    I had Eyhance toric 2s put in my eyes 3 weeks ago. Ruined my vision compared to before surgery. I see partly double causing blurry vision starting about 3 ft out. Further out the worse it gets. Don't get them. I regret doing it as I had sharp vision from up close to the horizon. Just had some cadacts. Gave a slight yellowish tint. Now how much is it going to cost to fix this if it is possible. I shelled out 3k to have the toric's put in. I'm busted money wise.

    I use such lens. I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the lens. I am 40 years I have no complaints against the doctors. For 65+, a good option is possible. But for those who are younger, it is better to install at least Symfony and Synergy. With Eyhance you will suffer greatly with far vision or wear glasses. It's a pity that the lenses are put in actually only once in a lifetime (only in super emergency cases you can change them).

    I got Synergy lens in my left eye, was totally satisfied with near vision but had serious issues with far distances & halos during night driving. After an extensive search online, I decided to go for Eyehance in my right eye which turned out to be a good decision. My far sight vision improved considerably & halos do not bother me since right eye is a dominant eye in India. I am not using glasses after 30 yrs gap. Using mixed lenses is not recommended by most eye surgeons but they worked well in my case.

      @@acidophulus Hello Marilyn. I'm located in Syria where we have much more European options than US products. Actually as of now I've postponed the decision to choose as long as i could and my vision allows me. Becuse only last year the US FDA trials started in the US for 2 VERY promising accommodative lenses that act the same natural way the human eye does. A couple of years later they are expected to be available in the market. So my advice for anyone who can tolerate their condition is to wait.

      @@anassyria5176 One eye cannot wait Very bad. Many have eyehance here - only gives one more line of vision xtra .-50 from what I read?. Seems hit or miss if people get interemediate. I would want to be able to see about 24-26 inches for computer. Then other eye To try to get more near or I would attempt near/intermediate to keep more near vision and get intermediate. for computer. Since don't need readers now with great near vision , didn't want to be reader dependent -The EMV looks like give a little more range of visiomn but now sure more surgeons in US picked up on it yet. -Didn't want to deal wih multifocals because of potential issues with them I have to pick something asap

    • @anassyria5176
      @anassyria5176 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@acidophulus I see. My plan B (if for any reason I wouldn't go for these future accommodative lenses) is definitely going for the RayOne Emv. It's the best available choice as far as my research went, and gives the best quality sharpness with no side effects that may come with EDOf or multifocals which are a big no for me as I'm designer and perfectionistin nature. The RayOne EMV seems to be forgiving of minor errors in optical power calculations by doctors thanks to it's defocus curve and aberration type which resultin sharper vision. This plan B would be for me to have both eyes done with the EMV, with a 0.5 to 1.0 diopter difference between both eyes, which means both eyes would work together, one of them is slightly better for far and some intermediate range and the other eye is better for intermediate and some near vision.

    After extensive research, I had decided on Eyhance as the best compromise between the normal Tecnis monofocal and Tecnis Symfony, as I would like some improved intermediate vision but without the side effects of Symfony. I had extensive biometric tests with the latest equipment. I was then told very emphatically that the Eyhance would provide no benefit at all over the standard Tecnis monofocal, because of the power of IOL needed. I think, but am not sure, the IOL power is approximately 9D. Is this true that the Eyhance has no advantages for certain powers? I am myopic (approximately -8D spectacle prescription, no significant astigmatism). I am extremely disappointed with this news. Can you please emphasize the difference in results for myopic eyes for advanced IOLs such as Eyhance.

    Dear Sir I am 50 years old and have undergone cataract operations in both the eyes in August and September respectively ...replaced natural lens with technis eyhance by j & j(ICBOO)...imported and marketed by Chennai based firm Have some queries, doubts and questions regarding the lens implanted...hope you will whole heartedly clear my doubts As per the lens box with me the details of the lens are as under 1).manufactured in Netherlands... Implanted in my left eye... Diaptor: +13.5D 2)manufactured in USA... Implanted in my right eye.. Diaptor: +13.5D Questions 1) Is the quality different ...as both are manufactured in different countries? 2) Can the distance and intermediate distance vision of the lens with same diaptor be altered or changed after it has come out of the manufacturing plant? Have these questions in my mind after 20 days of my operation in my 2nd eye... the intermediate & distance vision of both the eyes is not the same...even the brightness in both the eyes is different...the eye with less brightness (2nd eye) has better intermediate distance than the eye that was operated first before 30 days... Have no doubts about + - numbers of my eyes that were checked before the operations in both my eyes... As I had verified with different 4-5 eye doctors for pre-cataract examinations Have questioned my Doctor...but not fully convinced with his answer As per him the intermediate and distant vision in both the lens are inversely altered... I wonder how it is possible ?...as the box of the lens is expectedly sealed from the manufacturing plant and is open just at the time of operation of the patient Is it altered at the importer/marketier end...or at the sellers end... Or at the doctors end....! My doctor was unaware of the eyhanse and had implanted the lens on my insistance Hope you will find time and holistically and sincerely answer my above worries and doubts Thanks & Regards

    Always funny seeing people with glasses talk about premium iol's. Don't they trust these products enough to have them implanted them selves? If you do not have IOLs yourself you never can fully understand how it is to have them. If you do not have undergone the whole proces of neural adaptation, the healing proces etc you do not really know how it is. But we know because of scientific research and listening to patients etc they will say. But all that lacks one important thing that is, having own experience.

      IOL’s should be used only for Cataract replacement, IMO. Perhaps these doctors don’t have cataracts yet. Also, another eye surgeon on .TH-cam states he does cataract lens replacement for many other surgeons and 90% of them choose a monofocal lens. So still will use reading glasses.
