    "I really appreciate this video showing an unsuccessful patient assessment during the exam. It’s helpful to see real-life examples of what can go wrong, as it gives us a chance to learn and improve. It’s not just about showing success but also understanding mistakes. Thank you for sharing this! If possible, could you also post a video related to administering Entonox? That would be incredibly useful as well."

  • @IamQrock
    @IamQrock 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I really enjoy these videos. I also appreciate the fact that they showed a video of a failed attempt. This not only shows that just because you fail once that doesn’t mean you’ll be unsuccessful, but it also shows that you really have to study, know the material, and the steps needed to properly assess the patients. I’ve been so locked in. I’m an EMR right now. I know some people feel it’s a waste but I’m going for EMT right now and I’m a stronger EMT student because of it. Very similar psychomotor skills to EMT so my second set of psychomotor skills for EMT will be that much more fluid and seamless. Thanks for taking the time to post these vids. I definitely tune into them all!

      Ultimately, if the patient wants to go to the hospital, we have to take them regardless of how mild their chief complaint is and if our treatment improves their symptoms. This is also a 16 year old patient so they’re underage and nothing was said about a parent being around, and their initial AxO wasn’t a 4. The EMT also used a medication on them that although is the same as the medication they’re on, it wasn’t the actual medication they were prescribed with their name on it.

    • @IdahoMedicalAcademy
      @IdahoMedicalAcademy 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! We get where you're coming from, but this is a NREMT scenario with the assumption that every patient will be going to the hospital. Refusals are something that providers will work through once they're in the field.

    Some of the best EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic videos on TH-cam. Haven’t seen one yet that wasn’t super helpful. It’s only a matter of time until your subscribers/views skyrocket with the effort put into these and the EMS community begins to see how well done these videos are.
