@@FindWithDavid The owner had a gate titan installed, the rest was stock. I just opened up the bushings so it would run smother, gave it a clean and regrease to all parts. Fitted a flat hop rubber and flat nub set Cleaned the barrel. He's happy with it.
I have the MPAX arrive and I have been having problems with it. With my gearbox configuration (13:1 gears, 21.5mm nozzle, tuned well), the stock hop feeds at ~1.14J flawlessly. But with the MPAX hop, it does not feed at all. I'm a bit dumbfounded by it. Any advice?
I'm just throwing out some ideas, things to check. Is the tappet timing good the nozzle staying open long enough to allow the next bb to feed. Is the mag feed tube lining up with the unit feed tube allowing the bb retaining latch to pushed back to release the bbs from the mag. Have you got maple left hop rubber installed they have longer lips and stop bbs feeding. If you can explain a bit more on the feed issue.
@JBAIRSOFTIRELAND Thanks for reaching. I don't think tappet timing is an issue. With the stock hop swapped in with no modifications at all done to the gearbox, the MP5 will feed perfectly. The mag is latching into the chamber. Bbs are going out of the mag. The bottom of the hop is full of bbs but none are entering the barrel. Occasionally, when inserting the mag the first time, the first round will feed (sometimes well or poorly), but the rest won't. Testing done with the stock and mpax hop is with Cyma brand MP5 midcaps. I am also not using a maple leaf hop. I am using a 4UAD bucking. The bucking was tested in both stock and MPAX chambers. Stock chamber fed nicely. I don't know if nozzle length is a factor or if a nozzle is not meshing well with the chamber. First nozzle was a Maxx 21.50mm nozzle. Stock chamber feeds perfectly. I also tried an EPeS 21.4mm nozzle. Stock chamber is still perfect, no luck on the mpax. Interestingly, i tried a Maxx 21.25mm nozzle and the mpax feeds intermittently. Feeding also seems more consistent pushing the mag forward. I am reluctant to try a shorter nozzle due to FPS loss concerns. I'm very confused.
@Mathematicus671 I did fit the begadi green 21.50 nozzle after for a better seal. Maybe try removing the rubber oring from the front on the barrel. Have you tried different hop rubber with mpax unit. Also look at the centre section of the nozzles they have a ridge at that will determine where the nozzle stops in the nop unit.
@JBAIRSOFTIRELAND I've tried multiple variations of removing and adding the different O-Rings from the included MPAX hop. I have also tried Maple Leaf, Lonex, and G&G rubbers without much luck. I've done some experimenting and the MPAX seems to feed well with a 21.00mm nozzle with the MPAX O-Ring towards the gearbox removed (with O-Ring present, feeding is intermittent). I am a little bothered by the power loss (approximately 0.15J). Edit: just to clarify, 21.50mm and 21.25mm nozzles do not feed well even with that same O-ring removed.
Have you got a delayer chip on the sector gear to pull the nozzle back that little bit more with 21.50 nozzle. I don't know what else to try, when I tested with the stock nozzle it was feeding fine but had low power, I got the owner to order the same length nozzle, the begadi nozzle and it worked great without issue.
Hello man, i don’t know if you could help me, i got an aap01 and it wont feed the bbs, i tried with different mags and it wont help, I checked of broken parts but couldn’t see any, i guess its “the stick” that moves the ball from the charger to the chamber that might be worn out, but it hasn’t been used that much. Any help would be appreciated ❤❤❤.
@@Nallopro_v2 Have you got it short stroked that can stop the bolt going back enough to push bb forward. The other mags you tried are they Action Army or different brand. If you upload a shot video on your YT and show me the bb push rod on bottom of the nozzle.
Hop units don't really do much for accuracy and distance. Good quality bbs 0.3g 0.32g clean barrel for better straight accurate shots. Good hop rubber like FPS softair flat hop set for longer distance shots. The only reason the guy wanted the unit charging was because it wouldn't hold hop on the arm was constantly moving removing hop.
@@andresbascur9249 Feeding was bad due to the mag front lips holding bbs tight. Fitting the full hammer kit stopped it going full auto in semi. Are you having issues?
@ Yes, it was in full auto and now with the bearing it is solved but I am left with the power problem. That didn't happen before, it empties the entire magazine without problems. Now it has 20 bbs inside.
My experience was the bucking was made correctly and solved a feeding issue with my RPK but had terrible distance. It seems to just lob the .32 bbs and could barely hit 100ft.
@@BallewBlade86 They feed grate, distance was okay, but wouldn't fly straight. I got better results when I flat hopped one and used a flat nub it's shooting far and straight. 🤷🏼♂️
I have one on a 1911 tapped to hpa has anyone ever had an issue where its fine and then all of a sudden you cant shoot nothing, i fix it by ejecting the drum mag and using a normal green gas mag clear the 1911 then go back to the hpa all is good intill it happens again
@@joshualewis9167 Does it jam nozzle sticking on BB, or just blank fire, BBs not coming up to the top of mag ? Upload a video on your channel showing the issue when it happens, but before ejecting the drum mag, pull the slide back slightly to reveal the nozzle and hop unit and see if BBs loaded up and in the hop.
@@thewazir9064 I believe they are just a standard gearbox but the air nozzle and hop unit is different. look on Google at Australia gell blaster shops.
The colour indicates the shore. green is 50 degrees, blue is 60, and black is 70. As for lenght, it is the usual lenght that one would use in an M4 hop up chamber.

