Depending upon your situation, you may want to establish a business like a mini grocery or the like to invite additional money to the household to help defray some expenses. Anything that adds to the budget, aside from your vlogging could help.

A friend asked me to view your video and comment. An expat can get by on $1,300 monthly. This is enough to exist, but little money is remaining for any type of cushion or emergency. Monthly rent, annual healthcare expenses, and dental checkups, i.e., female partner mammograms and OBGYN expenses, doctors, dental maintenance, annual checkups, cleaning, etc., were not mentioned in your video. What about medical insurance and the emergency fund? I mention this because I have spent more than half my adult life, spanning 44 years since 1980, living, working, and investing in the Philippines. Over the past four decades, I have known many expats to pass on long before their time because they lacked the resources during a medical emergency. I would not recommend any foreigners who visit or retire in the Philippines without an income to support themselves and their partners, if applicable. A minimum of $20,000 in savings and/or high-limit credit cards or good medical insurance to cover medical emergencies. I also recommend an exit plan if things do not work out; there is a plan to return to the country and not be homeless. I have known of four different situations in the last two decades where Americans have passed because of heart failure and did not have the resources to be properly treated. The Philippines is the last place I would want to be without money during a medical emergency. I also recommend a minimum monthly income of $2,000 per month. There are several other expenses not mentioned in the video that need to be considered when moving to the Philippines. Cash is king in the Philippines and $1,300.00 is just not enough.
