This is perhaps the best sermon I’ve ever seen melding Scripture and psychological principles to create something we really don’t focus on in our daily lives: choosing joy. I’ve been reading about it the last month. “Resilient cheerfulness anchored in the goodness of God.” Thanks for this sermon, Pastor Mike. This does more than define joy, it tells us how God speaks to the “how”.

Thank you for this Mike. You are like my favorite professor in the college of Jesus. The way you talk makes sense of things and makes me feel calm and more determined in my faith. Thank you~!

When Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, he was also able to provide everything that his chosen ones would need to live a holy life. He was able to send the Holy Spirit, who has the power to conquer the flesh in human beings so that we can live in true righteousness. We also receive a new heart with God’s laws written on it so that we can obey God’s laws. Jesus gives us these things when he forgives us and we are Born Again. Sinning Christians have not yet been forgiven. If they were, the evidence of their conversion would be obvious. False religion has infiltrated the majority of Christian churches today. False ministers preach that it is impossible to stop sinning while in the human body, which denies the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness. This is also mockery of the work that Jesus did at the cross to free us from the bondage of sin. Jesus died a brutal and cruel death to provide the things that are necessary for our salvation, yet the sacrifices that he made are mocked and blasphemed by false converts. Insincere Christians have only a lukewarm belief in Jesus, and they don't have the genuine faith that leads to Salvation. The false church discourages faith in the power of God and lulls whole congregations into a state of unbelief.