Very good info indeed, my light weight bbu is not completing its full cycle * having to push the bbu only a little way back in to seal, its almost if its getting caught on something to complete the cycle. Will a WE G18C fit? Not sure if the C makes it slightly deferent?

A closer inspection it appears that the jam or more so the cycle that don't complete happens when the mag is lent on upwards during games, Therefore putting pressure between the magazine gas transfer seal and the nozzle itself not fully aligning again, which doesn't reset the trigger. My only fix would be grease but pretty much dries up straight away after a few firing cycles

Sorry didn't get notification of your comment. Yeah could be a bad batch for sure, I flat hopped two and used flat nubs and they work great. I'm working on testing the other two in new magnus tdc hop units arriving soon.

I own tons of magazines, from different brands, different shapes, materials... somo worked with a certain hop unit, others with another unit... it was a mess to make all different mags feed in all different guns. The fix was pretty simple, i just filed the bb stoper in all my magazines so the magazine will feed with less pressure from the hop unit, just dont file too much so the stopper stops doing its job and keeps holding the bbs ^^ Waiting for that 4uad buckings review!
@@fubene5495 My issue on this one was the BB stopper wasn't being engaged by the unit feed tube the mags wasn't getting pushed up high enough for the feed tube to push the stopper. 4uad hop rubbers should be here soon hopefully. coming from china they say 2/6 weeks
When you do them and flatten them level with the mold leave them set for a few minutes before you push the hop arm down to make the mount section. let them dry for 24h before removing them from the mold. Good luck with them👍🏻

@@giorgoslir Thanks. I removed the epoxy and tried something else. I got a thin plastic tube slightly larger width than the ⭕ part on the valve. I cut it size so I can close or open the square ⬛ sections by pushing it in or out if I want to. I got the tube from a water spray bottle. it's on one of the videos.

