Bondye Bon // Ace Upholstery
Paul Gaston was born in Haiti where he learned the family craft, upholstery. For the past 50+ years he has been passionately bringing life back to furniture others have discarded, forgetting the hidden beauty found in the bones of the wood. His love of the artful work or refinishing these forgotten pieces has him as active as ever at 68 years old with no end in sight. In only a few days visiting Paul at his shop in Atlanta, Ace Upholstery, I began to understand his amazing story, his desire to pass along the craft to another generation, and how much love he shares with every customer that walks through his doors.
Bondye bon is a Haitian proverb meaning God is good.

He is dead sorry for that
Does anyone have any current contact information for Josh Starks? I would love to sit and talk to him.
My hero from 1984 and 1985. I'll never forget that 31 yard TD run against Georgia. Go Jackets!
I did this work for almost 5 years up until not too long ago. Anyone working in this field sees the funding is dwindling away if not GONE. All the money our government hands out to illegals and unambitious able-bodied workers should be going to our elderly and DD folks. Where is the fight for them? Why do we fight for gays and minority groups, but not those who are unable to help themselves? America is going bye bye, folks...
Well said. We are proud to stand alongside you in the work of supporting people with developmental disabilities.
I fell in love with musicals watching actor Tom Key in Dallas, Texas during the run of Cotton Patch Gospel. I had the privilege of seeing the performance 3 times at the ripe age of 15?! Michael Mark was who I aspired to sound like...is that wrong? I swore to sing Momma is Here to my babies, and I did. I then followed Tom Key's acting to see Pilgrim's Progress shortly after. Then I joined an acting class and performed a female duet version of CPG and make it to semifinals in our first ever acting competition, Glad to see you are still a force of nature on the stage and behind it as well. My career has only taken me to the Tampa Bay performing arts center to sing solo on Music of the Night backing up the Paramonov's dance performance. I now sing with Brylcream, a little dab of doo-wop. Love to meet you some day.
