Hazel Green, Kentucky
Hazel Green, Kentucky (Wolfe County) is dad's ancestral home. His mother, Hattie Lee Nickell, was born and raised here. His father, Andrew Jackson Nickell, was born and raised in Lee City, also in Wolfe County, very close to Hazel Green. When dad passed away on June 18, 2023, he asked me to scatter some of his ashes on his mom's grave in Hazel Green. This video represents the fulfillment of that promise.

Memorial for Mom & Eddie

Four years after the deaths of our mother Tina and brother Eddie, the Nickell family gathered in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, to celebrate their lives and scatter their ashes in the Gulf of Mexico. The ceremony had been delayed due to Covid travel restrictions, but this reunion renewed family ties and helped to bring closure to a great loss we are all still feeling today.
