Ignition switch?
Sounds to me like the main relay isn't getting good enough contact. Some of the old ones you can take apart and see the relay parts and contacts. Usually easiest to just plug in a new relay and see what happens.
Hello Josh. when you start making the sail panels for 73-74 Nova, I'm interested.
Sounds good, I'll keep everyone posted! Hopefully soon... I wanted to be able to have them for Christmas this year... but the problems with the molds are killing me. Fortunately they fit well!
Hey, I’ve been trying to take out the motor mounts in mine but the starter is in the way of the horizontal bolt on the driver side, on the passenger side there’s a little shield almost that’s in the way of getting that horizontal bolt out, did you do anything special to get the bolts out of those spots
We didn't run into any interference with the starter, but for the little shield we just bent it out of the way a little bit. Hope that helps!

Did you replace the motor mount bolts or reused the old ones?
Also did you use the blue thread tight?
@@eduardomunoz9708 re-used the old ones. We didn't have blue loctite, so I skipped it on this install.

Everyone bangs on about VWs in Europe, Do you think this is just over complicating everything?? To repair I mean.
@lukeharris2826 honestly, it wasn't bad. Maybe an hour including jacking up the car. More likely we just settle for lower quality parts to save a dime

Yeah, that happens. I think you'll find when editing a video it's harder to adjust the volume for all devices than it would at first seem. But hey - thanks for the feedback!

Interesting how your extractor water was like caramel color. Mine up here is usually dark brown/almost black. Wonder if it has to do with dirtiness or soil composition
My best guess is number of caramel macchiato's left in the seat/ carpet 😂

May I know where did you purchase the gasket, Please let me know the part number, I guess I have the same issue as you as everyone else, something isn’t right because leaking oil thanks
06F145757L for the upper gasket. Also used for the lower gasket of later engine codes (CCTA, CBFA etc.) in some Mk5s and (all?) Mk6s. 058145757A for the lower gasket in earlier (eg. BPY) engine codes. I just bought a couple of the upper gaskets from my local VW dealer, cheaper than ECS Tuning...
