It's a cool sound, but it's all inhale screams - they'll ultimately damage his voice (your vocal chords aren't meant to move back in on themselves...). So he'll end up with inflamation, nodules, etc. and it'll impact his ability to sing those beloved crazy high belted notes he hits so easily. If you check out their older stuff like Butterfly EP, you'll hear that jacob can actually hit good healthy screams. So it's a bittersweet shame to see him move this direction with his voice, because it wont be able to last long.

Yeah I’d agree. I do enjoy Viper Room but Obsession is better out of the two.

@ Yup I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the setlist. It was just TDP and Heroine, with the newer songs added. No Reptile, Parasite, Limbo, etc. Only played 11 songs or so.

They only did a 25 min set in March, 45 is still lame but can’t wait for them later in brum

Jacob really is an incredible vocalist, mad to think he wasn’t originally meant to be the singer of the band!

His progress is absolutely stellar big up to him. I remember watching some TDP era performances which were less than ideal but these days he sounds absolutely fantastic. Legends

And also he's doing Inhale & Exhale. So i think he improves a lot with his inhale

Yup I thought this too, he was very lazy with the vocals and would at sometimes just talk the vocals into the mic. Probably exhausted but it’s sad to see.

Yeah, sam's high vocals are sounding rough, the lows are fine. Im seeing them in may, so hopefully by then he'll improve his technique again.

Sam’s vocals were good but a lot of the time he wouldn’t scream the vocals and would ‘talk’ them into the mic instead, is this what you mean?

Sad but true. Go watch my recording of Gravedigger, he basically talks the lyrics now, it doesn’t feel the same when Sam doesn’t scream.

@@WelcomeToMANTRA I felt the same last January when I saw them live and he performed Royal Beggars. The screaming sounded so off and he barely sang half the song. I get it, some fans really dislike their last few albums but for me, especially after I saw them live, the new direction made so much sense