I was about to comment "just get rid of that f**** VFC unit" when you did it XD, if its VFC internals it is just crap, absolutly crap internals for the price you are paying for the gun, externals amazing, internals..... And i bet if you swap to a regular bucking you will notice an increase in power aswell. Never worked well for me r-hop, s-hop, flat hop... only with gbbrs and heavy weight ammo, but with AEGs i always obtain better results with regular buckings, guarder, maple leaf or madbull, depending on the barrel and the nozzle length. Maybe you can save that tdc and use it with the E&C unit.
@@fubene5495 No not VFC AEG just the unit is, I have a few of them and all working great with flat hop. the TDC is designed for the VFC unit. I'll get it working I just didn't have the patience for it at the time. I do have a VFC Avalon 4 years old still going good only thing that happened with it was selector ⚙️ cog screw hole stripped.
@@fubene5495 The mcx and vr16 also have issues with gearbox internals gear's smashing bearings fail. the way I look at it, it's pointless paying 400/500 for a AEG just to fix factory mistakes. the only AEG I paid full price for was the VFC Avalon the rest I got on discount 40/50% off
The vfc hop unit is really bad and naturally gives you lower fps. Zci plastic hop units with a 60 degree macron and omega nub gets the best results on a gun shooting 1J
@@simonegan7813 I've tried the ZCI unit with that combo before and it wouldn't seal I tried it with different rubbers barrels nozzles barrel springs hop unit springs different AEGs. Maple leaf rubbers are not good that's why I changed to FPS ones. issue I was having with this, was the barrel wasn't pushed in enough I tried with another VFC unit worked good I have the one with TDC back in with the FPS rubber everything set right getting 1.07j 0.98j with the hop set.
Very good optic except mine i need to tweak with the battery cap otherwise sometimes the dot will not work and it stops working after i switch the light intensity
what is your outerbarrel thread cause i got mine in america so i got a orange tip, when i removed it i found out that the thread was much bigger than 11mm
I don't own this pistol it was in to get power lowered, I just filmed disassembly to help people make it easy for them. if you contact Nov customer service they will can give you info about that. sorry I couldn't help.
I have the version CNC in 2 of my guns and they both work fine. There's no real FPS difference in my cyma sr25 or my double eagle m4. I love in the states and you can't really get the polymer chamber in the states and not paint Taiwan gun the postage to get something that's only $15.
If you look at the ZCI metal unit they are the same as prowin. element. SHS. lancer tactical and other brands, I don't know the OEM but looks like they all come from one manufacturer. Best hop unit I have found that works great VFC. great seal, 0 barrel movement, feed's great fit's in all my guns.
My AAP01 is brand new and I shot it in the winter and it didn’t shoot but then I realized it was because of the cold so then I waited all summer and now it’s summer and it’s 80° out but when I shoot it it jams and stops shooting, I shoot and then the thing that you pull back to reload stops halfway before closing and it’s almost impossible to close. It’s been doing this now even though it’s almost brand new. Any fixes?
Sorry I didn't reply until now I didn't get notification. what I did was remove material from the thee flat sections on bottom of the rear sight, and i done the same on the bottom of the spring guide rod. And a slight dremel on the back bottom section on the inside of ejection port

What bucking is that from Begadi? You mention FLY5 in the comments but there are several versions of those.

I had exactly the same issue. You know it amazes me just how many things can go wrong as soon as you 'upgrade' from standard.
@@mark77woody It's down to companies not doing proper testing they probably put a few BBs through one hop rubber and that's where it stopped
its possible to remove al ambi stuff and gears to universal and only right side fireselector?

@thejakeanade1601 Try none silicone grease or oil. I don't use any Airsoft grease or oil s, I use lip balm you get in the little tins doesn't dry up 😉

Hey Im late but my aap01 shoots only few bullets and the slide stay back and I need to rack it again… PLS HELPPP

@@JBAIRSOFTIRELAND I got the problem, its because the thing that you can click on and put the slide back does not have a spring so it just open the slide, but i dont know how to remove or fix it. But thx for the response!
@@sleyddyboby131 it doesn't have a spring to Push that up the little nub bit at the left top side of the mag when all BBs have been fired pushes up the slide lock
@@sleyddyboby131 They have an issue with the AA mag locking back the slide with a BB still left in the mag

