Wonder what changed?
Super Bowl murder.
I wanna go back, back...cause I'm feeling so much younger, but I can't go back, I know! 😢
That video is so funny
What the hell did I just watch?
I wanna jump into this video!
Its so ghetto and sad now.
Not ghetto at all, just sad.

I Like Limelight Atlanta Georgia Nightclub From The 80s And Early 90s In My Opinion
Damn! The music! The cars! The people and, those times! Damn I miss old Atlanta! This is the greatest video ever!
1:13 Lupe! I played in a couple different bands (The Joe Band, Face To Face) at McGee's throughout the '80s, and I remember her well. She had so much personality. 😎
Where is Lupe nowadays??
@@jrawlins5246 I don't know. Haven't seen her since those days.
Wow what a trip right back to those fun times! So many fun places &!times..Loved seeing the Birdman on West Paces Ferry, in traffic by Lenox Square… and to read about his life was pretty surprising.
Life in Buckhead during this time was so cool. I was the man upper rooms We all had. A hot time I still live off west paces ferry in my house 40 years
I was the dude in limelight cutting lines . This was a cool time in Atlanta ga.
I AM 62 YEARS OLD Still live in Buckhead 42 years i miss those days . I MISS THOSE COOL DAYS
Lewis & Ron are all over this video. Many faces I remember well. Tks for sharing!
I'd love to see a contrast video of what Buckhead is like in the 2020's
Buckhead died about the time that Ray Lewis' victims did.
Good stuff. Could have also put in Confetti's, Good Old Days, Club 112 to name a few.
I definitely miss the 80's , between the looks, the clubs, the music, & the cars you couldn't do any better!! 💜💯
White erasure hadn't kicked off.
Not my favorite era of Atlanta but it was definitely something.
Completely different place today lol
Lol this is before Atlanta became the gay capital.
It definitely was already, especially in Midtown. That's where Ru Paul worked.
We were the queer capital long before this.
The Place on Paces has closed????? Say it ain't so.
Love seeing Lewis Grizzard in this!!!
I felt like some of those guys sitting at the bar looked familiar, too.
Oh man buckhead was an amazing place...so happy I was 25 in the year 2000. Y'all young bucks don't understand
You caught the tail end of it
@@robjohnson2228 Yeah, my time in buckhead was around 97 to 2003...really fell downhill after that, had no interest in the new crime element on the scene
I miss that Buckhead.
Miss this time...so glad I experienced all the pomp of it.
Isn't Buckhead trying to separate from Atalanta now ? Trying to separate from the mess that city has gotten into ?
I am the girl in the "Lilly skirt" leaning on the red BMW convertible. What a special time to be in Atlanta!
Wow for real?
Pretty dangerous time now
Yeah apparently it's a diverse shit hole now lolol
I’m the red bmw. Small world!
@@ketaminesulphate6447 Sorry, I'm just now seeing this! Yep, that's me!
Wasn't the albino in the sun glasses kissing the girl "Scotty" the bartender?
I remember Scotty from McGee's. But this is a different guy. 😎
Things were hoppin that's for sure!
1:59 The Legendary Lewis Grizzard!
I wonder how many in this can look at it now without being embarrassed
Awesome! Just found this. I am driving the Benz at 00:40. What a party B'Head was! No place like it then and never again! From now looking back is like us then looking back to 1950!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome!!!
If you didn't get laid in Buckhead in the 80's/90's you needed help, said ex Rio Bravo Bartender.
I remember when Rio Bravo opened. It used to be a Western Sizzlin' Steakhouse!
Ahh Buckhead in the 80's. Lots of fond memories... the ones I can remember!
Yes, so many clouded memories in that place
Brings back my youth i lived in Atlanta the 1st time 87 to 92 then left for peace corps ive been back since 06 all the fun gone now its overpriced condos i loved aunt charlies back.in the day. I remember bird man from.the news
0:47 Buckhead back when it had class ... even the homeless were whites in suits and nice shoes. Since the Ray Lewis involved murders, something changed the hood. Not sure what. Hm.
One night in buckhead , car full of bullet holes 🧀 2021 remix
3:20 I wonder how much cocaine was done here
Lots...lots
Flashback to when everybody wasn't a fat pig. That's the world I grew up in. I miss it.
I didn't see any cars like those in 1985. Where were they hiding?
On West Paces Ferry Road & the parking lots at Lennox & Phipps Plaza
Oh wow did I have a lot of memory flashbacks there. Fun song I enjoyefthis this
spent a lot of time in Buckhead in early 90's to 2000. The fun officially ended with the 2000 Super Bowl and the Ravens/Ray Lewis incident. Since then, ATL is nothing but a sprawling mess of neighborhood areas with their own nightlife; VA Highlands, Little Five, Midtown, Cumberland, blah blah blah. Something new opens and others close up. True downtown is a mess, always has been and always will be. You still need to leave there after sundown. Not safe. Have moved to Nashville where they value the downtown hub area and locate almost everything there. Will be a sprawling mess like ATL/Houston/Charlotte someday, but good for now.
An '84 BMW and three tanked sorority girls in lily skirts. You're really playing on my weakness. God that's funny. I had forgotten about the Birdman, zipping around on his bike.
Atlanta will NEVER be the same !!!!
Nice 80's throwback! Wow! But where's Good ol' Days?
And Legends 🙂
i remember this as i lived there
i was the stage manager at Ruperts Nightclub.
wow flashback to all who was there
This is so good. RIP Lewis Grizzard! RIP Bird Man!
So much fun. I feel like I am so lucky to have been born in Atlanta. 😎
