Two Wheeled Therapy - In The North Wales Mountains
Bikes are my therapy, there is no feeling like being on two wheels in a mountain pass, even on grey overcast days it still makes me smile.
The Ogden Valley, seen here, is one of my favourite places to ride, its not too technical a road so is good for learning how your bike responds and the views are simply stunning.
With the weather in the UK slowly improving, please keep an eye out for us bikers when you are traveling, an extra check at a junction can save a life

That is freakin’ brilliant! Does it work for the gas release valve up top?
It depends on the damage on the valve, if its just dried out rubber components and seals it has a chance, if its the metal parts it won't stand a chance
@@tbv_shortsof course, metal parts are seldom the issue fortunately. I ask because my co2 release valve for a steel BB GBB 1911 leaks out the front of the valve. Occasionally tiny dirt particles get between the hard plastic seal and the conical sealing surface of the metal pin the hammer moves to release the gas. I cleaned it carefully but it’s still leaking. So, it’s either the plastic seal is dented or hopefully only the oring. Is there any place that sells those plastic seals?
@George.___ no idea on that one, none of my kit is steel bb shooting or co2, I've been out of the airsoft scene for a while now so I'm not massively up on retailers these days
@@tbv_shortsno problem, thanks for the reply. If it’s any help, I thought of a potential way to fix a buggered up plastic seal. Heat the top of the metal pin that seats on the plastic with a soldering iron briefly so it softens the plastic and makes a new sealing surface for itself. Haven’t tried it yet and it could be tricky but your method inspired the idea. Thanks again and be safe out there on roads while on 2 wheels! It’s always other drivers that get you.
When i pull the trigger it doesn't even make a shot it just releases whole gas from mag and slide just jams so strong that i can't even move it
@denysfedoriv106 The first thing you need to do is fully strip and clean the gun and put it back together with decent quality lubrication on all the moving parts. From what you are stating, it sounds like you either have a buildup of dirt from somewhere stopping things from moving as they should or a damaged seal somewhere that is allowing the mag to vent its gas. Either way you'll need to strip the gun down so may as well start with a damn good cleaning before anything else
@tbv_shorts and one more question do i have to buy some special lubrication for guns ? or l can just use something random like the one i use for my car ( at least like temporary solution )
Don't it rust after dipping in water?
@wala2 not if you dry it off right away, most mags are painted metal, it takes more than a couple of seconds in the water to make a mag rust. I've seen mags lost on sites for a couple of weeks that were fine
NO WAY
How did this work? My dumbass really ordered a whole new mag when I could’ve just do this! But that’s great
Heat transfer is an effective tool used in the motor trade for years (having bearings in the freezer is a common one to get them to fit in tight spots or putting them in a deep fat frier full of hot oil to make them expand for fitting on a tight shaft) this is basically just that but on a smaller/lower temperature scale
Dude thank you! This just saved a mag, time and patience. Much appreciated
Man i love internet. I am just working on getting me license for firearms, so meanwhile i got myself my first airsoft gun for dry firing. Totally obssesed, how its almost like real gun - dissasembly and weight. Today my gun stopped shooting. I was so damn furious. I saw this vid and was thinking that it cant be! But realized one of cartridges did go out quickly and my valve is not working properly. So i did what you recorded. Man.. It works now perfectly fine. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Hello isn't it dangerous to put the magazine into hot water
Not as long as your careful, I've done this literally hundreds of times as a site manager to keep customers in the game with no ill effects
Just ordered a pair of these, any update after the last few years use
So I'm on my 3rd set, the ones I reviewed got caught in an angle grinder while I wasn't paying attention, the second set got chewed up by one of my dogs when I left them out by mistake, the third set are going strong
How does this work?
The heat from the boiling water causes the metal and rubber seals to expand, by doing this and then pressurising the mag again with gas it stops the leaks if the rubber seals aren't overly damaged.
I'm not sure if you'll ever see this but I bought a second hand revolver M66 S&W and it leaked and was gutted. I found this and it just worked and made my day!!
Glad it helped!
hi capa mag ok?
I need to thank you. I’ve got an Army Armenent or what ever the name is, m1911 which is gas blow back. It’s been leaky for absolutely ages and a new magazine is like £20-£30 which is mental. I tried this and boom, it’s working right a way. Thanks mate
It works 😺
My mind when you put the filled gas mag in the boiling water I was like 😮is that gon blow up?!?!??! Phew thank God
The twiddling of the fingers on the bench waiting lol good one❤
Did not work for me 😢
I will dip the magazine in just 3 or 5 seconds in hot water sir???
dip it until the bubbles stop leaking out
I have a paintball marker that takes CO2 capsules. Prob is, the valve is at the bottom of the sealed plastic handle. Now, this may sound daft, could I then pour hot water down where you insert the capsule and will that work or will I just have a wet knackered gun?
