08 Which One Did the Father's Will?
This question came at the end of the parable of the Good Samaritan. It raises a great question: are we doing the will of the Father? We should all be kind and benevolent to others. If we're not, we need to change!

"Satan Has Asked for You"
มุมมอง 3414 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Satan wanted to dislodge Peter from his faith and destroy his soul like chaff when it’s separated from the wheat. Three of Peter’s decisions warn us to be careful, lest Satan sift us like wheat. At 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (11/17/24) we’ll detail each decision and learn how to be guarded when facing temptation.
Pure Minds, Safe Hearts
มุมมอง 3114 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The battle for our kid’s hearts rages and the attacks just get more crafty as time moves on. We can barely help our kids ward off one thing when the next new thing sneaks around the opposite corner. It’s important to not just keep them safe, but to teach them four ways to guard their hearts.
07 Was John's Baptism From God?
มุมมอง 2419 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This was a critical question asked by Jesus directed to His enemies. They had to accept His authority and so do we. Will you fight against the authority of Jesus or accept Him as the Master of your life?
38 Sifted as Wheat
มุมมอง 42วันที่ผ่านมา
Satan wanted to sift Peter as wheat. He wants to do the same to us. Will he be successful? It takes a lot fo work to stand against him, but the gospel gives us the power!

This lesson begins the discussion of Nehemiah and what God's people can learn from his leadership qualities.
The Restoration Principle
มุมมอง 50วันที่ผ่านมา
Perhaps the answer to a decline in Christianity is to restore the church as found in the New Testament. There are two basic attitudes relative to New Testament religion. One says God made it perfect and it shouldn’t be changed. The other says it should be static. Which one does the New Testament advocate?
Troublesome Times Are Here
มุมมอง 4114 วันที่ผ่านมา
The hymn “Jesus Is Coming Soon” includes the lyrics “Troublesome times are here, filling men's hearts with fear.” When it was written the entire world was at war. We all have national/societal battles, and we all have personal battles. For everyone, troublesome times are here.
I WOUNDER WHO WOULD SAY THAT THE OTHER GUY SATAN
Very, very essential and helpful message in our walk with the Lord and on our Christian pilgrimage.
The Bible is the greatest work of fiction ever produced
There’s a difference between being rational and rationalizing. They feel like the same exercise, but they’re not.
thank you for doing these videos. My husband and I are both disabled living at an Assisted living facility and we are in our 50's so we really want to go to church but can't get there due to our health. This gives us something to work with. God bless you all for doing this and have an amazing Jesus filled day.
Thank you for watching!
Sorry, but if evolution is true then Xianity is _false._ Even the most benighted Fundie sees that.
I would agree with you. You can't compromise the two. Everyone has to choose how they understand and interpret the Universe.
I always injoy listening brother Jim to your very interesting topic. ❤
I appreciate that!
Thank you brother Jim
You're welcome!
Amen and Amen. Guard our hearts with all diligence, from out of our hearts is life.
That’s absolutely true!
All religions have some truth, reality, and historical evidence
All other religions also have counterproof.

