We are a father-son duo who took up mountain bike riding during the Covid lockdown in 2021. I am in my 50s and my son is a teenager, together we want to inspire others young and old to get out there and have a go.
As newbies to the sport, we were inspired by the many MTB Channels that we have learned many of our basics from and found out about the trails we wanted to ride. We decided to document our experience for other newbies, to know they are not alone, and not everyone is a pro when they start out.
We will share our wins and fails as well as the awesome trails that we explore on our journey!

UKI | A crashed have ended my ride.
Join us for an adventure as Dave, Rod & Tom ride at Uki Bike Park! Although we encountered some rain, it didn't stop us from having fun, and the guys managed to clear the much bigger jumps at the park. Unfortunately, I had a crash that ended my ride. Cheers.

Once again, we went to Thredbo for the second time this year, just two weeks before the bike park season closed. We hadn't planned on riding Mt. Narra, but due to the rain, we ended up doing it. We didn't know what to expect and were definitely out of our comfort zone riding this trail, especially in the wet conditions. Kosciuszko Flow | Full Run

As I mentioned in my previous video, this is the full run of one of the trails we rode at Thredbo. We had to stop a few times, but that's the only part I edited. Kosciuszko Flow is a 6km blue trail that runs from top to bottom. It's a flow trail with lots of little jumps to enjoy along the way.

In this episode, i am riding at First Turkey, Rockhampton. I went for a Christmas Eve ride, and as you can see from the video, the trail system is massive with long hill climbs. I rode alone, and it got a bit eerie at times. I felt like everything was out to get me. I want to give a big shout out to Mick from @mickandcraneysmtb1410 for his trail loop advice. On our way through to Rockhampton, we decided to make a stop and check out the Tewantin trails. Nearby to Noosa, at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, these flowy fun trails gave us plenty to like and we will definitely be back. Thanks to @Boboo5 for showing us around.

When I lived in Canberra a mate and I used to ride there after work every Wednesday, it’s a great place even if we did injure ourselves a bit . Love you zest for life mate , makes me want to get out there and ride
Thanks for watching. I wish I had taken up this sport when I was younger because I truly love it. I have made a whole new group of friends that I meet on the trails and have seen parts of Australia that I wouldn't normally visit. Definitely get out there if you can. Cheers, mate.

I had a relative lunch gathering today which was good to go to as nice relos we hardly ever catch up with in spite of being the same family name and living nearby in Brisbane…one of those things. Great video mate 👍,, just back after a week there & Eden 😎🤘 Whats the go with your mates knee pads after he got cheese grated ??About as usefull as tits on a bull , those pads lol 😝 I personally prefer pads with hard shell that dont slip up when you eat shit , just slide along the ground !!

@@madaboutmtb.21 Eden was fun 🤩 with some awsome trails but a lot weren’t open to to fuel reduction burn 🔥 and storm they had 4 days before we got there ! We were both on muscle 💪 bikes and the lay out for loops & up trails was pretty average taking you all the way back to trail head , seriously needing a link track ! If you can self shuttle or organise enough people for the local shuttle it would be fine . Narooma just has a way better lay out and way more trails catering for everyone 😎🤘 Cheers 🍻

Hey mate, you definitely can self shuttle but only up to the playground zone, not all the way up the gravity zone. Looking back on this video, i should have ridden the other black trails on the gravity zone. Oh well, More motivation for me to come back. Thanks for watching mate. 🙂