No idea but it doesn't sound great, no water enters the mag using this method it's the heat transfer and gas pressure that makes it work, I can't say if what you're describing works but I doubt it would given your description
I was very dubious, too. So I heated the kettle to the same extent you did and thought why not? I poured in a very small amount and bugger me it worked! I tell you, I had ditched that marker and now it's gone back in the "last resort" rack! Btw, I have a few magazine loading guns that take co2s and if they play up I will be trying your method. Great vid. @@tbv_shorts
Does that also work for Co2 gas magazines?
I've never done it myself but others have said it worked for them
Not going to rust ?
Not if you dry it off right away
I have tried different ways and about to buy a new mag then I saw your video. It’s like a magic❤❤ thank you so muchh!!
This worked thanks. And if you put the mag in a thin plastic bag before into the water, saves drying it out
Brilliant
Bro it didn’t work, help.
If it didn't work your seals are likely beyond repair and will need to be replaced. The types of seal and how to take the mag to bits varies massively so you'll need to look up the specific parts and process unfortunately
@@tbv_shortsok bro so uh basically I tried to replace the seal only to find out everything is fine except the valve was very loose. Thanks for the help though as the magazine is fixed now 👍🏾
Thanks dude. it worked
I was gonna try this but when I put water in the cup the mag just fixed itself
Auto subscribe brother❤❤❤❤
Amazing... Its work on my G18C bro❤❤❤❤❤ thanks so muuchhhh
dude it workd!
Lo voy a intentar
could i put the mag in a zip lock bag so it doesn’t rust? Also would it work the same as if the bag wasn’t there
Your mag shouldn't rust by dipping it in hot water quickly doing this and then drying it right after, rust would only set in if you kept it in there for a while (multiple hours). If your mag rusted that quick I'd be seriously concerned about using it at all, I have mags that I left outside for weeks and they were fine, just dry it off right after doing this and you'll be fine
Thanks for the tip!...it really worked on my mag.
holy shizzle man, I thought you being brits heating up the kettle for a cup of tea while fixing the magazine. That dipping technique is legit, my Deagle tokyo marui magz fixed by this. Hats off to you king 👑. ill share this to my airsoft crazed cousin
well mine exploded after that....
One of my mags fires in random burst, but I'm not sure if it's a leaky mag
That sounds more like a valve or feeder issue from what you describe
@The Biking Viking if that's the case, should I replace the valve?
Without seeing it in person it's hard to tell, probably better for your local shop to take a look
Thank you for the tip saved me 42$!!! And I appreciate the honesty you said it was gonna work or not, fortunately for me it worked great, thank you!!!
neat trick. thanks
Oh Bullshit, take the f'ing VALVES OUT, SOAK THE O-RINGS involved in thin Silicone Oil for about 4 hours and the FIX will last for MONTHS and not a day with this bullshit fix!
Great tip
Worked on Glock 19x Gen5 HBB Airsoft. Thank you and greetings from Costa Rica.
Thank you! This worked like 97% for me... It's on an older Tokyo Marui HK USP full size. It's just barely seeping out now. It's actually useable! Thanks again 🤙🏽
Does it truly work? My mag leaks from the top not at the refilling area
Stick the mag in top down and give it a go
Should I wait for the mag to cool down
It shouldn't get massively hot to be honest, just hot enough to loosen the rubber seal, the heat in the metal dissipates pretty fast, just be sensible about putting your hands near hot water
I can't believe, it really works. Thanks mate
Thanks bro 🙏
Thank you
Brilliant little trick i will trybit when a mag fails
Or if it still leaks because of age and being deformed, you can remove the base plate, VERY carefully remove the rectangle seal from the base plate and simply turn it upside down and you will notice when you but it back together it is tighter before you even tighten the screw.. just done is before writing this comment and its worked like a dream
Have you had experience of the C.A.P Airsoft and the fact I only got it yesterday and just dumps CO,2 and the complicated way it holds in. I think magazine valve gone already!
Help
bro i got problem it stopped leaking but when i put gas in there and shoot once or twice the gas just leaks out so ig im buying new mag. or gun
If its venting after a couple of shots it could be a whole host of issues, it could be your mag seals being worn out, it could be a damaged mag valve, could be a recoil spring or hammer spring, could be a build up of dirt on or in your slide or body of your gun. There's a lot of reasons for it venting as you describe.
@@tbv_shorts thanks for info
@@tbv_shorts So you know that rubber thing on magazine so i losted it and founded it and putted it back it works better but it still leaks
@@tadess4513 ah, yeah that's a seal that works in the mag well to get the as behind the round and fire it, I'd start by replacing that with a new one as they are pretty delicate and need to make a proper seal inside the gun to make everything work correctly
