hehehehe...yeah Michael had a "mixed" weekend!!!!! He's managed to familiarise himself with his new car and is fairly difficult to beat now. I think this event was only the second or third time he'd run it since building it from new.

Niiiice video - looks like fun! - I want one istead of my kart :-) It is not to be an idiot, but is the change from 3rd to 4th a little bit early. One or two times it gets a bit more rev in 3rd before the gear change, and it seems it pulls more that way.

I remember working at this meeting, I was working on the left of pit exit (1.5) i think it was in the 3rd race all hell broke loose coming out of turn 1, one car spun in front of the pack , as they scattered everywhere one car hit the wall on drivers left and rolled over.

Glad i spotted this vid. Have thought about getting into Formula V, and this was an excellent way to see what I'd be in for. Looks nice a fast and challengine. Im just too old/big for karting ;) so this had been suggested the next step up :D Have you ever driven Barbagello (perth)? Comments? Coming from Perth, that would be my local track so...

ouch!! i've missed 2nd gear at the start of a race as well before...its definitely a shit feeling coz basically the whole pack comes past as they're all bunched together...bad timing haha! cool vids, altho angle could be better (more of the track)

You must be psychic...we raced there just last weekend (9-10 February 2008) - ten years after the event you're watching above!!!! It was bloody brilliant. I'll upload the on-board footage over the next few days. Cheers.

Howdy, We tend to get up to approx 180kph at best. It all depend on if you get a tow and the abscence of a head wind. I know that some competitors have seen 187kph!!!! Thanks for the taking the time to have a look.

Gday TSN66, The car on-screen is a 1600 however the catagory comprises both 1200 and 1600 cars. You'll notice Jason lapping the 1200's closer to the end of the races. The lap-time dirrence is approx 4 seconds at a track like Wakefield. Cheers, Zane.
