I love that it's a print and play and the art looks very cute. I was wondering your thoughts on replayability since the downgeon remains the same every time? I noticed that the campaign has extra maps which definitely helps with that.

An answer I haven’t found yet: do I have to mark ropes and camps as I’m playing, or can i do that at the end to figure out how to maximize score?

Could you play this with hex-based movement just by converting inches to hexes? Obviously you'd need a big hex map from some other source.

Thank you for reviewing Shake That City 🙂 One small tip: The white insert is actually only meant for safe shipping, so not meant for storage (but it looks so much like it, especially since the shaker fits into the middle). If you take it out, there's lots of room for everything! 🙂

that is a reasonable review. as a long time battletech player, I can understand your points. at $25, you get 2 mini's ($6 each). that's half the value of the contents. part of the reason they include the card stock mechs, is to show that the game is mini's agnostic. you just need something to represent the mech and its forward facing. regarding the rules (missing rules). the box set is to show the concept of play. thus, you get the mech sheets, how to move and how to shoot. very basic! to keep it simple, the did not include rules for heat build up / dissipation or critical locations. these two aspects are important to the game, but not necessary for a basic example of play. this is to entice new players to step up and purchase the "A game of armored combat" box, which comes in at a higher price. the box does cost $60, it includes 8 mechs, a $48 value plus the rules and some extras.

Nice review and unboxing. I suppose its a cooler version of the Patchwork we know. As I dont own the game at the moment, wondering if Patchwork American edition can be in my shelf.
