Watch via:
Apple TV+: Here. tv.apple.com/us/movie/being-robin/umc.cmc.4x5adty94qozvzb7nm0m85t35?ctx_at=6
SYNOPSIS
A man (Roger Kabler) believes he is visited by the spirit of Robin Williams. Whether he is truly at the center of spiritual event or he is delusional, he mounts an hysterical and touching stage tribute to Robin which becomes a hit around America. No actual images or vocals of Robin Williams were used in this film. Based on true events.
CONVERSATION
Amy Prenner from the Prenner Group came through with a really interesting project. ‘Being Robin’ is written & directed by Roger Kabler and is the story of how he was affected by the death of Robin Williams, and came to believe he was in a symbiotic partnership with the legendary comedian / actor.
It’s a difficult thing to comprehend, a person being super imposed with someone else’s essence. So this was a complex conversation and Roger was down for it all.
Roger was extremely open about everything that happened to him and how he captured it for the film, and why he decided to tell the story in the first place.
We got into the emotional impact, the toll on other relationships, and mental health.
Roger talked about the feeling of handing over control of his body. And the reaction he’s received from fans of Williams, and the fact that he has no intention of upsetting Williams family.
It’s a complicated situation when you factor in all the mitigating circumstances, is this a documentary about man who has been spiritually visited by Robin Williams, OR, is Williams the manifestation of an emotional shield to help navigate life???
This was a really interesting and fascinating chat, thanks to Roger’s openness. Now, the question is, what do you!?! Watch 📺 the conversation: HERE! th-cam.com/video/PbJZJTtw9pU/w-d-xo.html

LETS GOO KAILEM LETS GOO
Kevin Scott its a big area to swim in you have no chance of swimming into people!!! nudity is natural, wearing cloths isnt we wear clothes because of the weather and protection>>> it is no way sexual its actually easier to swim nude you can get dressed quicker in winter, swimming nude is freedom you are connected to nature>>>> the hill Kevin its steep its rough I am 72 and still climbing it >>> you try it lol all of it
I watched Handshake yesterday and was very impressed with the style, originality and unpredictable humor and pathos. To write, produce, direct and star in such a production is really something. I think the final image is brilliant, the prisoner meticulously tying flies only to drop them in his prison toilet. Bravo dude.
This is borderline experimental.
It was highly experimental as well
"racist critics" bro no one even knows who you are how can they know your race lmao
You don't know me, the higher ups in Hollywood know me very well, agencies, ah ets all know me, I was the first person to write about the deep Web and Bitcoin in Hollywood in 2010
Terrible movie
that going to be good
Mel Gibson with a Beretta again!
LOVE 50CENTS
Is this like that Denzel movie that came out during the pandemic I can't remember what it's called but on the same storyline.
The Little Things? Looks like there are similarities. Older and wiser man leading the search for a serial killer, that probably had a stronger cast than this though?
The little things was actually kinda dope though lol
Great video ! I hope to see more of this on my feed !😅😊
Thank you, much appreciated! K:)
Looks interesting
Naa fif this ain't it😂.. Most rappers should stick to music. Why he looking so old here, anyways this is bad acting just from the trailer in my opinion, it doesn't give the audience the desire to go watch the movie
Wait!... This is not real right😂😂😂
I am down.
You know when 50 is the best actor in the movie, its a bad movie!
Trying to say 50 is better actor than fuckin Mel ‘braveheart’ Gibson 😂
👍
Fif wtf is this lol
I know I'm late but I was one of those people who found the movie just by scrolling through international lgbtq+ films on netflix, and I absolutely loved it. One of my favorite movies; it balanced comedy and a gripping plot super well. And the dialogue script felt so natural! I showed this movie to my transmasc friend and he also loved to see some wholesome and lighthearted trans representation. And as an Indian queer person I loved seeing a supportive Indian dad. The fact that it was produced by Gabe and his dad as a fun quarantine project makes it all the more wholesome. Phenomenal job to everyone involved, and thanks for this interview! I hope this movie continues to get more recognition :)
Hey Dien, Thanks for checking out the conversation, and glad you enjoyed the movie. Best wishes, K:)
50 cannot act
He’s great @ acting like he gives a fuQ what U think
You cannot think.
Mel.Gibson different and like it
This move is horrible and I mean absolutely 100% horrible!!!
Was that Jeffrey Dahmer's mug shot they used?
This is based on true events.. supposedly.
And Richard ramirez mugg too
Yes, this man is actually making a wholehearted attempt to act. As another character. And another type of story??? I am so intrigued now.
An. 50cent learn to change up his cadence when portraying another character other than himself …
is this real? 😂
😂😂😂
I think Robert L. Shupe's best work was Deadface
Hey man, Did you enjoy 'Handshake' though? K:)
@@podcaphilianetwork101 I've only seen the trailer which I liked. Shupe has come a long way since our days back in film school. He's a bonafide indie filmmaker now, I'm proud of him so will probably buy the film digitally to support him. Thanks for supporting independent filmmakers!
Thanks for the review man. Have a great day 👌
Hey :) Thanks for watching, much appreciated. K:)

The worst movie I’ve ever seen. Obviously no budget for “talent” they should be embarrassed
Would love to see this on the big screen !!! Sounds incredible

Hello Elliott, Thank you for watching, hope you enjoyed the film, and caught up with Mahesh. K:)
what an interesting interview! It was great insight in her process and some behind the scenes. I would have loved to hear more about her working with her daughter as her daughter while still being mom/actor/director/writer on set.
Hello Mark, Thanks for checking out the episode. Karyna was great to talk too. K:)
@@podcaphilianetwork101 my pleasure. I saw the movie and was looking into more information about the film and came across your interview!
Hello Kevin !!! I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate your movie documenting. Your storytelling skills and attention to detail really shine through in your films. It's amazing how you capture the essence of the characters and bring their stories to life on the screen. Your dedication to your craft is truly inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future! Perchance, i have to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to tell you that you should maybe start ASMR you would reach a bigger audience with your calming and soothing voice ! Best regards Charles David

Nice interview! William seems to be such a good person with interesting reflexions about his expiriences and work. Thanks for sharing this conversation :)
Hey Sammy, Thanks for checking out the piece, glad you enjoyed it. K:)
Great interview! So great to hear Roberts insights on filmmaking
Hey Onnoleigh, Thanks for checking it out! It was a really good film!!! K:)
Free Julian Assange! Everything that has been done to him (and to his family) by Sweden, the UK & the US has been criminal and horrible. He might die in Belmarsh if they don't free him soon, and if he doesn't die there but gets in US custody he'll die. Julian is a brave, ethical and internationally honored journalist who should be someplace where he and his family can be safe. It's sad that Daniel Ellsberg & John Pilger didn't live to see Julian freed - they both worked so hard for that.
Have a good day 🤗
REBECCA FERGUSON'S ILSA FAUST CHARACTER THAT WE LOVED , ADMIRED AND CARED FOR MANY YEARS IS BEING KILLED OFF LIKE A CHICKEN AND BECOMING A CORPSE ON THE VENICE BRIDGE , THAT ALL I WANT TO SAY ABOUT THIS FILM 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞💔💔💔💔💔
Based
Although it’s a long interview but it’s an engaging and insightful chat not only about the film, which is a good one and I recommend to catch it when it comes near you, but also about life and the society that we live in.
