Last days in Lake Tahoe
My last days in Tahoe were spent cruising around Emerald Bay, camping at Nevada Beach SP and jumping if the cliffs at Angora Lakes. An awesome finish to an amazing trip!

Primitive Camping in Lake Tahoe!
มุมมอง 6644 ปีที่แล้ว
After a quick hike with my friend, I took off to explore in my own. While on my first hike I saw that there was some primitive camping and trails around a nearby lake. It was a somewhat challenging hike in but sooooo worth it. Spent the days there swimming, painting and traversing the trail around the lake. Marlette Lake is a great little side trip and a nice way to get away from the crowds! I ...

Last Day at Big Bend
มุมมอง 1196 ปีที่แล้ว
A visit to the Rio Grande Village closed out my trip to Big Bend National Park. It was a fascinating area, with a diverse landscape and history. Made a quick stop at the Boquillas Canyon and had a refreshing dip in the cool river before having one last meal at the parks only restaurant. It was a nice break from 7 days of noodles, beef jerky and trail mix! I watched the sun set on my amazing tri...
BIG BEND DAY 3 - A Scenic Drive to Santa Elena Canyon
มุมมอง 2866 ปีที่แล้ว
Day three comprised of several shorter hikes as I drove down the Maxwell Ross scenic Drive. Along with the beautiful views I got to experience many of the parks different geological and ecological features. The Santa Elena Canyon was at the end of the drive and it was a spectacular finish.
BIG BEND NP - Day 2 - West Texas Roadtrip
มุมมอง 2226 ปีที่แล้ว
On day two of my visit to Big Bend National Park I set out on the Lost Mine Trail. This trail is great because you get beautiful views that become more and more spectacular as you gain elevation. Abundant sunshine on this trail so start early! I finished the day watching the meteor shower, it was a perfect day!
West Texas Roadtrip - Surprise, I’m at...
มุมมอง 2736 ปีที่แล้ว
The final stop on my road trip of West Texas was Big Bend National Park. I was astonished at not only the size but the beauty of the place. Navigating the roads was thrilling as I was surrounded by beautiful mountains, a sight so foreign to me as a Houston native. I hit the trails straightaway, I didn’t want to waste a single moment!
West Texas Roadtrip Part 2 - Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center

Before departing the Davis Mountains area, I made a quick visit to the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center. I highly recommend checking it out, it is a great introduction into the unique properties of the Chihuahuan desert. Next Stop, Caprock Canyons SP
มุมมอง 1686 ปีที่แล้ว
The next stop on my tour of north Texas was Caprock Canyons State Park. My main goal was to find somewhere dark to watch the meteor shower but this park had so much more to offer! A variety of wildlife to watch (the prairie dogs were especially entertaining) and the views on the trails were stunning. There were these delicate pockets of gypsum that formed tiny sparkling caves that begged to be ...

      Thank you! Believe it or not, it held up for a long time, with just some frayed edges and a little fading. Sadly some contractors spilled a can of paint on it last year and I tossed it. An ironic demise 😂

    I kind of wonder whether you got cold from beneath. In a hammock you need an under quilt for that. is there a matching under quilt for the tentsile?

    • @bohobushcraft7968
      @bohobushcraft7968 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know that they had insulated sleeping pads that attached on the inside, not sure if they have an under quilt now.

    How long does it take for the glue to dry? I want to try this for work and we are time limited

    • @bohobushcraft7968
      @bohobushcraft7968 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on how thickly you lay it on, I wouldn’t say more than 15 for line work. If you need something faster, you can dye fabric and then mix a little bleach into glue. Then draw the same way. After it reaches desired color, rinse and dry. Results can vary with fabric color but usually it’s a nice surprise. Hope this helps! Have fun!

    How does it smell once dry? Mineral spirits have a nasty odor and I can't imagine camping with something that noxious.

    • @bohobushcraft7968
      @bohobushcraft7968 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The first two weeks the smell was pretty strong. After a month or so it was fairly light though and with time it almost faded completely. If the smell is a concern you may want to try a beeswax recipe instead.

    This is so cool! Paddle boarding is not so big in Aus, I mean we tried it a number of times on a lake and once in the surf but I never really thought of it as a way to explore like you've done here. I'm actually keen as to have another go now. A guy paragliding in my home town was raving about it and we swapped details last summer so I reckon I'll have to hit him up for those lessons he was offering! And like everyone else said, you have such a great voice over voice :) ~ Gin
