The Subaru Ascent interior is really quite nice. However, i dont like the exterior as much. I love the refreshed 3rd gen Highlander, and was my dream midsized crossover suv when i first saw it on the Toyota website back in 2016/2017. Toward the end of 2024, i saw that Walser Toyota posted for sale a 2017 Highlander XLE AWD V6 in Shoreline Blue Pearl w/ Black interior. Had only 75,010 miles, and as of writing this comment, Highlander has around 75,500 miles - so, wife and i have only put on around 500 miles within a months timeframe. 😄 Anyways. I finally took it on highway for a 20 min drive and drove conservatively; i averaged 33 mpg! Absolutely amazing vehicle. I plan to baby this Highlander so that it can serve my children as well when they become adults. 😄

Brought home our 2024 Wilderness Forester last week. It is a brilliant vehicle. I traded my 2011 Forester and WOW what a difference.

It's crazy that the higher-end Limited doesn't get the moonroof as standard.

but how can we stop the wireless connection, so that the AA will only work over USB?

Less than two months ago, we purchased the Touring edition, beware of the range estimate on a 7° day highway driving between 65 and 70 mph. The range was 134 miles at -7°F. The same trip return home. The range is 94 miles. Both started from 100% charge stored outside.

You didn’t even mention the sound system

Just purchased my first Subaru….a 2025 Outback Wilderness. I’ve owned several luxury brands previous. So far I’m really liking it a lot. And I’ve already added raptor grill lights, more tint, a dedicated 12” powered subwoofer, window deflectors, Thule cross bars, carbon fiber style interior trim. Soon a Thule roof box, one inch spacers and more aggressive AT tires. I compared a few other brands. Very glad I went with the Outback Wilderness.

Just got my 2025 XT today and let me just say, it’s amazing. Thanks for the review! I even learned a thing or two that I hadn’t learned yet. Upgrading from an old beater to this beautiful machine felt incredible!

I’ve leased a SOLTERRA for three months. I love almost every aspect of it. I agree with this review review. The only downside is the drop off in range when is the temperatures drop . I’ve lost about 1/3 my range when temperatures are in the 20s.

I'm likely going to buy the 2025 Premium when my local dealer has them in stock. I was considering the CX-30 but the smaller gas tank and more limited visibility is pushing me towards the Crosstrek.

Mite be interested , let me know when Subaru does something about the trans issues

Come on Subaru!! Throw in a heated steering wheel option on your best seller please. It is not like I am asking for a limited edition STI 270 HP 6 speed manual transmission version Crosstrek or something like that. It is just a heated steering wheel option.

Can't display picture/image in USB drive on the infotainment system (e boxer 4.0 version), unlike the one I had at Mitsubishi Outlander.

just bought a 2024 crosstek. and it shows my bluetooth isconnected on my phone but phone screen not showing on car 11inch display?? cant find it, i know its connected bec GPS is giving direciton thru car speakers and under my deivce ( that little phone you clicked on the bottom right of display) shows its is toggled to connected, but cant find how to get my phone to display. i even went into "APPS" but the car paly is greyed out. also i tired the other day to by pass blue tooth and toggled "car play" instead and i liked that alot bec it had an ICON APP "carplay" and could just click that when want carplay, but now today i can get that inco app to come up so went back to blue tooth

I agree about adaptive cruise. I could never buy a car without it now. I just makes road trips so much more relaxing

Low profile tires should not be standard on any "off-road" capable vehicle.

Continuing to not offer seat memory at any trim level is not only a head scratcher, but has prevented us from buying one.

Other than a new color did they change anything on the vehicle for 2025? I do wish Subaru would add something to make the Limited stand out more. It’s too subtle. But maybe that’s what they’re going for. But it’s hard to tell from a Premium to a Limited if you don’t know it look for the tiny charcoal trim pieces.

Wish they would make sunroof optional and leather seats. Not all of us like this and is why we choose the Premium instead!
