Hey Yall! Welcome back! I am tackling an important part of owning a boat in this episode, and that is, Boat Trailer Maintenance. The side bunks, or guides, were in rough shape on my boat trailer. These bunks are really important and helpful when loading the boat on the trailer as well as while towing the boat. Definitely check out this video for some helpful insight on fixing your boat trailer! I hope yall enjoy! ***DISCLAIMER: cute dog footage is included in this video, you might die from the cuteness***

Hey yall! Welcome back to another episode of SkyHighOutdoors! This time Stace and I hit the Grand Strand! Which is the area between Pawleys Island, SC all the way up to Southport, NC. Specifically, we were in Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet for some beaching and fishing, respectively. We had a great time hitting the beach for the first time this year, as well as exploring a completely new fis...
Poling Platform- things to consider when you get one fabricated
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey yall, in this video I'm showing the newest upgrade to my jon boat! I've been wanting a poling platform for sometime. Especially now since I've been fishing flats and other shallow water conditions where stealth is really important. Not only that, in those situations of shallow water, you are able to get a better vantage point to sight fish. Thanks for watching! Tight Lines and Good Times!!
My Girlfriend's first Smallmouth! - Stace-a-sode 1
มุมมอง 963 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey yall! In this video we go back to the ole trusty Broad River spot and Stacey catches her first smallmouth bass! And a nice one at that!! I introduced Stace to fishing at the beginning of COVID. She started out with a push button reel catching bluegill, she has become quite the fisherlady since then! I am so proud how far she has come in only a year. I love that I was able to pass along my k...

