I ventured out to Blue Lake on memorial day to try and film the route since it recently became automated. For those who don't know, before this route became automated, a Volvo WX42 Leach Alpha rear loader did garbage here. Not much else to say besides the fact that I'm very disappointed in myself for not making it out to Blue Lake before they rolled out.
Thank you to the driver, Aaron, for letting me film. He is super skilled and kind while doing his job. Drivers like these are why this channel can grow and expand so seriously, thank you.

@@Omaharefuseshorts with SB1383 there are some exceptions. Since it's considered rural they're less strict about it. Same goes for buying diesel trucks. We don't even have an Organics processing facility here yet

@@Omaharefuseshorts we have to build one. We have a greenwaste processing plant but not one for food scraps.

@@Omaharefuseshorts the greenwaste processing plant is different since its basically just a grinder. With food scraps it needs a place to sit and decompose, hence the reason to build one. This is also a different company than the rest of the county basically so it'll be interesting to see how it goes about

@@GarbageNation blue lake was only recently rolled out at the time of recording this so it makes sense. They bought this truck a while back

Before anyone comments about the truck mixing: Both of these carts are for trash, the previous company used blue card for garbage and this company uses grey. There was no roll out between this contract swishing to a new company. For this reason there are a couple stops where there are different colored cans for the stream. Thanks for understanding!

Just a general announcement before i get anymore repeat comments: BOTH OF THESE CONTAINERS ARE FOR TRASH. Not that everyone cares but the previous company in this area used blue carts for trash and grey carts (with blue lids) for recycling. If you dont believe me you can look at the waste thats dumped out of the carts which is obviously garbage, or check out some other videos to see the different varriations of the color code. Thank you!

Good think the homeowner took the time to separate their recycling.
@@TheScottiolla the city this was filmed in has an odd color code. The pervious company that serviced used blue carts for trash, and they new one uses grey. For whatever reason they new company decided not to roll out the city with all new carts, which makes weird stops like this where both colors (although different) are meant for the same stream. Thank you for your concern!
Right cause they don’t really recycle! They just found another way to make you pay more money for nothing. Remember when people used to care about companies becoming a monopoly? Well if one still cared they should look at mid west waste management cause they are buying up their competitors an keeping their name an now they are able to get the price of trash to go super high all cause we are to stupid to pay attention 😊
This video is a little confusing, both of these containers are for trash despite their color due to previous and current companies in the area using different colors for the same streams. As for WM in the Midwest, most of those contracts that they obtained have been lost to newer uprising companies like LRS, Flood Brothers, SBC, and Homewood Disposal Service (HDS).
