "innocent" some of these kids are. But that's okay... they'll catch on. We went through it and so will they. At least most of them. When I enlisted in March, 1963, we started with a flight of 88 men (no female troops) and 5 weeks later we were down to less than 40. Either unadaptable and sent home, or "set back" in training to repeat a portion they had trouble with. Looking back, USAF basic training was a piece of cake compared to the other services. Thank you, T/Sgt Pickrell, A1C (Sr. Airman) Dudasch, A1C (Sr. Airman) Leckemby.... you are not forgotten.
december 3rd i'm so ready
Looks and sounds like a bit ridiculous with all of the yelling. It certainly works if the person has no life experience or possibly a lower IQ. Is all this shouting due to a craving for attention? I think it's something like that. People choose a military career largely for the same reasons as construction work or professional sports. An interesting documentary, though. It really shows the side of life where an individual is molded into a tool for the nation, enabling the correction of failed policies and decisions through violent coercion.
Cosa gala? Sea matta ???😅😊😊
Para sf laughing in the corner 😂😂
55:50 😭😭
Will be leaving December 17th
I’m so glad I already went through this it was a major challenge but I made it and to anyone going in any time soon good luck
Just graduated today, never missed home so much.
Yo im in the vid 😂😂😂😂😂
females Should not be drill instructors!
They should do a Fort Sill version

I do not like the green uniforms at all.The uniforms they are graduating in if not mistaken are from the 40s.Super cool!
I hope to be leaving soon! I just need to finish my SF86 and then I can get my MEPS date, and then hopefully a ship out date
the army but a hell of lot softer /semper fi 95-99
they are power we dont do this when i joind the army the amaricans go too far treating them like cattle they are human person
BMT was the best part of the usaf. If you were planning on joining, do not take any open contracts. BMT will end up being your favorite part as well If you get a terrible job and there's many of them.
Which job is good and which one worst?
If you want to travel and have an awesome job, I would pick loadmaster or in air re fueler. These are the two flight job you could get right away. Stay away from maintenance at all costs. If you have to do maintenance, I would take nondestructive inspection or metal tech. Everything else sucks.
@@YogidancingBear ı am actually working with forklift at my current job
I have more respect for these kids than I do for a room full of spoiled college-educated libs. Wishing them the best. 🚂
I’m an airman and liberal. Don’t be weird

Was there Sept 1989. Was missing my girl really bad through that time I was at Jackson. Went to fort Gordon for AIT afterwards. Ended up on Ft Bragg and in the Desert for Gulf War not long after that. Seems like a 100 years ago.
I can't understand what they are saying when they yell
I would tell those di to stop yelling. I can't understand what they are saying when they yell
Combatives are no longer taught in basic
The so-called airmen on ASU trousers and tan t shirts are 313th non trainees who flunked out of BMT
I have a hard time trying to see these TIs trying to act all hard. They were wrench turners or paper flippers Almost none of them ever seen combat
In Brazil (my country) military service is mandatory for all men. The year you make 18, you show up at the nearest base and sign up. But like 90% of the dudes are dismissed cause of excess of contingent. They try to keep the only ones that are really into it and have no other choices in life. At least the guy can eat and have a bed and some instruction before get out. You serve up to 8 years and leave as a corporal or so. You can then make tests to official schools, and if you are good, then you can pursue the career until general etc. But for the rest, they set a date, you go there, sing the anthem, swear loyalty to the flag beyond an official and get a card that you are ok with military obligations. No further training unless a massive draft are called. My father lost his father at 12 and had to work for his mother and sister. He was going to be drafted since his base needed men (60's, Brazil was a military dictatorship). He appealed that he needed to work to feed his family (and he was right) - women didnt had that much of those things called "jobs" in the 60's. But they holded him until last moment. He always told a funny story that everybody was naked for inspection at the barracks, then a sargeant came in and asked "who of you speak english?". Two dudes thinked they were going to be picked for more easy/soft desk jobs, thinking that was a bonus and raised hands. Then the sargeant said: "ok, pick up the ladder outside and change those 2 lamps up there. They are broken. You wont need clothes for that. Ah, you both are drafted and are responsible for barracks mantainance. Congratulations". Lol
Wedgie!!! I swear
I don't hear them complaining keep that same energy
Who's excited for mandatory talk therapy yay🙂
Bunch of bed wetters
As soon as I arrived at reception at Fort Jackson in 1989 I wanted to go home. I tried to fake asthma but it didn't work. When I got to AIT at Fort Gordon I played crazy until they finally let me out. The week I was processing out I literally had 100s of guys begging me to tell them how to get out.
Then why go…😐
@ because the economy was very bad then and most people went in because they couldn’t find a job
Semper Fi my Brothers, San Diego July 68-Sept 06. No Camera's on us, Many beatings and profanity's in abundance. But once in NAM, we all understood our lessons learned in Boot Camp. Plt 2039, 4 hrs base liberty, then off to Camp Pendleton for ITR. 4 years we shall never forget.
I'm retired now. I came up in the Air Force starting in the 90s as enlisted and retired as a Major. I love the memories this video brings back.
We are getting to come home to Washington DC soon. 😊 Thank you for your service and support. We appreciate you.... US MARINE CORP ELITE TEAM BATTALIONS BREWER-FREELY W-3
I did BCT at Ft.Dix,NJ in November 1984. It was about 2 hours from my house. So it was a drag being so close to home and couldn’t go to the house.
1975, retired 1996. I was selected for DI duty in 79 but managed to get out of it and continue my career as a 431X1C crew chief. I made E-5, (first attempt), that year, then again E-5 had 2 test cycles, A & B each year. If you miss the line # by 3 pts in the A cycle, you're guaranteed a line # in the B cycle just by carryover points on your APR eval.🙂
I want to join the military is the only way to redeem myself.
DAMN THEIR NOT MARCHING BUT JUST WALKING...WTF 😮. We freaking MARCHED 1989 - 1997...BACK IN THE DAY..
I've gone to Army BCT more than over a year ago in Ft. Leonardwood, MO, did a lot like what was on the video, except for the hand to hand combat we did not do. Every night before hygiene and lights out, we would get night night bars (calcium bars, either cherry tart, chocolate, or caramel sea salt). 😊
The army is gay as fuck
