@@CresquinPlays That mouse over hint would be nice! but it is a common mistake in games (like CoD or battlefield) that the belgian Flag is used as a german flag. I was more amused as furious about that :D

Yep, eventually the recordings won’t have music (I figured it out after this was filmed). This was recorded from a live stream and I didn’t know how to record commentary and music separately at the time so I can’t go back and take it out now.

Well, I’ve got about a 200 hour backlog. I think that means that if I post one game a day, I should already have enough to run through July 😁 I’m glad I get to keep you company while you’re down.

That’s the same reason I don’t really like NA for the early game, unless you can get it really fast. I feel like more often than Africa the SA player wants to be greedy and moves up to block NA, then either both die or the NA player just goes with no bonus for 20 turns or more.

@@CresquinPlays That happens a lot, I try to give them a path through and hope they just go through me into Asia but they rarely do that, usually they just take a card on you then fortify back into their bonus and break you every turn.

Thank you! 7 hours is about average for my streams. I’ve gone as long at 14 hours on twitch. It’s pretty easy when I’ve got some friends to hang out with in chat and a board game to occupy my attention ☺️

It's a new channel and we've got to start somewhere! I'm dedicated to filling this channel with a lot of great games. I think I have enough already recorded that if I post one a day, its enough to last to the end of summer. The vids that are up now are from last May, before I made GM.

The math is pretty interesting. If I can get 1000 videos up, and generate an average of $0.25 per video per day, it works out to $91k a year. Also, at the rate of posting one video per day that will take 3 years😶‍🌫️

@@CresquinPlays Hey, a 3 year investment of passive time to end up with a $90k return p/a (plus compounding growth in the 3 years) is a pretty solid investment which has returns in perpetuity. Man, I should find something I can work on….

looking back, I think my thought process was that red had been very passive all game, and that blue would probably not allow me to hold NA, and that if I waited, I would only become even weaker relative to red. he had more total troops, but they were spread out and my stack was big enough that his stack wouldn’t be able to kill me, immediately. would I make the same move today? I probably wouldn’t, and I’d have retreated to AUS myself while the two of them decided whether they could find an acceptable balanced position between them, which I doubt, now. IIRC I was ranked expert when this game was played.

@@DougSmith-o3j GG! I was surprised by both plays. After red went for yellow I was sure green was coming for me. Could have got me. If he hadn’t gone for red I was definitely going for green for the same reason.
