E. Honda's DIRTIEST Gimmick? | Meaty Power Stomp
In this guide, learn how to perform E. Honda’s meaty Power Stomp (3HK) setup. We cover why it works, how to land it, show what little counterplay is available, how to follow it up, and some secret tech at the end.
A more comprehensive set of setups are here, thanks to Freeser: FreeserFGC/status/1749444121197240772?t=Fekqsp4Mz7kSI8c_LhfitQ&s=19
If you're reading this far, I've been trying some new things in the video. Let me know of what you think of the side-by-side for showing what stomp beats, or the graphics for the inputs for the setup. Still not certain how I feel about those.

มุมมอง 2.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a guide for Nagoriyuki’s 6H OTG okizeme setup - one of the simplest and most effective beginner setups one can use. We’ll learn how it works, how to combo into it, some combo theory, executional nuances, and the best ways to follow it up to lock down the opponent’s options and break down their defenses with this two-headed mix-up. Ranking EVERY Anji Corner Throw OTG Setup
มุมมอง 3.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
What do we do when corner throw Shitsu doesn't work? In this guide, I assign a rating of Useful, Situational, or Avoid to every single meterless corner throw OTG setup I can think that Anji Mito can do, taking into account their consistency, their wake-up coverage, and the ability to perform a strike-throw mix-up afterward if they get blocked. We'll also talk a little about purposefully being i...
Anji Mito's Spin DEMYSTIFIED
มุมมอง 3.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Suigetsu no Hakobi (236K), also known as spin, is perhaps the most difficult move to use effectively as an Anji player. It’s an unorthodox, high-risk high-reward tool, and using it optimally requires both the ability to make great reads on the opponent and intimate knowledge of active frame and recovery frame data for autoguard punishment - information that is generally not used for other chara...
[GGST] Day One Baiken Combo Reference (Notations Included) | Tether and Tatami Combo Theory
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Apologies to my viewers who've been conditioned to expect highly scripted and edited content from me. I promise I'll have something fancier for you next time, and I may even re-make this video in a nicer way once I've learned more. I've been playing Baiken all day and I've been having such a blast that I had to share a quick guide on what I've learned about her combos so far. Follow me on Twitt...
How to Create an UNSTOPPABLE Offense
มุมมอง 2.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Why is it that sometimes we completely run over the opponent and other times we can never land a hit? It’s probably because our offensive isn’t as intentional as we think it is, and we’re not tailoring the way we play to what our opponent is showing us. In this guide for beginners, I want to teach you about the Sols, the aggressive bulldogs, and the Kys, the defensive turtles, and the four tool...
Where is Fujin's True Mix-Up? (Outdated)
มุมมอง 4.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This guide on Fujin (or 236H) covers some common misconceptions that both beginner Anji players and those who play against Anji have about its “mix-up”. We go through each of the follow-ups’ basic usages, how to interrupt or fuzzy guard Fujin, and attempt to discover how to actually turn its usage into a mix-up whose scales are better tilted in Anji’s favour. Up to date as of Patch v1.1. Follow...
The ENIGMA of Anji Mito's 6H
มุมมอง 4.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I thought it would be very amusing to make a guide about one of Anji’s least used moves and try to find uses for it without purposefully playing inefficiently. Turns out I was right; it was fun. I’ve also concluded 5P is probably Anji’s actual worst move. In this video, we go over four categories of situations in which you might use 6H and figure out which ones have merit and which ones don’t. ...

This still works in season 2 with him? Any new updates for season 2?
Yep! Still works! Now the stomp after buttslam is guaranteed midscreen.
It s not just the info on this video thats great but the editing and how you put it together, very useful for reference. Thanks!
Great video
amazing guide dude.
Except JP. never do this against JP. You know why.
