The piece of armor that you rolled and got reactive is the piece doing it, Reactive has an AOE damage, The Unique Manta is called Contamination and that also is reactive and is a very challenging dino to tame because you cant get near it or you die from AOE, takes a few tries till you figure out a plan to tame this one.

Edit, the reason so many were triggered is because instead of a 200 level beaver, you'll end up with a 175, which could be a lot of difference when it levels up to it's full potential.