I was about to comment "just get rid of that f**** VFC unit" when you did it XD, if its VFC internals it is just crap, absolutly crap internals for the price you are paying for the gun, externals amazing, internals..... And i bet if you swap to a regular bucking you will notice an increase in power aswell. Never worked well for me r-hop, s-hop, flat hop... only with gbbrs and heavy weight ammo, but with AEGs i always obtain better results with regular buckings, guarder, maple leaf or madbull, depending on the barrel and the nozzle length. Maybe you can save that tdc and use it with the E&C unit.
@@fubene5495 No not VFC AEG just the unit is, I have a few of them and all working great with flat hop. the TDC is designed for the VFC unit. I'll get it working I just didn't have the patience for it at the time. I do have a VFC Avalon 4 years old still going good only thing that happened with it was selector ⚙️ cog screw hole stripped.
@@JBAIRSOFTIRELAND Maybe only the 416 series are cursed, cause i had to replace the whole gearbox, because everything inside exploded XD
@@fubene5495 The mcx and vr16 also have issues with gearbox internals gear's smashing bearings fail. the way I look at it, it's pointless paying 400/500 for a AEG just to fix factory mistakes. the only AEG I paid full price for was the VFC Avalon the rest I got on discount 40/50% off
The vfc hop unit is really bad and naturally gives you lower fps. Zci plastic hop units with a 60 degree macron and omega nub gets the best results on a gun shooting 1J
@@simonegan7813 I've tried the ZCI unit with that combo before and it wouldn't seal I tried it with different rubbers barrels nozzles barrel springs hop unit springs different AEGs. Maple leaf rubbers are not good that's why I changed to FPS ones. issue I was having with this, was the barrel wasn't pushed in enough I tried with another VFC unit worked good I have the one with TDC back in with the FPS rubber everything set right getting 1.07j 0.98j with the hop set.
Very good optic except mine i need to tweak with the battery cap otherwise sometimes the dot will not work and it stops working after i switch the light intensity
@@limmygoob Hi if you look inside the cap you will see six spring type prongs try bend them out a little see if that helps

It's still not right. I'm not happy yet with the sound, I have a new HT motor coming so will shim it again to the new motor.

@@alanobrien295 it still has a slight bit of a screech to it and some heat build up on the motor grip so hopefully new motor will stop that.

what is your outerbarrel thread cause i got mine in america so i got a orange tip, when i removed it i found out that the thread was much bigger than 11mm
I don't own this pistol it was in to get power lowered, I just filmed disassembly to help people make it easy for them. if you contact Nov customer service they will can give you info about that. sorry I couldn't help.
@@JBAIRSOFTIRELAND i found out the thread they have on their website for the ssp5 works on the barrel and you don't have to purchase a new one

🤔 Maybe I should have used a carrot 🥕 it's not great quality but you still can see what I'm doing.
I have the version CNC in 2 of my guns and they both work fine. There's no real FPS difference in my cyma sr25 or my double eagle m4. I love in the states and you can't really get the polymer chamber in the states and not paint Taiwan gun the postage to get something that's only $15.
If you look at the ZCI metal unit they are the same as prowin. element. SHS. lancer tactical and other brands, I don't know the OEM but looks like they all come from one manufacturer. Best hop unit I have found that works great VFC. great seal, 0 barrel movement, feed's great fit's in all my guns.
My AAP01 is brand new and I shot it in the winter and it didn’t shoot but then I realized it was because of the cold so then I waited all summer and now it’s summer and it’s 80° out but when I shoot it it jams and stops shooting, I shoot and then the thing that you pull back to reload stops halfway before closing and it’s almost impossible to close. It’s been doing this now even though it’s almost brand new. Any fixes?
You should return it or get it replaced if you can.
If you can’t check it’s internals for any damaged parts the hammer is a part that often breaks
Sorry I didn't reply until now I didn't get notification. what I did was remove material from the thee flat sections on bottom of the rear sight, and i done the same on the bottom of the spring guide rod. And a slight dremel on the back bottom section on the inside of ejection port
