Picked up my fire poi's again (for the first time in many years) to be a part of the cermony for Bure festival 10 year anniversary. I have been a part of this festival for ten years now, building stages, connecting sound, DJ'ing and some fire arts. But now its time to make a grand final and then the poi's got picked up again! Pimpeltävling i Dacksjötjärnen, Liden 2014-03-15 Rödingarna är på G! vårt team kom 1a och 2a i tävlingen och det får väl ses som succé på ca 300 tävlande! Mycket bra arrangemang precis som vanligt av Lidens Nedre FVO.

Vi sitter ankrade längst upp på gränsen mellan zon2 och zon1. Vi fiskar med ca 40-60g vikter och agnar med laxrom, flödet låg på ca 250 kubik. Jimmy krokar en fin!

Going Orbital in Thailand

A three week vacation in Thailand and 0,75 litres of quality lamp oil smuggled all ther way from Sweden (the stuff they used there smelled like disel/gasoline?) resulted in three drunken Poi sessions on three diffrent beaches. Ended up doing alot of orbitals and enjoying myself. Nothing too techy or even really clean moves - just me enjoying myself. I hope you do too watching

@nixon8991 tack för titten och kommentaren :) Min lärare och mentor har alltid varit "meenik" här på youtube. Han lägger ut klockrena tutorials på allehanda moves, jag valde länge mellan hans lektioner vad jag var sugen på att lära mig härnäst. Hans videps är det jag verkligen rekommenderar! Gratulerar till en hobby som garanterat följer dig genom livet! Må bäst.
Tjena, Polare som tipsade om poi och jag har nu lekt runt med dom i ett par 3 veckor och tycker det är jäkligt roligt. Blev, om möjligt, mera inspirerad av denna video. Har du några bra förslag på olika bra bas moves och vad dom heter (för att kunna hitta tuts på tuben) åt en ännu inte så insatt nybörjare. Har lärt mig några basic 180 graders turns, 3 beat weave och the butterflie. Men vill lära mig mera. Tack för en bra video!

@KarunaCompassion thanks! the "tangles" is generally called orbitals, or some time hyperloops, there is pretty good tutorials on them on youtube. It took some time but once you get the feel for it they are pretty simple and really funny to play with :) My standard move today because i enjoy them so much ^^

Happy birthday and nice spinning man! Beautiful location. I like your control and I also agree with those above, very nice use of the orbital! I've only just recently seen someone do them horizontally like that. It was a group performance at the Japan Fire Festival 09. I think it was the first place finisher.

Thanks for commenting, and yeap, your critique is spot on. This is basicly just a rundown of the skillset i had at that specific time. Im working on the flow and a more personal style, i feel ive reached the skill point where i can skip going through the tech learning and can focus on transitions and smoothness :) Thanks for commenting!
Yeah, ive never seen anyone do that orbital either, but it was not that complicated to learn either.
