The Best of Progressive Goa and Psychedelic Techno, with a touch of Scandinavian Psytrance and Israeli "Trancelestial"... These songs were very touched in Brazil twenty years ago, In a defining moment for the world. Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton & Gus Johnson by Altamiro Peixoto Neto
Saw him not long before he died, he was fantastic. Krupa was my hero, not as fast. Look at the band of buddy's they look sad. Krupa's band always looked happy.
All amazing drummers that I've never heard of except for Buddy - this would be a good place to start taking swing lessons
Lionel Hampton on Xylo...
Chico Hamilton!!
Cab Calloway was doing the moonwalk in the early 30's. He called it 'The Buzz' Nothing is new!
Buddy Rich played matched grip a lot back in the '40s😂❤
Buddy was an amazing drummer but, I agree, he was almost always the center of attention and he made sure of it... That was Buddy.. so, I agree, kind of a funny statement, coming from the Ham himself....lol
11:54 He is definitely from the future
Mr.Chick Webb ( The DADDY!!!) Buddy said it.
people arguing man im tryna learn how to swing
Panama Francis - electrifying playing when the instrumental starts, with a unique Jump Blues/Bebop style. Clear winner for rhythmic feel. But Count Basie the best overall performance. And with Wardell Gray too!
Masters! All of them!
Kkkk
That's Marie Bryant, by the way, dancing with Cab Calloway (12:52-14:30). Met her once in Los Angeles in the mid-1980s; she still had it. (Her footwork with Paul White to Duke Ellington's 'Bli-Blip' [1942] is worth a look.)
All great. Buddy playing Match grip. That's a first. He always plays traditional. Evangelist Roger Mansour former Leslie West Vagrants Drummer
Rufus speedy Jones just like buddy, why you didn't Rufus
Why you didn't mention Rufus speedy Jones
What happened to Rufus speedy Jones
Chick Webb was an Champ! Kent Vogel A.S.C.A.P WBD
Buddy Rich is the best drummer ever
11:18 ROCK ))
The buddy Rich quote is HILARIOUS as he is the ONLY drummer in this list who is FRONT and CENTER playing with orchestra!!! 😆🤣
Eventually he became a band leader and took his place front and center
Hola, para mí él siempre será Gene krupa. Y la mejor interpretación de batería té veré en mi bateria,de Shadows, no niego que actualmente también hay excelentes bateristas.
Como el jazz de los primeros años ninguno
Buddy Rich with Match Grip!!!!!
there is Buddy Rich and then there is everybody else
Max Roach is the tops
CC footage amazing! And matched grip Buddy. Wow.
Just a look at the left hand will tell you, these are drummers.

What a fun 20 minutes I just had.
This was a better, sweet world, what ever happened to us
Back when respect, patience, and honour meant something. Whatever was left of them, covid wiped most of that out, it seems. Sad.

Lars ulrich??? 😭😭😭
Check out Buddy using matched grip with the sticks.
Humans can do marvelous things.
Great collection thanks !
Interesting to see Buddy Rich playing with matched grip 🤔

В 21ом...веке отсутствуют такие таланты. Есчо не родились.
An amazing compilation of the true drumming masters of the past.

Buddy rich was a beast
Será que eu sou o único Brasileiro que gosta desse tipo de música e não os lixos de hoje ?
brother eu sou brasileiro, meu sogro que me emprestou o vídeo também...somos raros mas existimos.
Non as good as Gene Krupa !
Back in that day and era musicians had to utilize "choreography" to make the music "visual" for the audience.
The drummer at 7:00 looks like John Legend
