What do you mean by sickness? Isn't punishment good for those who sin so they would turn back to God? Why would God put another person's sin, give it to another person, let the person with sin die so the first person sin be forgiven? Why can't God just forgive the sinner if they did no one wrong?

My heart is pounding out of my chest just thinking of how I was so trusting in Love. Brought me down. I know all the things God has done for me. I am grateful.

So true. But beyond that ,lying vanities observation is when we tell lies( against the actual reason in our heart) to justify our reasons for not obeying God to do what he's asking us( like Jonah fleeing to Tarshish and blaming it on the sin of Nineveh/Jerusalem). Whereas his heart has become perverse and desiring the dainties of Tarshish rather than trusting God in the wilderness to do all he commands. The sad truth about lying vanities observation is that you forsake your own mercy. Jonah didn't know God was more mindful of his own soul security than that of Nineveh/Jerusalem( where he had mingled seed) and wanted to give him a covering but he was telling lies ( claiming God doesn't need to be merciful to them for their multitude of sin) whereas ,he felt in his heart that path is not as lucrative as journey of Tarshish( the merchant city that can give him dainties), but Nineveh/ Jerusalem was to become the new sought after which God wanted him to be part and delivered from the judgment coming to Tarshish where their ships will soon be broken. He loved the men of Tarshish than to trust in the Lord. So,in the last days,God finds Jonah already left his place and enjoying the Journey of Tarshish and he comes to bring him out from among them,but again he begins to ask for signs and afraid to trust and go to the wilderness ( where we solely trust in God alone). Therefore, only the signs of Jonah will be shown them as proof the Lord is calling them out to Jerusalem because he's about to Judge Tarshish. When God Jonah was complaining against God and he raised an Oak tree over his head and afterwards made it dry up,he was simply telling him he cannot be saved without a covering from where he's running from. If the covering dies,he's naked and can also be scorched to death. We only find happiness in total submission to the will of God even when we don't know all the story. So,when Satan begins to make us observe lies ( complaining about where God sent us) for the lusts in our heart, its because he wants to deceive us from obtaining mercy and favour from God,knowing God can immediately replace us and send another, but only showing us mercy by insisting we do it for our mercy. Satan cannot deceive those who have nothing that belong to him. If we entertain lust in our heart for vanities,he can use that to deceive us out of the will of God and we will be thinking we are playing smarter than God. EZEKIEL 27:12,25 12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs. 25 The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas. JEREMIAH 10:9In the BibleVerse Meaning 9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men. Those who long to please God do not put their trust in MEN nor in the arm of flesh, let alone boasting for abundance of them around him. Even Jesus and Abraham that had loyal men around him didn't put trust in them when it was time to do the will of God. He told them in advance they will all forsake him,while Abraham cut off from his men when he was going to sacrifice Isaac because he didn't want any distraction to stop him. Jeremiah 17 said,cursed( limited) is any that put trust in man nor trust in arm of flesh). Israel often desert God when he calls them into the wilderness, because the are mindful of provision and lack faith despite all God had done in time past. They want to flee to Tarshish ( city of merchants) whereas God commands Tarshish to submit to Solomon that pursued first the kingdom and trusted in God. Psalm 78:17-22 17 And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. 18 And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust. 19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? 20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? 21 Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; 22 Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation: Psalm 72:10 May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts. ISAIAH 60:9In the BibleVerse Meaning 9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. 14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste Jonah the prophet,stop deceiving yourself with lying vanities trying to steal away your mercy and submit to the will of God. God has no plan B with you. All roadust lead to Jerusalem( that great city). God's love for you is more than Tarshish can ever give. Tarshish road is now a falling shares to invest in. Stop hiding from God's presence,whereas you can't run from him. Jonah cannot join himself to new Jerusalem and be fleeing at the same time. To where does he flee to,except he cut off himself also from God's presence so he cannot be seen again. Jonah,return. As God did not leave Jonah,so shall Jerusalem not let you go,as long as you are joined together.

Work is evidence of Faith - same way that current is evidence of voltage. Work is the thumbprint of Faith because it is faith in action. This is my understanding of James's 'faith without works is dead. Faith is the driver of good works.

Thanks. My little sister has a tumor in her arm, and I know that God has promised to save all of us. I think of Shadrack Meshack and Abednego, and how they said, "If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up." I know that God doesn't even have to raise his right hand, and at a mere glance my sister will be made completely well, but even if he doesn't, I know that he will deliver her soul to perfect peace and life in him. When someone asks me how I know this I can explain my faith in Jesus, and yes, I do have a reason to fully trust everything in Scripture and the promises of God because of the man Jesus Christ. I only have faith because of Jesus Christ and the evidence I accept in that man's life and death and resurrection, because it was made known from ages of old-he is the image of the invisible God. My testimony is not only past events, my testimony is my life, past, present, and future. I will walk and testify of his greatness every day. If you are willing, please pray for my sister.
