the conversions dont account for how good a swimmers turns and under waters are. they are an approximation. look up the world record for the 200m freestyle to yards. its like 128 and thats not realistic

Tall guys tend to dominate everything. Also, 6 ft is by no stretch of the imagination short. Lochte is only 6'2" and Tyler Clary is only 6'1".
The audio isn't synched quite right.
Those time conversions are iffy at best. It's probably pretty accurate for a 25yd pool because he'd still have four walls, but he's obviously tightening up over the last 10-12m. There's no way he's ever going 46.2 in long course.

in case you did not know , leveaux is 6 ft 8 and a half
thats absolutely disgustingly good.... 100m free at the world level and he's up by 1/3 to half a body just off the start alone and he makes it bigger with each turn by staying in the streamline longer. epic epic epic swim
yeah that is why your swim coach always told you to keep you streamline. YOU NEED TO GET A GOOD GLIDE TO GO FAST!!!!!!
it is the new undulation that gives Amaury the edge over other swimmers. Notice after every turn , after undulation , he emerges further away from the rest of the pack