Such a powerful technique, you had to choke back tears in your delivery
This is an excellent guide. Please do more Honda videos!
man i hate honda, he his incredible
A true filthy Honda main 😂
I miss your guides :(
Hey, I appreciate you! Just haven't had much motivation in the last half a year or so. I'm mostly playing Street Fighter these days though and I'm on vacation for a couple weeks so hopefully I can get something out!
@@NewMillenniumYT Oh shoot, no worries at all man! Sorry to pressure, take your time ^^ Glad to hear you’re doing well!
Rest in peace OTG 6H. You will be truly missed
Is it gone?
Kinda was expecting to explain wtf he invokes a buttlerfly that transform into a birb, but this is nice too
Insanely well made guide!
every single one of your guides is outstanding. you do not miss.
Thank you for making this
as someone getting into the game, and quickly settling into Nago, this guide has been immensely helpful in increasing my ability to string, cheers to you dude<3
This is amazing, exactly what I needed. I naturally used 6H otg to save on blood alot, but I never knew how to follow it up correctly. Dustloop wiki is great but this video makes it super clear how to capitalize on it. And thanks for pointing out I should use 6H when they hit the ground after 2H counter hit! I was wondering why I always seemed to whiff on that after using it as I thought it was a great follow up but never could pull it off.
Absolutely exquisite guide. I didn’t realise what I was missing out on with nago until I watched this!
amazing super high quality video ty

What the heck, so you WERE that lvl. 50-something nago I met in tower - I was so sure it was just a coincidence that they had the same name as The Anji Guy
Yessir - I'm not actually any good at this game. I just like teaching and breaking down minutae of techniques :)
I don’t play this MF but I love videos like this.
pretty good guide, maybe there could be a more advanced section on the follow ups, to cover fuzzy jumping etc
7:00 that explains alot. Thanks
Testament next?
Damn nice video
Can you do one for Sol or Baiken?
Very good guide! You explain things very well! Wish you had Ky guides :’(
Great video
funnily enough I started playing nago instead of anji a bit ago so seeing you making nago content is great. Especially since 6H otg is probably the thing I'm using the least. One question tho, since nago can wallbreak from a lot of hits, especially on low blood, would you say it's worth it to go for this instead of a wallbreak ?
Yeah definitely a good one, and I don't think there's a straight up better answer. Positive bonus in this game is really strong - especially so if you can break the wall with the super and get a blood reduction and start the next screen with a hard knockdown and the meter chugging. Personally I would think that this is generally a better deal than the 6H OTG. Of course, if breaking the wall will kill, we should go for that too. So I think the question is really - if the wall break won't kill and we can't break it with super, is it worth it to get a mix instead of the positive bonus? This one is the hardest to answer, because I think it's up to whether you think you can win in a neutral situation with bonus meter (in which case you would break) or if you think getting another knockdown like this will be difficult (in which case you wouldn't break). Sorry I can't give you a concrete answer for all situations, but hopefully this helps somewhat.
@@NewMillenniumYT this does help. I'll probably just stick to the 6h otg unless it's a matchup with easy neutral or I have enough meter.
NEW NEW MILLENNIUM POST HELL YES AND ITS FOR MY MAIN FUCK YES
I definitely still prefer to cancel Shizuriyuki into Fukyo>c.S>6H. The airborne 6H hit cancel actually gives you many more options for oki at the cost of having to manually time your c.S oki should you choose to go for it. Namely, the air 6H knockdown should allow you to use 6H and 5H as meatier that naturally beat most backdashes. Lastly, although slower 5H can combo on hit when used to punish backdashes and so is often much better than using 6H under some circumstances.
Great points. More frame advantage is usually better and I'm glad you brought this up. The airborne 6H hit is for sure not a "worse" situation than the 6H OTG hit. But I think for people who are just learning how this works, introducing manual timings means more user error and less consistency. I'm a big believer in teaching tactics that are consistent at the cost of being lower reward - once you're good enough to want to practice manual timings, you probably don't need me anymore 😂
@@NewMillenniumYT fair enough, thanks for the time.