มุมมอง 2383 ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome back! This week we are switching gears to some freshwater fishing. This is not your typical lake or pond stuff, this is the Broad River in Columbia, SC. This water is MOVING, which creates unique fishing opportunities for Smallmouth, Largemouth, and Stripped Bass. In this video, I hook up to the biggest smallie I've ever caught. Check it! Too much yapping, Jesus!!
I assume that the likes of steering cables, throttle and gear cables need to have a certain amount of required length as the motor is now in a different place ?
I have a similar unit to install and have no idea on the height, isn't your motor way higher now it looks like it or is that how they work, I know you can't make your motor much higher than the transom or it will not work right. I know because i just added 2 inches to the top of my transom and its no good i have to cut it back to the original height.
Hola muy buen video, soy de argentina aca no llega ese soporte y lamentablemente no lo podemos pedir por que es costoso por los impuestos. Me podrias decir por favor cual es el espesor del aluminio del soporte para hacerlo?
well done! thanks for the video. Any reason not to put anti-corrosion paint after polishing that part? I think it can be more durable.
No reason not to! Probably should have looking back!
I like that breed of dogs they're so sweet and gentle.
The best there is! Very gentle, and eager to please, which make them such trainable dogs!
@@fishmaster797 most definitely and you forgot to mention they're also one of the smartest if not the smartest breed of dogs there is. My old boss had one that literally knew and remembered what time lunch was so as soon as his dog started barking we all knew it was time for lunch. And I swear to God this dog was literally right on time every single day. Lol
Hahaha that’s awesome. They are smart, they fool you with their cute little face but they are definitely smart. Mine LOVES some food haha
I don't know why anyone would buy the unit that will only lift a 35 hp engin when the 135 is onl;y a few dollars more.. makes no sense to me
When I looked at the PT-130 it also required an adapter to use with clamp-on motor mounts for an extra $120. It also has very slightly more setback, probably not an issue but it adds to the center of gravity changes on the boat and the leverage acting on the transom.
Appreciate the video. Gives me some good ideas.
Awesome! Would love to see what you come up with!
What did it cost ?
It was a quick $500 fabricated and installed
Where do you live my cheapest quote has been $1,500😂
I was in Charleston, SC when I got it installed. Also before everything skyrocketed in price, you know how it is now…
Looked like a salmon that's done spawning. If so it's going to die anyway.
This is a red fish, they do not die after spawning. Reds are tough fish, I’ve seen them beat up like this before, missing tails, eyes, etc and still living. He was definitely beat up but dove down strong, no telling what happens, but we gave him a chance.
@@fishmaster797 Cool. No redfish here in Washington state. Are they good to eat?
Yeah for sure, personally don’t eat them that much bc I release most of them but when I do take one home it’s really good. This one was way past the upper limit, a breeder for sure, couldn’t have taken him home even if I wanted.
What size hole did you drill for the switch to mount it?
It’s been awhile but just big enough to slip the toggle through, I’ve since changed it the original because it went bad
@@fishmaster797 Thx
can you tell me where did you buy cmc pt 35 tilt and trim ? please and thanks.
I bought it off Amazon!
👏👏👏👏
great video! that tarpon story was crazy
He was a character! And good captain!
i build poling platforms alot. the best advice id say is leave the boat at the shop and have them build it to the boat. you can find used platforms on FBMP or CL but alot of time they wont be perfect youll have to alot of modifying to make them work. some times its just better to build new from the start. a good fabricator should have it built and welded out in a day maybe 2 tops
Good points man, I left my boat at the shop for the welder to build it, turned out good, I would have a slight mod for next time though
I have one of these in great shape barely used for sale if any of your other friends could use one. Has the toggle switch and all wires in tact. Good install, enjoy it!
Thanks Jeff!
how much $$?
@@Julie-uo8wg $450 plus shipping with all controls and wires. Almost no use on it.
Do you still have this for sale? I’m interested. Just bought a 15’ boat and didn’t realize it only had manual tilt and trim.
@@sugarfreejtb6936 still have that cmc tilt for sale?
Good job,but you really do not discuss where to put it height wise..Did you just mount it where the instructions tell you? Also if it raised motor 3” your anti cavitation plate would be above the bottom of keel..Was it even with keel before installation?
Yeah just followed instructions they give in the box
Reason why you catch them there is your fishing in a restricted area its a 125.00. Fine if your caught fishing the fish ramp ,its posted on that building on top of the hill . Sooo be careful
I am going to take a cue tip and use fiberglass resin as well in the holes so that it soaks into the wood and provides a seal
Great idea! Extra protection is good 👍🏼
Love it
Just curious how much performance you got out of doing this? I just ordered mine and can’t wait to install. Also in curious if you now need to run a motor support when trailering?
Appreciate the comment Josh. It has changed the game as far as performance. I can feel my boat jolt ahead when I trim it out properly. It also just helps because I fish in shallow water so it’s very nice to have the trim do the work rather than me manually doing it. I do run it with a transom saver (even before the trim plate), I’d definitely recommend getting one. Extra protection for your transom is never a bad idea. Thanks again, hope you enjoy your new upgrade man!!
I just ordered me one. Thanks for the video!!!
Awesome man! It’s so worth the money! Thanks for commenting
How about getting the Motor Cowling off , does it come off no problem ?
Yeah man, just have to trim it down and she comes right off!
#goodcontent
Thanks bro
#goodContentgang
Thanks man! Was the waylon part unexpected? Lol
Thanks, just ordered mine
Definitely won’t regret it!
How much did it raise the motor up vertically?
Hey Brett, it’s about 3 inches
@@fishmaster797 appreciate the response 👍
Love the added features in the editing of this one!
The 30 honda doesn't have trim?
My motor did not have it. I do believe they offer it with trim. However, from what I saw, the honda brand tilt/trim was about $900 (maybe it’s lower on other sites) but I got the CMC for about $600. I like the CMC because it acts like a jack plate somewhat as it raised my motor a few inches plus it has the offset. Thanks for commenting!
@@fishmaster797 i see the offset. I rather my inside against the stern. Better reverse. And less turbulated water. But it is a great concept if cheaper and it seems to work quickly. I have an old boat with an 2002 Merc 50. Trim is out and I seen your video. I think its a great alternative to the stock trim. Thank for the cool video.
That silver and black motor, platform and trim all go together very nicely!!
Gotta get the bell on
This
Is it back up yet?? I love going fishing there this time of year planning on going this weekend and that looks like one of my favorite spots
I’m not sure Tim, I need to go back out there to follow up. Yeah I can see that being a great spot when the water is up with all those stumps!!
@@fishmaster797 thanks friend for the info 👍
There a hole in the tail race locks and they drained it so all the rain won’t stress the locks more and it bust
Thank you! I did not know that, appreciate the info
Awesome!
It's so cool that you guys both like doing this and are able to do it together as partners - always a sign of a strong relationship!
Exactly! It’s a great time and I always have a fishing partner!!
Love the content 🤙🏽 cheap and innovative
Yeah man! It’s a sweet rig!

The information in this content is A1
much appreciated brother!
good video i stay here to watch your adventures...chido... compa..🤜🏻🤛🏼
Gracias!!
Love the clip on the line! Nothing better than being able to quickly change your hook/bait!
Looking forward to the next video - love seeing the approaches in practice.
Outstanding keep up the slaying
Now that's some winter time sight fishing!! Tearing them up on artificial doesn't get any better than that!
I like the almost SC shaped spot on the first one - looks like a successful day on the water. Looking forward to the next video
Thank you for the support! I didn’t notice that originally! Great eye!
Love it!
Looks like a beautiful area to fish!
Only you have if had some kind of golden dog to post on here. That would catch me