Thank you brother kyle
You're very welcome!
Very encouraging, instructive, informative but more especially alarming and sobering lesson. Thanks so very much brother Kyle for preparing and sharing this wonderful lesson.
Glad you enjoyed it, Peter!
JESUS CHRIST is GOD, the Bible says so and HE proved it and if you don't believe that the entire Bible is the eternal Word of GOD you must study fulfilled Bible prophecy - only GOD can declare the end from the beginning!
We definitely agree!
Simon the fisherman was given the name "Peter" or "rock" that the church would be built upon. Peter denied Jesus 3 times and then realized what he did and repented. That is the foundation of the church, understanding your shortcomings and repenting. How it got to opulence and decadence is by men.
"No other foundation can be laid other than has been laid...." Christ. But the church is not his people, the ekklesia is.
The "foundation" upon which the church is built in Matthew 16:18 had nothing to do with Peter as a person. It all had to do with the confession he made that Christ was the Son of the Living God. The church began with that monumental fact, not with a man.
Thank you brother Jim for this very interesting 😅beautiful topic. I'm happy listening of it. ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes, the bible is made up. The patriarchs were not history, and so are moses. The gospels were written by anonymous authors who were not eyewitnesses.
The gospels were written by those who were apostles or associates of Jesus and the apostles. Upon what basis do you make the claim that the gospels were written by "authors who were not eyewitnesses"?
@loop287churchofchrist the bulk of biblical scholarship both secular and religious. The bible is not history.
Thank you brother Kyle
Very welcome!
This is why the scriptures say there will be teachers and these teachers have been in the Catholic church since the time of the apostolic age
We are chosen to be saved and we are led to Jesus by our father. He chooses us by our hearts and not by our works. Our works are given to us by the spirit that enters into you after you are saved and baptized. It is the baptism that gives you his spirit that gives us good works for evidence. But we are saved by his free will of his sacrifice.
he sounds Catholic 😊
His blood made it possible, for the Creator to call on the ones outside of the Hebrew temple, he was just Her vessel that needed to have Her people open for Her call. She told him to proclaim Her, and told Her Disciples to go to Her people and baptize them to make ready for Her time of gathering. [ This answer is not trinitarian ]
The good works we do are an outpouring of the sanctification wrought in us by the Holy Spirit. It is by surrender to God and allowing His love to fill our lives that we begin doing, not begin doing to have God fill us. If you aren't seeing good works in your life, perhaps your struggle is not to do good works, rather you need to behold Him and allow Him to change you from the inside. It is by beholding that we become changed.
We are saved onto good works, not by our good works. Jesus paid it all.
Thank you brother Jim for this very interesting snd beautiful topic!... ❤❤❤

You are calling the holy Bible a joke. How dare you! Oh but everyone has there own opinion, but if you are going to continue to knock down the holy Bible would you please go on another site so I don't have to hear how ignorant you are.
Could you elaborate on how I'm calling the Bible a joke? The intent was exactly the opposite.
I know the Bible is true because the Bible says it is true?
We would be in agreement.
I injoy listening the preaching of brother Jim. Thank you brother Jim for this beautiful lesson...
Thanks for listening!
Thank you brother Kyle for this beautiful lesson!
My pleasure!
there is no such thing as the perseverance of the saints in the bible so let's get that out of your mind, please! Calvin made that up and that has nothing to do with OSAS because if you think about it, OSAS is eternal life, and that is what Jesus accomplished at the cross, to ANYONE who believes in Him. Very simple our eternal security is on the finished work of the cross not what you or I can do or think of doing. and all warning to believers were not to get caught up in false teachings like the one you are preaching.
There were warnings and exhortations to believers to not fall from faithfulness (or to continue in faithfulness). The reason being, God graciously gave us the chance to be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ, but my faith compels me to work out my salvation "in fear and trembling."
@ Like I said false teachings you are preaching.
If we are teaching false doctrine, then continue explaining how we are, please.
@@loop287churchofchrist By trying to establish your own righteousness and ignoring the righteousness of God. One that depends on themselves to think they can please God by their own efforts is an enemy of God. Just like Cain who actually hated God and hated the gospel. And try’ed to establish his own way of forgiveness or acceptance to God by his own works and ignoring the sacrifice the gospel that they were most likely were told by Adam and Eve. Because we obviously see Abel took it to the heart. And he believed
You wrote, "One that depends on themselves to think they can please God by their own efforts is an enemy of God." I would concur with this. The question is what does "their own efforts" mean? We are only saying that once someone becomes a Christian, God wants them to walk or do "good works." These aren't works made up of their own effort, but are directed by God in the Bible.
Good teachings brother.
I appreciate that!

@loop287churchofchrist please share the links if any online classes are there brother, I would like to learn.
Every point is well appreciated. I wonder if you will have in the future the examination of bible verses used by Calvinists to support their doctrine. Like Eph. 1:4 and others. Thank you.
The point is that Christians can fall into temporary sin, which is wrong, and God commands us to stand firm so we don’t make others curse Him because of our poor witness. We cannot fall away permanently. Once we are saved, we are always saved.
A true believer never stops believing. They carry with them the hope of salvation no matter the season they are in. It's the abiding faith that is a challenge to maintain. You must spend time in God's word and pray to abide in Him.
Jesus said that whom the father gives him no one can take away. The Bible also says that any who leave us were never really of us or they would not have left. This proves two things 1. Once saved always saved And 2. If you “leave the faith” you never really believed in the first place.
Truly saved is forever, we have possession of faith.
Why would a believer ever " Want" to become fallen an unbeliever?
They wouldn’t. The Bible clearly says if they leave us they were never truly of us.
