Thanks!, it is a 3:1 ratio. 3 parts semi-gloss to 1 part black primer. I have not had any luck matching with spray cans in the past, so I have only ever used automotive paint. You can try your luck with spray cans as it definitely won't cost as much. Good luck and thanks for the support.

Hi, you need to use a good magnifier and check all CD related solder for cracks. Only one thing causes the issue you're having, cracked solder. You just need to find it and reflow it. As your unit heats up and expands it makes good contact at that point. Good luck

@@EightiesNut Thank you for the tip. I took it apart and poked around with a magnifying glass. It now works perfectly. Do you have experience with the SoundTouch series or the older Lifestyle series? I have some of those with a variety of issues. Not much info out there from people that actually worked on them.

Hi, the Comp is basically a BMX racing bike with thin frame tubbing's, thin rims, and tires super light and in most cases 20" The Pro has a couple of factors size and strength frame size between 20" to 21" typically they have a thicker larger frame that is more heavy duty and robust with wider larger rims and tires I would even argue much stronger welds. The bikes play two completely different roles. One is made to be super light for racing and the other is made heavy duty to be able to take a beating and you would not want to use one for the other it's like having an all-terrain vehicle or a race car both awesome but made for two completely different things.

Oh, the Punch 45 is very nostalgic for me. I used it back in the day, for years in my 68 Skylark GS it pushed my "The Punch 6" subs" (mids) in my doors. It truly was a little beast. I still have it somewhere. In the trunk I had two Cerwin Vega 12" home subs before Cerwin Vega made car audio, they were mounted to a baffle board behind my rear seats and the trunk was used as the sub box, free-air. They hit hard and my punch 100 ran cool and never overheated as the subs were 8ohms. For the rear deck, I ran Pioneer 3-way 6x9's Dang! they were good times... Oh sorry, I thought you were kidding. I was talking about the amplifier capacitors on the PCB sometimes they swell or burst and sometimes they just dry out. In the process of failing but not yet failed, you could get chirping sounds or hums, I would just replace all the caps as that will make the sound amazing again. Through time old caps will change the sound quality and because it's gradual slight changes and not drastic changes most people wont notice it. I notice the sound difference immediately because I am so used to listing to them. I could till a unit with new caps compared to a unit with old caps.

Hi, an amplifier MOSFET is typically mounted onto a heatsink (aluminum) to dissipate the heat that the MOSFET produces. That is why so many amplifier housings are made of aluminum as the entire housing is used to despite heat. MOSFET's have four terminal leads however many have three and the ones that have four at times you may use only three, as you can use the source (S) as body (B) MOSFET lead terminals are source (S), gate (G), drain (D), and body (B)

Hi, Thank you! You would need to use needle nose pliers as that ribbon was installed prior to the lid being thermally adhered together. Hold the ribbon as close to the contacts as possible when inserting it. Holding it further out will cause it to buckle. Good luck!

I'm just not sure what is going to cause the ribbon to stay inside the contacts even if I could reinsert, I can see with my headlight. I know they sell just the top so there must be a way to attach the cable again. Otherwise I've just made a very costly mistake. Please help!

It is basically a pinch-press fit, tab-less meaning it does not have a plastic tab (hold-down clip) just insert the ribbon in the same position all the way in nice and even. In this case polarity matters. I have done it many times with no issues at all. By the way, no reputable seller should be selling the top CD lid without the ribbon still intact and still installed as buyers would just run into the same issue you are having without the super thin flat needle nose pliers it becomes rather difficult maybe even impossible. Even some people with tech skills might still have a hard time because of the tight fitment.

The amp might be fine. Try hooking up any speaker to the output on the bottom of the amp just to make sure also make sure it is not the output on the receiver that is bad many times the issue is with the receiver. and at times it's the drivers that's rare but I have seen it. In your case, I do not think you have blown speakers as in most cases blown speakers will damage the amp. Without checking it out myself I would guess the issue is more likely with the receiver.

Hi, have you made sure that the headphone jack is not oxidized? by spinning the male jack if you get a crackling sound then it just needs cleaning. If not then I speculate that you need to replace the caps. Sometimes capacitors don't swell or split they just dry out of old age. Good luck