I don't play nago. Sometimes nago makes me mald (I play I-NO) but it's useful learning what y'all are thinking through when I'm being comboed to oblivion haha. Great vid brother!!
Thank you! As long as it was educational and entertaining, that's good enough for me :)
Amazing guide!!
Love how deep but straight forward your guides are. I hope you find more stuff you feel inclined to make videos on!
Babe wake up new New Millennium video
I was used to and mistakenly expecting the standard "use these combos" video that doesn't explain why or when. Approaching the video from the game plan and how your combos play into them is *chef's kiss* Thank you.
These videos are great! You thoroughly explain the different concepts and theory behind playing Anji. As a beginner into fighting games, the breakdowns are so useful. Content aside, the production and effort behind the videos are also amazing. I would love to see more from you -- Anji or not!
I wouldn’t say I’m a beginner to this game but I just picked up anji and I’m glad I watched this is a good video!
Just started Guilty Gear Strive after playing zero fighting games (except smash when I was a kid) and picked up Anji right away. This was a really helpful introduction on the theory side of things - I hate mashing buttons with no game plan but I didn't know what else to do until now.
They made fuujin a mixup now 😳
As someone who's looking to try Strive again for the latest patch after having put a decent amount of time with Anji, it's incredible to see how you've managed to make a video built around explaining the main gameplan of the char while still hinting at combos. Short essay that gets the point across really well for people who want to get started with Anji, kudos to you.
your videos are amazing for Anji mains, are you going to cover new strat/tech/combos for Anji's 2.0 changes?
Likely! Though don't get your hopes up for too soon - I generally like to feel confident that my information is reasonably up to date and won't be outdated too quickly before I make videos on it.
@@NewMillenniumYT I get it, your content is amazing! unfortunately the changes made Anji extremely un-fun for me so I'll be taking a break from strive, but I'll DEFINITELY keep supporting and learning from your channel!
@@TheKojoShow Thanks for the support!
Millenium comeback with anji patch notes perspective 🥲🥲🥲
Hahaha probably won't do one on just my perspective! My perspective is a pretty personal thing, you can see those thoughts on my Twitter. I try to keep the info in my videos as objective as I can.
I've been wondering about j.D. It seems like the way it halts your momentum would be good for cross-up shenanigans or baiting whiffs but I haven't been able to find a practical use for it. I'm curious if there's some uses for that aren't obvious and if there are, would you be interested in doing a video on it?
I haven't seen enough good ideas for it to consider making a video on it, honestly. The primary usage I've found for it is to try to bait out anti-airs and then punish on the way down (similar to any momentum-stopping air special like Ky's j.D), but j.D itself is quite slow and has enough recovery on it that you can be punished for it if you're just using it to air stall or bait whiffs without thinking about it. Other than that, I haven't really seen any useful setups with it - largely because it doesn't have any forward momentum like May's j.D which limits its usefulness imo - but I'll continue to keep an eye out.
You are amazing! Thank you so much for all your videos! 🙏 Looking forward to some S2 videos in the future!
Just came to say I've been keeping what this vid and many others of yours in mind while labbing my Anji and it's been an amazing help. Hearing 2H was a combo tool was such an eye opener and I never would've thought to look for Kou loops and after knowing what my combos are, I know to put myself in a position to threaten them again.
Excelentes videos, gracias por el análisis y la calidad.
How did you actually manage to make Shitsu > 5D gapless? I can't get it to work in training mode (Sol keeps 5King before it), and it doesn't make sense looking at the frame data either (if I'm reading it right, midscreen throw > Shitsu is exactly +20, there's not enough time to fit in a microdash).
I'm trying it again as well and it's totally possible I had mis-labbed this. These days, 2K 2D is all I ever use if I want a true block string for some reason (which is rare). If you want a meterless combo off 5D I'd learn the dash 5D timing, and if you want one where the opponent can't just mash immediately after Shitsu(1) I'd do either 5K 5D or 2K 5D. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll add that into the description.
